Jane was the perfect officiant for our wedding! She was super helpful in guiding us to write our vows and fit the wording of the ceremony to suit us. She had the perfect balance of humour and romance and especially important to us, was very inclusive in her language. We've already recommended her to other recently engaged couples and will continue to do so!

Erika officiated our wedding on Thanksgiving weekend and was an absolute dream to work with. We had constant and quick communication lines open with her from the day we signed on. Our ceremony was absolutely gorgeous and Erika played the biggest role in that, we chose the custom and creative ceremony and were shocked at how little we actually needed or wanted to do & change. Our ceremony went off without a hitch and was very personalised to my (now) husband and I. Erika guided us through this process and made me feel completely comfortable and confident in everything that was going to happen surrounding the wedding. YH&M is not your "average" officiant service, they really do care and truly want to support you through your big day. We worked with Jane for our wedding and we are SO glad we did. Jane was incredibly professional and was able to adapt her style to the tone of the wedding. She really took the time to get to know us and was able to add personal touches to our ceremony that made all of the difference. Beth Carlson-Malena was our wedding officiant in May 2022. She made us feel at ease in our initial meeting, and put together the ceremony of our dreams. Our friends and family cannot stop raving about the ceremony, how much it felt like us, and how much they enjoyed Beth herself.

In Sept 2022, when we decided we wanted to elope in Nov 2022, we had emailed a few places and YH&M was one of the places that immediately reached out within 24 hours and was able to set up a time to have a call with me. Needless to say, I thought we weren't going to be able to get married on the day we wanted but had hoped for the best with the short time frame given. We all know in the wedding industry, you are booking dates way in advance.

On the day of my call time with Danya, I had actually forgot to reach out and Danya was kind enough to reach out again if we were still on (I really appreciated this as a busy working Mom!) YH&M came through and was able to make our dreams come true to get married on the date we wanted in November. From the moment I had my phone call with Danya to coordinating with Erika who was marrying us, along with Amber who was going to be our photographer - also set up by YH&M! It was by far the easiest to deal with all in one place. If you are looking to elope, please look no further because the YH&M team covers it all from the booking, your officiant, and helicopter elopement (what we chose!). When I was first looking for an officiant I had a lot of concerns. I'm a non-traditional bride and our wedding was so diverse that I was worried that I would have a super traditional and rigid officiant. My husband and I found YH&M through looking up online reviews and we were really drawn to the fact that we could customize the ceremony. They were so responsive once we filled in the information form. We got to meet our officiant before making any commitments as well.

Our officiant was Rhona and she was absolutely amazing! Her energy matched my partner and I so well. She was so helpful and responsive when we emailed her with questions. Having her at our rehearsal made everything run so smoothly on the day. We asked her for a very sweet ceremony with some humour and she absolutely delivered! The ceremony was absolutely the highlight of the wedding. All of our friends and family thought she was great!

One the best choices made as part of our wedding planning process. Erika. Is. AMAZING! Super friendly and charismatic! We opted for the Custom and Creative Ceremony option and, while it was a bit on the pricey side, it was worth every penny with many of our guests saying they loved the ceremony as it was unique and different from so many weddings they have attending in the past.

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was choosing Erika from YH&M to be our officiant. From the moment we had our first meeting, we knew we had made the right choice. Jane officiated our wedding this past weekend and it was amazing! We really wanted a wedding that was short and sweet but had a lot of fun and humor to it. Jane captured all of that! All our guests said the ceremony was so much fun and so "us" and we really appreciate how Jane could capture so much about the two of us. Booking with young hip and married was super easy. Rebecca was very communicative and responded to my million questions prior to booking. On the day of, Shalom was a joy to work with! Beth, our officiant, made the day something special. Our guests thought she was a long-time friend, yet we only met her in person the day we were married! We didn't want the usual "I thee wed" formal church-style ceremony. We are in our 40's and wanted to celebrate our union with our friends and family. She told our "origin" love story with humour and grace, and made the entire ceremony fun and memorable. The "how to write your vows" video help series was hugely valuable too, and almost all our guests commented on our great vows. Wholeheartedly recommend YH&M and Beth in particular!

Stephen Anderson was a wonderful officiant! My sister got married this weekend, and Stephen was the perfect fit for the small gathering we had at Lighthouse Park. He met us in the parking lot and we all walked down the trail together to the spot the couple had picked. At no point did we ever feel rushed. Stephen was was very personable, very well put together, and really made their ceremony effortless. He stood off to the side, which was much appreciated, so we could get some awesome photos of just the couple during their special moment. 10/10 would recommend!

