YuShang Hot Pot 御上火锅

Friend brought me here to try the hot pot. Everyone gets their own individual pot and you get to choose from a few different types of soup base. Portion sizes are good and some items they actually have half orders which is great so you can try more stuff. The servers were very attentive and came to check a few times to see how things were. Food was good, service was good and the prices are very fair compared to other Vancouver hot pot places.

Came here as a larger party of 8. They offered the deal that gets you a free plate of wagyu beef, a free soup pot, and free infused water for the table if spending > $200 total.you put in your order through the tablet, and everyone gets an individualized soup pot which I prefer better than a shared one. I wish I had ordered the spicy soup because when cooking the noodles in it, it came out almost like a stir fried noodle - so tasty. Among the meets, the chicken was the highlight more so than even the Wagyu beef.

This hotpot place truly impressed me with their excellent service and top-notch food quality. The range of delectable soup bases added a delightful twist to the experience. I highly recommend Yushang Hotpot for a memorable dining outing!

Decent food, wonderful service. But the pot that boils the soup is pretty uncomfortable. It's hard to control the power of the fire, and if the light goes out by mistake, I have to call the server and ask them to turn the light back on. It always makes me super nervous.

Excellent! Visited recently, the food are nice and great value, service was good and all the server was so friendly especially the one call Chris, she was so kind and patient to us! Worth for a second try!

One of the best hot-pot experiences I ever had. Compared to Hai Di Lao and Dolar Shop, I would say this is inbetween.

I really enjoyed their tomato-based broth and the 1 meter lamb roll, which you should definetly get because it's more than enough meat.

I must say that my recent visit to the restaurant left much to be desired. The service was lacking, the cleanliness was subpar, and the food failed to impress. It was disheartening to witness the staff's indifference towards our concerns. I would recommend exploring other dining options instead of choosing this establishment.

Food good, service was bad
I still had a few mouthfuls of ice powder left last night, but the waiter took it away from me without even asking? ? ? I asked my friend no less than three or four times to add soup to the pot, but in the end I slapped the bill in my face.
I almost said they would drive people away.

False Mother’s Day promotions. Waitress told us about a 50% off promotion on beef dishes but when we got our bill, they told us they made a “mistake” on the promotion and charged us full price.
At least fix the mistakes or give customers a heads up, and stop deleting legitimate reviews

Very bad attitude and no service at all! There are many waiters, but I have no idea what the waiters are doing! Fitness possible?

Some food has good quality, and staff is generally attentive. However it is not worth the price in terms of quantity, especially when parking is not free as free spots were very limited in number.

Has individual pot, so each person can order their soup base. Decent selection, but missing some items. Sauce station is decent, good sesame sauce, but no cummmin. Salas station ok too. Overall. Good place for hotpot.

Excellent hot pot restaurant! I really like the berry juice. It was carbonated and refreshing. The fish gelatin chicken broth was incredible. I’ve been to many hot pot places but never seen this on the menu before. It had a nice semi thick broth. Most of hot pot items you typically have are here and pretty good but I didn’t see any noodles which kinda surprised me. Overall, good place but a bit pricey

Top quality hot pot in Vancouver. Much better than dolar shop in my opinion. The 50m lamb is great for all meat lovers.

Came here right at 11.30am opening time today Saturday. The free customer parking downstairs are all occupied. That's about 5 spots, which was suspicious as we were there right at opening time. My friend hopped up to check. She asked waitress why all the spots were taken when there were only 1 table (couple). She kindly apologized and said it's all occupied by staff and that we could park 2 streets away and it's free. But I'm wondering why would i park n walk 2 streets away when i supposedly have free customer parking downstairs? We have been here many times but realized from month they have changed their wait staff and now it's been really poor customer service since. They use to have one of the best servers i have come across. Anyways, we ended going elsewhere. Won't be back for a long time until they get their staff sorted.

Great soup base and meat quality. Recommend the zhusun (fungus) with shrimp inside. Too expensive for its portion size.

Good food but the service is questionable especially the manager lady. Given the fact that a curly hair was found in one dish, it took the manager more than 30 mins to come to the table and the manager took away the dish without any apology or explanation. When we tried to talk to her, she said they would give 10% off for us but then only applied 10% off on one of the dishes instead of the entire bill? This manager appeared to be very rude to customers. The food was good, I liked it but the store owner should be aware that they need professional staff to fit in this brand.

