It was an extremely disappointing meal and cost more than 1,000 dollars to have lunch in a private room. The dim sum dishes were all served cold, and all the dishes were served were chicken skin, and the wait took a long time. Guests who came to the private room at noon on Sunday could not get hot porridge, which was a huge disappointment for a hearty lunch. Private rooms are not recommended.

Food used to be a little bit better here. Some dishes were not good anymore. Services was busy but still manageable, staff were friendly.

The pan fried prawn and chives patties were delicious, as well as the fried dough for dessert. Shumai here is no longer my fave (I miss shumai with truffle, I wish they would bring it back!)

Parking is usually hard to find if you come at peak time, it’s often a game of who can spot a car leaving faster.

We had a reservation for 6 people at 1PM, however, we waited for 50 minutes to sit down! If the reservation is not the time when we can get our table, then why people need to make reservations? !

Good place to have a large dinner. We had the set dinner menu after a round of golf for 16. Great authentic Chinese food for decent price. Nominal cork charges as well.

The taste of the food is ok, but there is a problem with the pricing. The takeaway pigeon is 36.8, and the dine-in is only 28. Even so, the cashier has the nerve to ask for tips directly. Yes, it is unreasonable and rude to ask for tips directly from the pickup customers.

The food was above average for dim sum but nothing exceptional. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.
08 August 2023 4:34
They have the worst service I ever experienced. We waited over 1 hours when the hostess (Brenna) told us the wait only 10 minutes. We checked in with her every 15 mins but we got the same answers 1 (10 more mins you will be seated). I bought my business elsewhere after over an hours wait.

Typical dim sum place but the food is good and consistent. Prices reasonable too. Some unique dishes as well, like the caramel honeycomb and takoyaki style roll.

The Yue restaurant Chinese name is
called 鲍悦軒酒楼.

I have been to this Resturant before, recently under new management. With new chef, there is always a line here even it’s Tuesday after 215pm. Lots of multi-generational Chinese family eating here in any restaurant in Richmond. This place is quite small but it has banquet rooms if you want. Service is good and attentive. I will say this is one of the top five dimsum place in Richmond. Ran into friends here and we asked for a larger table last minute and they accommodate us quickly with no issues. Too many of my favorites to name, I say their chicken feet flavor is distinctively unique, salt and pepper yellow fish is light not too oily. Some other fusion dimsum which inspire me to come back for more every time.
Check out my pictures to see if you will agree. Price is fair not cheap and quality is good w clean table clothes. I am always looking for things to so that I can come back for more. In Richmond, there are just so many choice w so little time. Let me know if you agree.

Pretty nice higher-end Chinese restaurant in Richmond. Foods are tasty and good choices in the menu.
10 January 2023 17:09
I felt lucky that I made the reservation and went on a great dining experience.
All the food is so authentic which made my homesick a lot. Great food!

We made an reservation and arrived there in time. However, we had to.wait for another hopeless 30 min. We dont speak cantonese and they just invited those guys speaking Cantonese first even they arrived later than us. Very disappointed experience

Came here with a large group last week for my dad's birthday dinner. The food was excellent and very unique. The real star though was the customer service - the manager went out of his way to make sure we had a good dining experience including offering us free dessert even though we had a birthday cake. Would definitely come again!

We used to order here for take out every week but I don’t think we will come anymore! We order $104 and mention on the phone we don’t need bag as we will bring our own bag. When I arrived I paid for the bill and asked to get some chilli oil from the cashier and she said we can’t give it to you because we gave you discount for ordering take out!? !? !? !? ! What? The discount was offer by the restaurant themselves and we can’t even get some chilli oil for our food? ! Very bizarre @@ after I left I was looking at my detail receipt and realized they charged me bag fee of $0.70…. Which I didn’t get any bag from them! The front receptionist told me don’t get mad at them since she doesn’t feel good working with these cheap people LOL what a shame! You lose a good customer bye bye I tip you guys well even I do take out but I don’t deserve a chilli oil?

This is a unique Chinese restaurant. I have eaten authentic Chinese food. The Chinese food in this restaurant is really delicious. Its name is Luk Yue restaurant. The location of the store is 123 N Garfield Ave, Monterey Park, CA 91754-1756.

Thought the food quality good and presentation excellent. But walkway to private rooms looked dingy and just didn't feel extremely well kept. So that's down a star for me.

The food comes out extremely slowly. We were sat at 10: 30am when they first opened too. We had to cancel one of our dishes cuz it took more than 35 mins and we were done waiting.

We had 4 dishes, 2 recommended: lotus wrap sticky rice is the BEST I’ve ever had, it’s the most flavorful and juicy and meaty. Menu says it’s a new item. Same with fried savory dumpling 咸水角,they do it so much better than other famous dim sums in the area.

2 not recommended: red crispy rice roll… the skin came out not hot enough and the filling too chewy. The taro paste thing - no flavor at all and very dry. It looked nice but didn’t taste nice.