HIGHLY recommend using YHAM for your big day! We fortunately got the dynamic duo! We had Shawn as our officiant and his wife Erica as our photographer. Jane was our wedding officiant. She is one most likely to gather a huge crowd whenever she talks. She is inspiring and professional on her approach. Hence, our wedding went well as planned. We were so happy to have found Young Hip & Married! We wanted a simple beach wedding and they took care of the important things like the officiant & photographer. Service was amazing and we couldn't be happier with how our wedding day turned out. It was absolutely perfect!

We were engaged in early April and between the pandemic and having all of our family on the other side of the family, we were unsure how we would plan our wedding. After scrolling through different wedding officiant services, something about YHMs page caught our eye. We had no idea where or when, but we sent off an email. From the very first response we could tell we choose correctly. They were so helpful and quick to respond, they spent time helping us decide where and when we gave them our date, they immediately said they could accommodate us. Erika our officiant was so helpful with handling most of the wedding license process and guided us with the rest. On our special day, our officiant Erika greeted us like old friends and we instantly felt comfortable. She was the perfect addition to our day and we will remember her fondly always!
Our photographer, Erica was also out of this world. She was there for the entire process from the first email. Showing us photos of locations and helping us decide on the perfect time. We got married standing next to the ocean at sunset and it was PERFECT. Erica even watched the weather and the tides leading up to our day to ensure the perfect day. Her genuine sincerity and the level of care that she puts into her clients and her work, is unmatched. We cannot imagine our day with anyone else. We are both pretty shy and Erica was able to direct us, with out really telling us to pose, by just getting us to be ourselves and laugh, she was incredible.
The photos here absolutely stunning, she captured every moment and every emotion in that moment. Our photos will forever make us laugh, cry and smile at all the detail and emotion she captured.
Everything with YHM was so seamless and stress-free, everything was planned so well and the communication was flawless. We had such a great experience with Beth, Clint, and the whole Young Hip & Married team for our small elopement this summer. We originally just booked the elopement package as we had our own photographer, but when plans with our own photographer fell through the team at YH&M were quick to find us a replacement photographer even though our wedding date was just weeks away.
Our officiant Beth took the time to ask questions about our relationship and incorporate our answers into a customized ceremony script. She even accommodated our request to include our secret handshake into the ceremony. It was perfect!
Our photographer Clint was awesome to work with. He was professional but casual and friendly in a way that made us feel comfortable infront of the camera. He had great ideas for poses and photo locations, and we never felt awkward infront of the camera.

My wife and I had called upon Young Hip & Married when we were on the hunt for an officiant for our wedding. We were immediately introduced to Beth and clicked right away. My wife and I were already doing a completely different wedding away from our traditional Indian culture so there was some pressure for Beth. We were fortunate enough to have Beth officiate our wedding. A true professional! She was was incredibly top-notch, kind, funny and wonderfully easy to talk to. Beth got in touch with us via Zoom and spoke to us about how we wanted to tailor our wedding. She was extremely flexible and generous with our needs while masterfully creating the perfect script for the ceremony itself. She kept us informed every step of the way, and if we needed to make any changes, she was always supportive and constructive with our requests.

Before we began writing vows, I felt like an amateur. However, Beth provided us a PDF of vow writing tips and tricks for my spouse and I to study. Following her instructions, I carefully spent a couple of days drafting and writing my vows until they were just right. On the day of the ceremony, we recited them as planned and even 4 weeks after the wedding we are STILL receiving compliments for our vows. This was all thanks to Beth!

Before the wedding began, she came to find me before the ceremony and assured us that everything was going smoothly. It gave me so much peace of mind. She helped give the wedding party very easy-to-follow instructions on where to stand and what to do. This took immense pressure off of us, since we chose not to go with a rehearsal and went with a very simple ceremony instead.

You will not be disappointed with YH&M. Beth went above and beyond and I truly believe that her expertise is proof that YH&M genuinely cares about their clientele.

My husband and I got married through young hip & married and it is the most amazing service we have had. Our officiants name was Layne and he was the absolute sweetest and the most relaxed. 10/10 would recommend for anybody!

We got married in September 2020 and had Peter La Grand as our officiant. Right from the start, Michael and I both knew he was the perfect officiant for us! He was incredibly easy-going and focused, which took all of the buzzing anxiety out of the room so that we could focus on what we wanted and needed to think about.

He is also very organized! After our initial meeting, he sent us a thorough survey covering every aspect of the ceremony to get a feel for what it was that we wanted. He even reached out to our wedding party to gather little testimonials. Due to COVID, our wedding parties couldn't make it, but hearing their loving words of encouragement made it feel like they were right there with us on the big day.

