Best place I went to in Canada on my trip, miss it everyday. Although heads up that the sushi has wasabi under the sashimi.

Wow! Perfect place for a date, and the food is Soo good! We heard Vancouver has the best Japanese food. It would have to be very very good to complete with Yua.

Outstanding sushi, wonderful staff always very happy to see us, not usually a big crowd, the atmosphere is quite bright and more group oriented than date oriented, though if you know your sushi, this is a good place to be! I highly recommend it! One of my go to good restaurants in Victoria!

A really nice sushi spot tucked away on the street. Nice atmosphere and food. Great for a more intimate dining experience.

Atmosphere: Clean and pleasant inside. It looks much nicer on the inside than how it looks on the outside.

Service: The service was welcoming and very helpful with the menu item questions. It wasn't busy at all, so the service was quick.

Food: I ordered the veggie box. The portions from a glance looked quite small, but after almost finishing it, I realized it was more than enough food. I everything tasted fresh and was presented nicely. Miso soup actually tasted like it didn't come in a package.

The highlight was the veggie rolls. I've never had a more unique tasting veggie roll before. I was very impressed with the flavours. Clearly, someone spent a lot of time coming up with some of these recipes.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. I haven't tried the other items on the menu, but I certainly will come back for more.

The food here was so delicious! I got the vegetable oju box from the lunch menu and it was a great variety of food for a good price. Left my meal feeling full and happy. The staff was kind too!

In my opinion this is the best Japanese restaurant in Victoria right now although there’s not much serious competition aside from Sen Zushi. The vibe and atmosphere of this place is relaxed yet sophisticated and they have a range of delicious dishes to try.

Amazingly fresh tempura and the premium nigiri was an absolute steal for how delicious it tasted. Service was attentive and pleasant with a fun attitude. Don't pass this hidden gem up on your travels, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic sushi. My favourite miso soup by far in Victoria. Beautiful presentation and the decor of the restaurant is very nice. Staff was friendly, polite and service was quick. I Will absolutely be back. Digital menus.

This place has many unique offerings beyond standard sushi, and a variety of vegan options! The veggie party tray is a favourite order! Great place for dine in and takeout.

I have ate a lot of Sushi over the years and too my surprise this place was the best I have had in my life! The presentation was so easy on the eyes, the colours, flavours were so good, no need to dip in soy sauce as the flavours explode in your mouth. Do yourself a favour and visit this place!

I always fondly anticipate my next visit to YuaBistro. Sushi is top tier, better than most I've ever had. Still reasonably priced for its exceptional quality. Truly a bistro in their contemporary approach to traditional maki. Easily the best Bento in the city-you will not regret it, $25 well spent. Truly kind and accommodating staff, with nice modern decor and seating. If you have a chance to sit at the small kitchen bar, the Chefs are friendly and go out of their way to strike up a quick convo even when they are busy. Last time I was in they played multiple Katy Perry songs which also added to the good vibe. But not too loud like some other places. Thanks to everybody at YuaBistro for making exceptional food and for being so nice.

A must visit lunch place in Victoria! I always order oju box lunch set. Oju is tiered lacquer boxes and all the foods are nicely presented in there. I enjoy the variety though some items are not as consistent.

The best Japanese food in victoria hands down! Great flavours and presentation. Love the decor and the staff were great! Can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing experience! The server was so knowledgeable of the food and they made a custom roll for our child. Highly recommend! Not to mention the food was OUTSTANDING

The service is excellent. The food is below average. Also you have to be careful because if you order a lunch size portion of something they will bring you a dinner size and charge the dinner price. Very sneaky. Rice quality is not that great. Salmon sushi tastes fishy and not fresh. The place is clean and the servers are very nice. So if you want excellent service and terrible food this is the place for you.

Great atmosphere with an awesome service. Sashimi and sushi were fresh and their best part was boxed sushi. Highly recommended.

Best Japanese restaurant in town!
I cannot put it into words when it comes to describing the food here! All I can say is that the fish/sushi melts in your mouth!
Customer service has always been and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.

Recommended by a friend as their favorite lunch place with the best miso they'd ever had. YuaBistro lived up to this and more. I went for their perfect occasion menu and ordered almost the whole menu to share with 4 family style. It was perfect. We were blown away by each individual piece; photogenic plating and wonderful flavor. I highly recommend the Oshi and Hosomaki plates. They melt in your mouth. The server was kind, and the hot green tea was flowing. I will happily return:)

Been here a handful of times and each time has been fantastic! The food, service, menu, atmosphere, and experience have been amazing and offers a unique experience in a city with no shortage of top-notch sushi joints.

Cute place, with a character, presentation is great, delicious food, friendly staff. Small portions, every time I go, I have to plan to eat at home after it’s just not sufficient food to get me full and those are the ~30$ bento boxes. Can’t stop thinking about the presentation but pretty boxed don’t fill me up, additionally I find it to be very pricy for the quantity, anyway McD’s is not to far, you just got to plan it

I ordered lots of things last time. My favorite dishes are the salmon oshi sushi and taco washabi. I think the salmone oshi is the best oshi sushi I have ever had in Victoria. Also the manager and servers are very kind and friendly. I have been to many Japanese restaurants but i believe this restaurant is the best. I am planning on visiting it next week again. I can’t wait!

Hands down the best sushi I have ever had! All the dishes were delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. I got the beef tenderloin oju box and it had a great assortment of food. It was so tasty, I highly recommend this restaurant! A must try in Victoria.
