Yummy Donair and Kebab

Got a beef platter combo with fries and coke and man was it delicious! Keep up the good work Yummy, you are one of the best fast food places in Metro Vancouver.

Not only is the food delicious, but it’s a great bang for your buck. The prices are good for the quantity and the meat is well cooked with flavor.

I eat here a couple of times a month when I’m heading back towards the ferry. It is so good people are super nice pricing is reasonable.

I had an awful experience at this restaurant. The staff's behavior was unacceptable – they treated me poorly, and the sandwich they served seemed fit for animals. They ignored my order, and when I pointed out the mistake, instead of apologizing, they chose to mock me. A truly disappointing and disrespectful encounter. No one who has self respect will ever go there again.

If you are Turkish, Persion, or you have ever eaten a real Döner in your life, just do not eat from here. It is not right to call the thing they served as Döner. Probably I will never eat Döner in Canada ever again. Go Türkiye to eat a real Döner.

The food was good, but customer service is way bad. The cashier did not even listen to me while I was ordering, and I had to pay for my combo separately after my food.

I don’t recommend the place, bad food zero Costomer service, they don’t know how to cook the chicken they gave me half cooked chicken, it can be very dangerous any how i didn’t eat my order, I told staff they seems like they don’t care, and health BC is sleeping they should shut down the place like this.

The quality of their food was excellent and their attitude was very good. I ate a doner that tasted very good

It’s for couple time that when I order online and give my own instructions they do whatever they want. For couple times I ordered chicken donair ask for all sauce on that even they wrote themselves on the donair bag but again there is NO sauce on that. Today was the 4rd time!

Myself and my husband went here and ordered 2 lamb donairs. They went ahead and made 2 donairs while we were standing there and never asked anything about toppings or sauces. So, I have spend $30 for 2 donairs with toppings on it I cannot stand and loaded with hot sauce which I don't like. When I questioned why no one asked me what i wanted on it, they stated they asked at the beginning when we paid which they did not and then informed me that next time I need to tell them my toppings at the till when I pay. It has been a very long time since I have been so appalled such a lack of customer service. I would give negative stars if I could. I Don not recommended since the people making it can't even speak English.

Come here to expect 20mins+ waiting time, where they will ignore you until you complain to get your food.

I won't even comment on the food, as alot of people have already, seriously avoid go to donair affair or paradise donair this place has fake reviews.

Very good portion of really Yummy food for a reasonable price. The Chicken skewers and the mixed platters are the best. Good choice for late night munchies!

Tasty and healthy foods with good prices and a friendly team and manager, these are thereasons that I love this restaurant.
They cook very delicious Chicken Shawarma, Koobideh Kebab and a fresh Persian bread (Sangak) those are my first choices among the eye catching menu.
I absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Prices guys! - I used to eat here all of the time, but $15+ for a donair is getting a little ridiculous. Your competition are charging less than $9, and it's not about the size or the quality.
I won't be back.

While the staff were great, Kebab was awful, We could not eat the food and I would never go to yummy. It was a waste of money

My go-to place for Donair for years now. Delicious! Lately they’ve cut back on sauce though or else I’d give 5 stars. Bring back the sauce!

Ordered on DoorDash and my food was so good! Really big portion too. The chicken shawarma is amazing and has such a yummy cinnamon/ nutmeg flavour. Very impressed.

The donairs are messy and fall apart easily though so I switch to using cutlery half way through. I love these place.

I’ve knocked a star off as the service can be hit-or-miss depending on who you get. However, overall, prices are reasonable for huge portions and the food is always great.

The food was not good quality. Koobideh kebab was very greasy and chicken kebab was like made frozen chicken. DO NOT EAT HERE!

They use to be really good. But, the last few times have been very bad. The prices have gone up. We ordered 4 things and 2 of them was cold. One was very dry or over cooked. The Greek salad was soggy. When I ordered, I had to repeat my order 3 times. They still didn't get it right. After all that, they over charged me. The charge couldn't returned to my card. Because no one had a manager's override. They have to gave back cash.

