Came in from out of town with a nail *emergency* and April made miracles happen. Not only do I love my nails but I had such a nice time getting them done. April was extremely friendly, warm, and had immaculate attention to detail. 10/10 recommend.

The reference pictures I gave them may not be 100% identical, cause they may not have the same materials, but they can give you appropriate suggestions based on the existing materials and aesthetics through full communication and discussion.

I’d like to thanks my manicurist April, when I talked to her about my idea, she could receive what I wanted right away.

I'm currently visiting Vancouver and urgently needed a pedicure - since this salon was close to my location and also had above-average reviews, I made an appointment online today for 1: 30 p.m!
I was not disappointed - the work was done perfectly in detail without haste or stress - the time estimated for this package was even significantly exceeded - the hotstone massage was a pleasant highlight! Thanks see you next time!

I got one of the best gel manicures ever here, it lasted over 3 weeks without chipping and they were very detailed in their work. Highly recommend.

I had the ombre set and I really love it! I'd love for them to have more colors to do ombre, they only had pink to white but still worth it. Really efficient and professional. I recommend this place.

I went to yugen in December 2021 and a girl (I believer her name was Anne) did my nails! They were beautifully done and all the staff were so friendly. The nails were shilac and lasted months. It is the most memorable nail experience i have because they lasted so long and the colours were so lovely, when I look back at old photos I always notice my nails right away and think about my visit to Vancouver and that day <3

Not sure if they were just having a bad day but everyone seemed tense and angry, they kept snapping at me and made me so nervous. They agreed to do what I wanted, but the end result looked nothing like the picture and honestly looked pretty bad. I was too nervous to say so, but I would have been much happier with just one simple color if that design was too hard. The whole experience kind of put me off salons in general.

Got my nails done a few days back with Trinny. Full set of acrylics. 10/10, great work, clean welcoming environment, reasonable pricing. This is definitely my new nail girl. No complaints, and have gotten so many compliments on my nails since.
Highly recommend.
The owner Lee is also an extremely nice guy.

I recently visited Yugen Nail Spa for a regular pedicure and overall had a good experience. The staff were friendly and professional, and the price was reasonable for the service provided.

However, I have to give them four out of five stars because I was hoping for my feet to feel a little softer after the pedicure. While my nails looked great, my feet didn't feel quite as smooth as I had hoped.

Despite this, I would still recommend Yugen Nail Spa to others, especially if you're looking for a great nail salon that offers quality service at a reasonable price. Just keep in mind that if you're looking for an ultra-soft finish on your feet, you may want to consider a different salon or request additional softening treatments during your pedicure.

I called in as I had time to spare before getting a flight to the UK, so no appointment. I’ve never had a pedicure before, my feet were in great need of TLC as I’d been hiking for a month. Wow, the pedicure was amazing! Such luxury and care, my feet were transformed! I’m now a total convert to pedicures, I only hope I can find somewhere as good as Yugen in the UK. Thank you!

Lovely first experience at this family run business. Very happy with my gel mani/pedi and my friend throughly enjoyed the massage with his deluxe pedi. Will definitely return again.

I did not have a good experience with them. I got the nails extension done and after a week went there to get them removed. The nail stylist didnt even remove them properly and I have them on my both hands.
Just not worth it!

Such nice staff. I’ve had some brutal mail experiences and after going to YŪGEN I will be a loyal customer. They listen to you and do what you ask for and tell you their pricing before they start. I finally look forward to having my nails done instead of worrying about how sore they’re going to be after

My experience at YŪGEN nail spa was amazing! Rosie, Tia, and April were amazing. I’ve never had such pretty nails before! You must stop by if you need your nails done, you won’t regret it! Absolutely amazing!

I came here as a tourist from Colorado and I have to say this place is a total JEM! I would move here just to be close to April and Anna, who gave me the absolute best mani/pedi I have ever had. It was a last minute appointment, but they were able to squeeze me in. They worked together, but took their time. They were also so patient and helpful when I couldn’t decide what color to go with. They also checked in with me several times to make sure the shape was to my liking and perfect before they started painting. I noticed all of the technicians did that with their customers, so even if you don’t get April or Ana, you’re literally in great hands.
They were also very sweet and gave me Vietnamese coffee, which was fantastic! The shop is extremely clean and they even play The Office, which was an unexpected plus! At the end I asked if they had time to squeeze in a quick eyebrow wax and they did:)
One month later, my polish was nearly intact. Honestly, if it hadn’t been for my nail growth, they would have looked perfect! I’m so sad it was my only time coming here. I would travel to Vancouver, BC once a month if it meant I could visit this salon every time! Try this lovely shop with any of they lovely technicians! You will not be disappointed!

Went to get the deluxe pedicure with my husband. Service was wonderful from both techs. Will definitely go back. My gel nails are still in perfect condition 2 weeks later!

Was my first visit to Yūgen, very happy with the service. I botched my online booking in several ways: I forgot to add the gel option and I booked the wrong day. The owner is very personable, responds quickly and professionally to emails, and was able to help me sort out booking a deluxe Mani Pedi for my friend and myself. We were looking for a reasonable option that also included a massage component and found Yūgen to have good prices and most importantly good reviews. We were not disappointed and will definitely be back. I don't take great care of my nails and they cleaned them up and made them look great. As of Dec 2021, they are offering 20% off on birthdays and they have a points system so frequent users can save a few bucks.