One of if not the best restaurant for yumcha in Richmond. Baked cha siew bao is the best that I have had to date. The durian mochi and deep fried version are both solid. Along with The Deluxe, they serve the tastiest beef ball. Siumai and most other traditional items are above average. Service is top notch
16 February 2022 19:50
Very good tasting dim sum, and excellent service. The deep fried taro scallop curry pork dumpling was crunchy and full of flavor, the shrimp and chive dumpling was equally flavorful. The deep fried pork dumpling was a crunchy soft chewy outer layer filled with tasty pork, and the prawn rice rolls had a generous amount of large prawns.
17 January 2022 13:55
Very poor customer service and avoid! The reception and manager only find excuses for this mis order and mistake!
25 July 2021 12:40
Because of Covid, this restaurant has created some really generous dinner package deal. It can be on a pricier side, but the quality is truly worth it! Friendly service - especially the manager Marco and his team of staff. I especially love their curry beef brisket and their dim sum collections.
31 March 2021 19:00
I went for dinner there and ordered the set dinner + a lobster steam rice. Most of the dishes are average, bit too salty. Overall okay. I gave them 2 stars is because of the mushy lobster steam rice, the rice is almost like porridge (very mushy) and the service is not friendly I say. There is a waitress there is totally poker/cold face. While she changed the plates, she just stood there, wait for us to hand her the plates. This place used to be very good, seems like the service and food are going down.
13 March 2021 21:41
What a great place! The people are friendly, the restaurant clean and socially distancing is in place! The best part of it all is the food. It’s not typical boring dim sum but with its own flare! The dinner here is pure quality! One of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Their sweet and sour pork I claim is the best in town.

Food and service are good.
However on the night I went, there seemed to be a group of 4 tables - guys, ladies, and 2 young people each of 6 people, can't comment on whether they are friends or families but don't think they live together or immediate household
07 February 2021 22:46
Great value specials at the moment. Really good food for the value. One of the best dinner options in Richmond for good high quality Chinese cuisine
22 January 2021 2:14
First time there but we had quite a big selection off the menu. Great cuttlefish fish, pea tips are definitely recommended, and the squid ink buns were a great way to end off the meal.
04 February 2020 14:56
The layout of the restaurant is better than the former one, except the kitchen entrance is too close to the tables which bad smell keep coming out from there. They need to put a partition there.
05 January 2020 22:44
Food okay but not the best service. Servers looked annoyed and angry all night, never once smiled. Seems like they hated their job and were rude when we needed something.
05 January 2020 4:56
Came here specifically for the red rice shrimp roll 红米肠粉. Unfortunately, it's shrimp paste and not shrimp bits, but it was still crunchy outside soft inside. Not peanut sauce, but something similar. The choy sum vegetable in garlic was very good! The decor is top-notch.

One of the best Chinese restaurant in Richmond. Quality food with great service. Price are higher compared to other restaurants but more luxurious ambience.
14 December 2019 17:04
To put simply:
- good food quality though a bit light to me,
- moderate to high price,
- fair service for a dim sum restaurant, and
- good ambient environment.
- hard to find parking, park across the street in the other lot (at your own risk) or paid street parking
- minor details like keep a pot of water hot over a small candle for your tea is a cherry on top

Dishes I liked:
- Pea tips with fish puff (豆苗浸鱼腐), pea tip cooked just to perfection paired with fish puff with strong umami taste and soup base with light saltier umami taste. Portion size is on the smaller size for its price.

- Shrimp Dumpling (虾饺), you came here for this probably and it’s good. It’s just tab bit bland to me because a little bit salt would be able to elevate shrimps umami taste even more, especially when it’s paired with dumpling skin on the thicker side that lacks flavours. Try and decide on your own

- Deep fried egg plant with shrimp paste (天妇罗煎酿茄子), crispy and thin coating, super soft egg plant and lightly flavoured shrimp paste paired with sweet and sour sauce. It’s well cooked but lacks strong flavour unless you dip the entire dish in the sauce.

We also got steamed beef rice roll, steamed two kinds of preserved sausage with BBQ sauce. They are all okay compared to other top dim sum places in Richmond. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Overall a 4/5 for me.

We wanted to try another Dim Sum place in Richmond, as Kirin and Fisherman Terrace just wasn’t that great the few times we visited.

Here were the comments from the group:

- The BBQ bun is better than Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong!
- the chicken rice dumpling was amazing!
- finally: I don’t have any more reasons to visit Hong Kong anymore.

Nice Chinese food. It has been relocated around five years. Didn't lose the quality after moving to this location. It is one of my favourite Chinese restaurant. Dimsum is fair price when you check out before 10 to 11AM.
16 October 2019 10:14
One of my go to place for dim sum! Lots of selections and great place for dinner. Ask about their private room if you are hosting a dinner!
28 August 2019 2:27
Always recommend their steamed rice! Their signature steamed rice is one of their best things on their menu.
23 August 2019 14:51
Great food. Fairly innovative compared to other traditional Chinese restaurants. On the expensive side.
08 August 2019 3:17
Made a reservation at 12: 30pm today just to be told that reservation do not work the way I thought. Apparently their definition of a reservation is you still have to wait in line until there's an empty table, the reservation is only good for not getting you kicked out when they are busy. We finally got seated at 12: 50.
Food is a hit or miss. Very good truffle shrimp and scallop wrap, chicken rice roll, and durian tart. Crispy shrimp with tofu skin was way too salty and tastes like they were marinated for more than a day. Dishes are on the expensive side compare to other dimsum places.
