The ingredients are fresh and the taste is pure. I really like this restaurant. The spicy beef is a must-try. I must order it every time!

The service attitude is so bad. When I ordered dinner, there was no one there. When I sat there to order food, I was told that I need to make a reservation. The counter girl was extremely arrogant and pretended to be the boss. As expected of a domestic brand, she is so cool

Excellent authentic Szechuan food but not too spicy, kind staffs, good experience, highly recommend.

I highly recommend Yuanji Chuan Chuan Xiang Hotpot Restaurant. The food is fresh and flavorful with an impressive variety of ingredients. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is cozy. It's a great value for the quality and quantity of food provided.

My favourite skewer hot pot restaurant. My wife and I try to come here as often as we can. Great service and amazing food!

We were recently there to use their BOGO (Buy One Get One) promotion. The way it works is when you buy ingredients on your first visit, you will have a credit for that amount to use on your next visit.

On our second visit, we had $50 of credit to use. When it was time to settle our bill, the waitress showed us that our bill was $40. She also brought a second bill without the credit applied totaling $90, and said "you should tip on this amount" while gesturing to the $90.1. This is not a BOGO promotion if I am having to pay a tip for the ingredients I was supposed to receive for free.

2. Any business that feels like they need to PRESSURE their customers to receive a better tip, is not a business I want to visit. If you provide better service, you will receive a better tip. But frankly, the service was poor.

A fun place for family hotpot, with lots of fresh meat, fish and vegetable options and a $0.99 skewer system where you can customize your items exactly to your mood. Very spacious and clean, with friendly attentive service. We were able to get a half meat and half vegetarian pot to cater to our family’s needs. Ended up being around $25/person for a full grown adult male to have a full stomach.

First time trying this restaurant. The food was tasty enough. Price was okay, keep in mind dining out prices have gone up 40-100% thanks to reckless irresponsible fiscal and monetary government policies.

Food was on point with great service. This was my first time being there and they did not disappoint. I shall surely visit them again.

First time trying hot pot. Some of the foods we experimented with were ok, but the service made it 5-star. Very helpful and extremely attentive. Would definitely go back.

Not your typical Northern/Southern Chinese style hot pot. It's a Sichuan-style hot pot where you would have all the skewer of meat boiled in the pot. It is also spicier than the typical hot pot so for people who don't like spices. And even for people who can tolerate spices, it might not be suitable either because the soup comes with a tingly/numbing sensation. So this definitely would not be a good option for your company dinner ideas.

For me though, I was so surprised to see Yuan's has a store in Vancouver. I invited my friends from Sichuan province for a taste and most of them approved the authenticity of the hot pot. However, it does not feel the same as in China this is almost like street food, easily accessible on the streets. People would gather around, chat, eat, enjoy the meals over a couple of bottles of beer. Yuan's in Vancouver feels much higher end and it shows on the price.

I loved it but would not come often.

The service is good also fast and kind. One of thing I really like is that when I come for the first time, they respond in English, not Chinese. The price is reasonable price and taste is the best.

This is the first time I visited this restaurant. The taste are generally poor the service are poor, especially the bad attitude of the waitress.

Portion is very small for the price. Sauce is ok. Servers are friendly but too busy to attend the table. It’s fun to try but I don’t see a reason to visit again. Not special or worth the value to me.

This restaurant is one of my favorite Chinese hotpot in Vancouver. The ingredients are good, fresh, well marinated. The fried popcorn chicken is my favorite appetizers. Mhala spicy soup is tasty. The dipping sauce are variety for mixed and match by yourself style.

We stopped in here yesterday with our Chinese Exchange Student to experience authentic Chinese Hot Pot. It was AMAZING! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was GREAT!

We will definitely.be back again!

The food is great, customer service is beyond and above expectations (I work in retail, so I have slightly higher standard when it comes to customer services) I enjoyed my time at this hotpot place. I would visit it again for sure

I’m not a big fan with hot pot, but this restaurant amazed me, I visited again after a day. Soup is super rich! Most of all, price is super good, supersized that Vancouver has such good price restaurant as this high quality restaurant.

Wow! What great service we received here. Food is good, nothing amazing but reasonably priced and good.

My favourite place for hotpot skewers! Comfortable seating, and even though they charge for sauces but you get unlimited green onions and fresh red chilies and cilantro! I love their black pepper and five flavour beef skewers, and don't forget order brown sugar sticky cake. Service very good too, if you order too mcuh they will remind you to cancel some items, quite thoughtful.only regret is only one location, wish they could open one in burnaby or fraser valley area.