I have been coming to Yugen Nail Spa since they have opened. They are genuine and kind people who know what they are doing! Everyone is always so friendly, funny and professional. I am always happy whenever I come here.:)

Lovely family-style atmosphere. They are honest and will not try to sell you a more expensive service. They helped me choose what manicure would best match my needs. They truly want to provide customer satisfaction and then some. I now have my "Christmas" nails.

Wonderful experience at my neighbourhood's new nail Salon run by husband and wife team, Tommy and Lee. This place is very professional and they also provide a point system which is great for discounts and savings (20% off on your birthday which is fantastic). I had a gel manicure with gel removal and my technician was April. April was polite, professional and took her time and care for a high quality service with excellent results. My nails are sadly short and brittle for my job, but after April had her way with them they feel great. I'm looking forward to seeing how they fair over the next 2-3 weeks. Hoping Yugen Nail Spa will be my new go to spot for all things nail spa.

I've visited the salon twice for a basic pedicure with regular polish and have been very happy each time. It's not a luxury spa but if you want a basic pedicure to keep your feet looked after, I highly recommend this salon. The prices are very reasonable so you can afford to go on a regular basis and it's very easy to book appointments.

I came here 2 months ago with my broken, thin, and fragile nails. They gave me the best service and saved my nails. I appreciate that they give me helpful advice and service instead of taking advantage of me. Ann was so patient and friendly with my nails. All the staff are so lovely. Highly recommend this place.

Came for a pedicure with my 2 girlfriends for a birthday and can’t say more good things! Super friendly staff, the owner came and said hello as well and made sure we had water and our chairs were on. My pedicure was well done, the colour choice was great and I felt very relaxed and pampered. Love that they have a happy hour too! So cute.

The entire team was so welcoming and wonderful. We had Rosie, Ann, and April for our three gel pedicures, and they all did such a great job! We booked an appointment and they got all three of us in at the same time, and we’re ready for us as soon as we arrived. We will definitely be coming back for all of our mani and pedi’s!

A gem in downtown Vancouver. I love that it is a family run business. They have "Happy Hour" here which is something I haven't seen in any salon before. Overall clean place and a great experience. Highly recommend so check them out!

Brought my daughter (10) and son (7) here we all had some pampering. They were really nice and made us feel welcome. Ok the kids might be a little young for this but we really had fun talking and getting pampered. Highly recommend taking some time out of your day for a visit to this family run business.

Excellent salon. Everything was super clean and they are a sweet family run business. Amy was great, really thorough and gentle. Cool to see that you can collect points here too - didn't need that as an incentive to come back but it's a nice added touch!

The ladies here are so sweet and kind. They offered us water and asked us what we wanted to watch during our appt. They truly make you feel comfortable. My shellac looks great and the price was right. They also gave me and my friend a full sized hand lotion for free! Will definitely return

I walk by this place all the time and needed my feet done eventually. I was greeted at the front desk and the girls were friendly. I really enjoyed the feet massage with cream mask. Going to come back for my hands soon.

Wonderful service! My girlfriend and I went in for manicures and pedicures and were extremely happy with our results. We were well taken care of and the salon has excellent safety precautions.

I wanted to love this place due to the high ratings and very friendly owner, however, the service I received deserves one star.

I came in knowing exactly what design I wanted, the owners wife was insistant on telling me to do something else because the design I wanted was ugly. As she was doing my nails, I told her how I wanted them shaped, she became extremely condescending and rude - she even told me that I don’t know the process and that she has 25 years of experience and she knows what she is doing. I asked her if she wanted to see a picture of the shape and she refused, the shape she ended up doing was not the same. At this point I did not feel comfortable telling her anything else and just sat through the appointment. I am shocked that any of the staff at this place think this is an acceptable way to treat a paying customer, as no one said anything.

I paid 90+ for my nails, which chipped the next day. I decided to not go back to get them fixed to avoid going back.

Go to this nail salon if you want to be talked down on and received bad Service.

It was time for me to find a new nail salon. I saw this place online, read the reviews and wanted to try them out. The staff is friendly and made me feel welcomed right away. More importantly, they did fantastic work on my hands and feet! Definitely recommend. I have found my new go to nail salon.

I don’t typically write a lot of reviews, but I really want people to know this. I have never had such a memorable experience at a nail salon in my entire life - I got home that night and I had to tell my partner how heart-warming it was. The couple that own and operate the salon are so genuine and kind. They are so hard working - they even stayed open late just to accommodate my schedule. They have an amazing “points-system” that will earn you discounts on your services and on your birthday. And the woman did a beautiful job of my acrylic nails, but most importantly she kept checking to make sure she was doing it how I liked, and only charged a small up-charge for my unique request. I have never had someone care so much that it was exactly what I wanted. With my job, it can be difficult if my nails are too long, so she even said “go to work, if they’re too long, come back and I will shorten them for you no problem”. These guys offer truly incredible customer service and are incredibly kind people - I highly recommend you see for yourself.