It's the worst place in North Vancouver for shawram. Bad and unprofessional service

Found this gem last year, and always stop by when in the area. The donairs are generously made and are delicious!

Good food, not a great customer service. I asked for chicken and they said we don’t have any. When i was waiting for my food to be prepared i saw plenty of chicken and when asked them about it they said you get chicken only if you order online! That’s just weird!

If you don't test Yummy's delicious foods, you will regret.

Portions are big. Tried chicken wrap, koobideh and Jooje, all very well made. I was really surprised by the quality.

This has always been my go to restaurant for donair for their portions, friendly staff, consistently delicious food but the one thing that will always stick with me as far as a restaurant standard was seeing an employee pick up a bag of pita bread and exchange it for another because the latter was fresher. The thought and care in their food doesnt go unnoticed.

Yummy Donair's been our favourite place since they were almost new to the business in 2011.my husband & I have been to many different Persian dining places and NONE are even close to what Yummy Donair has to offer. The food quality, quantity, the client care, store cleanness, staff hygiene in terms of how they deliver the food to you (e.g they never talk over your food while preparing it; I noticed this as I care so much) & hrs flexibility never changed since then.these all speak for how their business was so successful.strongly recommend it if you are a fan of Persian taste. We don't live in that neighbourhood anymore BUT if we think of Persian food we do go to this place; nowhere else.it's worth a very long commute to get the best Kebab.thanks to the owner/ Manger Kioumers and all the kind staff:) Stay Safe:)

Delicious donair, Yummy's the go-to donair place for my friends and I. They nail every donair, whether it's chicken, beef or lamb. Gotta try the kebab sometime soon.

The food is consistent, tasty, and priced fair. The platter seems to offer the best value and the portions are generous.

Open late, i judge a donair restaurant by their hummus and it is phenomenal. Love the mix and match options on their platters. Sooooo good.

Really clean, great food and service. Reasonable prices. This cafe style and takeout restaurant is really impressive how clean the kitchen, washroom and dining area is.

They have good donair but the last two times I ordered a fountain drink they were terrible. They don't seem to check if the fountain syrup is out or not. That's disappointing when you get back and taste only carbonated water.

Quality of food has decreased exponentially, their vegetables are old and stale, their website is poor and doesn't allow for items to be edited and the "special notes" section isn't passed through to the restaurant. Also, their staff has little respect for COVID restrictions and have their masks hanging off their face while talking to customers.

I'm a big fan of their kebab and its so delicious and tasty. From time to time, I must eat it and I feel its like a ritual.

Delicious and generous portions. A supersized platter for takeout had so much meat it stuck to the lid. More meat than rice! Tends to be the opposite at other restaurants. Ended up cooking more rice at home and extended a $15 platter to 3 meals.

Historically this has been a great place to eat.
However, the portion size has shrunk, don't trust the pictures of large portions on these reviews.
The wraps are substantially smaller, even when you "super size them" the platters as well, the containers used to hardly close, now there is extra space. Be aware the value sentiment is shrinking here! This is unfortunate because it's been so great and consistent over the years.
I'm dropping the review to two stars for this reason, normally I would have given this 4 stars.
Some of my friends have had bad experience here with getting sick, I haven't as of yet.

I ordered a wrap today, tasted bad, smelled bad, I ate it because I was so hungry and had no other option otherwise, since then started having a stomachache, still struggling to sleep: - (, will never ever go back there again, staff were friendly.

First time I went there I had Lamb Donair which was really good and the cashier was really patient and kind but I went there again with a friend and I ordered chicken Donair and fries box, I didn't like the chicken and the fries weren't that good. The prices are really good though. I think it's worth giving a try but not the chicken.