We went there on their 24th Anniversary. The staff there was absolutely fantastic to us. From the moment we stepped into the door the staff were there to anticipate our needs before we realised we needed them. Upon being seated we were served tea and presented with an iPad along with detailed instructions on how to order with it. The waiter made some suggestions and advised us to place our soup and sauce order first so it could all be delivered to the table fast and the soup could start to heat up.

As soon as we finished ordering the soup another waiter came by and placed the hotpot on the table. He then demonstrated and stated to us that single use soup mix for the spicy soup was being opened and added. This may seem strange to someone who is unfamiliar with Chinese restaurant traditions and customs, but it serves a purpose. This is to show the customer that you are getting fresh food and your soup is not being reused from a previous customer.

No sooner had our soup been mixed than another waiter approached us with our sauce. He had all the veggies and herbs pre-diced in a bowl for each visitor and then again demonstrated that he was opening a single use can of sesame oil to add to the sauce for each of us. Again this is to show that past customers' unused sauces are not being given to you. Each waiter was friendly, professional, and polite, with smiles and care.

We had ordered some liquor, specifically a blueberry soju they had on their menu. The main waiter, who was also the manager, immediately came to ask what temperature we would like our soju served at and had the bottle icing in a carafe within one minute of our ordering. He also brought us aprons to keep our clothes safe from errant splashes of oil and soup.

By this time we were done ordering. We'd ordered a variety of meats, tofu/bean curd, mushrooms, and vegetables. The vegetable platter turned out bigger than expected, and so we had ordered too much vegetables since we had ordered more on top of the platter. The waitress (we had a total of 5 servers tending to our every need as soon as we lifted a finger) recognised that the amount of veggies was unbalanced and recommended that she exchange some with meat. We agreed as it was obvious we'd underestimated the quantity of vegetables. We were not charged extra for our own mistake, even though any restaurant would have the right to do so.

The entire order had arrived run within 5 minutes of ordering, and we started cooking our skewers. Everything was fantastic and we had no complaints about any food of anything. The spiced beef was excellent, the chicken skin was decadent, and duck gizzard was to die for, and the beef tongue was out of this world. The tofus were perfect and the mushrooms and veggies were fresh and delicious. Throughout our meal the waiters were there offering advice and tips, checking on us, bringing things we needed, and just generally being happy and pleasant.

After we were done the manager came to talk to us, asked how we liked things and asked if they could improve in any way. Then as we were packing up our waitress came and gave us 2 coupons for 24 free skewers each at our next visit. All in all it was a fantastic experience. Will definitely be back!

The skewers were very affordable but i still prefer the sharing size. The servers were nice, they provided soy sauce because it was not part of the $2.45 sauces per person charge. There was not much choices for sauces, which is odd for a hotpot place.
Their chopsticks can really poke you in the eye so best to not sit too close to each other.

Good food and friendly service. I'm Cantonese so I'm not too familiar with Szechuan hot pot, but the waitress was nice enough to explain everything to me.

The service here mostly are good I guess, but one lady ruined the experience for us. The lady who was at the entrance had very bad attitude. She glared at us and rolled her eyes at us just because we requested window seat. She said we would have to wait, and when we said we don’t mind if we need to wait, we were shocked at her attitude. She rolled her eyes, sighed and said she doesn’t have time to help us. When other staff came up and asked if we’ve been helped yet, she snapped and said “they want the windows and I don’t have the time to clean it for them”. As another server led us to our table, she glared at us. We ordered some delicious juice which she came with a jug with no cups. Ignored us and walked away when we called out about it. Another server helped us get the cups afterwards.
They give you a small sesame oil can, and charge you $2.40 for the sauce, which I find a little odd.

Outside of the service of that lady, the food is quite good. Fresh ingredients. The server that helped us afterwards was quite friendly and helpful. He was initiative asking if we needed anything and added soup without us needing to ask. We’re going to give this place another chance. I hope we will have a better experience the next time around.

All I taste was oil, it’s not even tasty.the spicy soup taste like nothing. The non spicy is just white pepper and water.
Idk how the reviews are all 5 stars and 4 stars.

Different kind of hot pot. They specialize in marinated skewers which you cook in your hot pot broth. The service was really good. The manager sat us down and gave us a breakdown of their most popular dishes, how to order, cooking tips and dipping sauce preparation. He spent that extra effort and time to make sure we started off right. He also had one of the servers make the dipping sauce for us. They were very helpful and warned us about the hot peppers she put in the sauce. We had a very good experience. When we left there was quite a long line up.

Sooo good! It totally satisfied my hot pot cravings! They have a good selection of meats and veggies and their dipping sauce is really good too! Although I didn't understand why they charged for the dipping sauce and the sesame seed oil refill, it wasn't too costly and honestly I didn't need any refills. Their hot soup is sooo good and addictive!