Peter was very quick to respond and apply any edits we made to the script, often within minutes of us making them! When he arrived for the rehearsal, he was great doling out responsibilities to my two young nephews who were our ring bearer's. On the day, he was just incredible, full of smiles and laughter and giving our photographers enough room to snap that 'first kiss' shot.

All in all Peter was exceptionally personable, professional, kindhearted, and easy to talk with. I would absolutely recommend him and YHM to anyone planning their wedding day.

We decide to do a Covid year wedding since we had no idea when things will get back to normal again. However, this choice came with a lot of changes along the way during our planning phase. Young Hip & Married went above and beyond accommodating all our date, time, and location changes. We bombarded them with a ton of e-mails, and was all answered with kindness and patience. Shawn was beyond amazing marrying us. He was so genuine, and his bubbly personality and wonderful speech really made the day even better than it was. Emily delivered us wonderful pictures that told our story of that morning, and she delivered sneak peaks to us immediately just because I needed to share it with family overseas. I would definitely recommend them to couples seeking to get married with little hassle!

Honestly the best wedding officiants in Vancouver and quite possibly the world. The fact that they continue to grow and serve more and more couples speaks volumes for Shawn's vision and his commitment to his clients.

My fiance and I were very excited to be wed in Squamish and with the pandemic we had to postpone our ceremony. Then with the newest restrictions our employers require approval to leave the province. Which is completely out of our control. Unfortunately we were not refunded our full payment. I get it, they have a business to run. But this is also supposed to be a special day for us. We were not given the option to postpone due to the restrictions of our employer. So we had no other option than to cancel.

Chris-Ann designed us the most intimate and personal wedding ceremony filled with love, laughter and everything in between. There wasn't a dry eye at our wedding, mixed with smiles and cheers. Everyone has been talking about how intimate and personal and beautiful our ceremony was and that was the response we were hoping for. Thank you for guiding us through the process of writing our own personal vows and for marrying us. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant.

We used Young Hip and Married to plan our small wedding ceremony. They were easy to talk to and very helpful. We had to postpone our wedding once due to covid and they were very accommodating, our photographer has to cancel the day before due to person reasons and they were able to find us a new one right away.

They were able to work with us and advise on the difficult procedures to do with COVID restrictions, and when our original officiant with them had to drop out due to unforeseen circumstances, we were set up with a new and also great replacement immediately.

Young Hip and Married has great officiants and helps ensure you are with the one that works best for not only you as a couple, but for your ceremony. From the moment we met Peter La Grand we knew we wanted him to be our officiant. His calm welcoming presence made us feel comfortable from the get go. He worked continuously with us to customize the script to our liking and made sure our day could be as perfect as possible. Seeing as my wife and I are rather shy, Peter offered to do most of the talking for us which we are beyond thankful for. He made the ceremony memorable and very personal to us which helped everyone feel more involved and connected.

Although we got married during Covid, Peter helped ensure an appropriate, yet very safe ceremony. On top of that we had a slight emergency, which delayed our ceremony start time, but Peter stayed calm and helped keep me calm and ready for the ceremony. He was beyond flexible with timing and location as we had multiple different ideas up until the last week when we finally decided on a date and location.

I could not have asked for a better officiant than Peter La Grand. All of his work and wording was exquisite, and the ceremony he performed for us was breathtaking. If only we had a reason to work with Peter again.

Honestly we were so pleased with our little covid wedding. Many changes had to take place to finally get a wedding, but we are so thrilled with how it turned out, and how accommodating Young Hip and Married were. Shawn was so magnetic and engaging he had us so present in the moment. The few guests we had, and who watched the ceremony virtually thought Shawn had been our friend for years, when in fact we had never spoke before that morning!

We recently got married in Nov 2020 during the height of the second wave lockdowns here in BC. It was extremely stressful time to say the least as our venue closed its doors 7 days out form the wedding and we went from a 50 person wedding to having just our families there. It was challenging but our amazing Officiant JANE was supportive and worked with us to make changes on the fly. We ended up pushing the wedding out one week to a new venue and she was able to accommodate us. In terms of the ceremony we wanted to have something that highlighted both of our different cultures and again Jane did a great job of working with us on those pieces. We also wanted the ceremony to feel spiritual and special and Jane hit the spot so right. She was easy to work with, responsive, fun, and professional! We were so happy and would certainly recommend Jane and Young Hip & Married to anyone looking for an Officiant.