The Koobideh and Chicken with bread was "YUMMY". The fresh basil was a nice touch and the side onion was also fresh. The only fault I would see is to increase the amount of basil as it is not intended for a garnish but rather an ingredient of the meal, just like the onion which there was plenty of.
The restaurant itself was clean and the staff were courteous.
This is not a full service - sit down restaurant (although there are a couple of tables with some bar stools one can dine in, but it is more like a quick grab-and-go. The menu itself had great variety which I liked.
For the calibre of business they're in and its aimed purpose. I'd have to say. Well done!

The real problem with this place is the street parking. I generally park on the other side of the road in the city park's parking lot.

I really like this place. I come here when I can and I can truthfully say, I can eat anything on their menu. Everything is so good and "yummy". I especially love the lamb platter. I think the hummus and tabouleh are the weak part of Yummy but it is okay. The Greek salad is better.

It seems as if it is always busy whenever I'm there. There are a lot of Persian people who eat here so I am assuming it is fairly authentic and the prices are cheap for what you get.

Worst customer service ever. They made me wait for a food that I ordered. Even though I can see that the order is ready and on top of that there was no customers at all. First 5 mins I didn’t say anything thinking properly he is heating the donair. After 15 mins i still see the donair in the grill. Went up to him asking what is going on with my order, he seems to act surprised about my order. I pointed it out that I saw him placing the donair inside grill machine. He Made the donair in 2 mins but never gave me the donair and placed it in the grill machine for for 15 mins made me wait in hunger. Within the 15 mins he was laughing having fun talking over the phone basically doing nothing. When questions about my order he grabbed it and played dumb and gave me a donair which was cold and burned. (clearly I could see he did not want to serve the food to me or purposely wanted me to wait for the food for no reason. By this time I was just frustrated. Its disrespectful and to me felt pretty personal as I was just there to grab a donair. In the end walked off with my money back which they didn’t wanted to give me back the same way I paid for as my for appetite it was long gone with such mean behaviour for employees. (cheap mentality employees) never coming back.

Would give 0 Stars if possible.rude employees made me feel very uncomfortable while waiting for my order and also the kitchen and dining area was dirty.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered online through their website, waited over an hour a half, then called and was told they do not have delivery. Which is crazy because I even received a confirmation email.

This is my first time going into this establishment. Overall look and food looked great BUT what was lacking was the customer service. I had 15minutes before my lunch break ended and the cashier bumped the lady at the end of the line in the front! THIS IS NOT EXCEPTABLE!

The lamb and beef was delicious. The customer service was absolutely terrible, otherwise I'd give this place 4 stars.

Food is quite good here and they serve up the best donair around! Service can be a bit slow so I recommend calling ahead to place your order in a rush.

Suggestion for management: MAKE POUN-AIR! It’s a mix between the Canadian classic “poutine” but with a middle-eastern twist. The fries here are already fantastic, all you have to do is provide the option to top the fries with things like the house made garlic sauce, fresh sliced meats, hummus, tabouli etc.

It usually takes a very long time - like 20-30 minutes wait time. I often order ahead, on the phone, for this exact reason. But it tastes good and I have never had a bloated or upset stomach after, so I keep going back when I crave a donair. The wraps are BIG.

I've been coming to Yummys for years. In my opinion I think they have one of the best Donairs in town, I always get the lamb and chicken.
They are in a convenient location with plenty of parking nearby, are priced reasonably, serve a large portion, and have extremely friendly service.
This time I tried ordering the combo which came with french fries, a garlic dipping sauce, and soda. I was impressed with both the french fries and the dipping sauce.
They're currently renovating the inside, which for the most part is making it look nicer. I find the addition of the Fish Tank very tacky and distasteful. Not only is the fish tank ugly, it also adds a weird Ambience to the room and changes the wonderful smell of donairs in the air.

I work close by and everyone from my work get lunch here at least 3 times a week. We love the quality of the food, spacially recently that the owners are onsite fulltime. If you havent tried this place you definitely should!

Was told to come here and glad I did. Loved the donair with lamb. Great price, food and friendly staff. Also great parking. I will be back.