I would have loved giving them 5 starts the soup is so good. But the wait for veggies was so long we finished our meat and waited 20 mins and the over head vents was full of dust I am reply grossed out please clean the reseraunt I would love to come back

The greatest hotpot place in Vancouver I've ever been! We had a nice room reserved for 8 people (there is a minimum payment for a large group reserving a room). Variety choices of soup base was very good and ordering from iPad was a great experience as well. The service was absolutely great! We all satisfied with the quality of food and many selection of sauces. Definitely will come back again.

Wow, I love hotpot and I have claimed that no such thing as bad hotpot. I guess I was wrong of having that thought. I’m very surprised by the quality of the food Yu Shang offers. First of all meat products are not very fresh, you can simply tell by the color of the beef. Sadly we order the premium beef slices, it was very disappointed! Crystal noodles and tofu skins are both low quality products, they share an unnatural chewy texture. Not mentioning the tripes, it doesn’t matter how many sec you cook it for, they chew like rubber. Yes the interior looking of the store is pretty and all that, but the food quality is so meh… I get the idea that they want to be an fancy hotpot store and charge premium for dishes. Yu Shang, please ensure you have premium food before charging premium prices! Definitely not recommend for hotpot lovers, it has nothing compare to Dollar Shop! Don’t waste your money!

Really good hotpot. Service was pretty good as well. Go there early or reserve as it can get quite packed. Apps offer kinda sucks but didn't bother me too much

Our favourite hotpot place in Vancouver. Fresh ingredients, great dipping sauce bar, and the service is always top notch. We come here about once a month!

Great service, clean restaurant and fresh ingredients. A little pricey because of individual pots but price you pay for it being in The city rather than richmond

This Chinese hotpot restaurant is very good choice for hotpot in Vancouver. The atmosphere is authentic and classic. The service is warm and nice. The ingredients are good, fresh and well prepared. The dipping sauce are variety that you can mixed and match by yourself. The pot is one by one. The soup is good, tasty especially my favorite Mhala spicy Chinese soup.

This hotpot place is the only store so far that did not make me feel sluggish afterwards. The quality of food here is great. Soup base and the seafood soy sauce differentiates it from the other hotpot places imo. The only thing I didn't like is that they told us to leave when we were halfway done with our food.

Right off the bat, this place is a winner. Great service, a variety of traditional and unusual meats, plus excellent presentation add to the experience. It’s moderately priced but worth the money. We stayed with the more common dishes, not being overly adventurous. The personal spice and sauce station where you put together your own condiments is a neat touch. There’s also a separate self-service station for light appetizers. The peanuts were very addictive. The personal hot pot burners were a nice touch since you can control what goes into your own soup. It gets very busy and you definitely need a reservation. They offer two sittings and timing is tight. If you want to spend more time after dinner, I suggest you book the later sitting.

I’m a regular here. The facility is very clean and the food is high quality. Prices are a little higher but you really get what you pay for!

We are extremely lucky to have this gem of a restaurant in our neighbourhood. We have been there with very different groups of people like family from overseas, foodie friends, colleagues. We consistently have a great experience. The service is super friendly and efficient, the food is delicious, fresh and very nicely presented. Unsurprisingly it's increasingly popular and difficult to get into without a reservation. I highly recommend this restaurant for a variety of occasions. Love them!

Oh man. Individual hot pots for errbody and the broth is sick af. Must get the fish broth. Super healthy, super fresh. I recommend getting half orders of veggies cause they give so much.

This place is awesome! The service is attentive and the food quality is great. Slightly expensive but you get what you pay for. The sauce bar is good, the buy 2 get 1 beer is a nice touch. Overall really impressed with this place.

I wish I can rate this 7 stars instead.not your average Hot Pot restaurant.it's just over the top quality.
1. High quality meats (so surprised to see Wagyu beef from Japan! Wow!) fresh, soft, crisp, veggies and sides.

2. Very flavorful, fresh and not watered down open table bar sauces and fruit selection.

3. Handmade high quality noodles, dumplings and meat balls.the dough was fresh and so soft.just melted in your mouth and packed with juicy meats and succulent flavors.

4. Wide variety of selection of teas, assorted fresh cocktails, craft local beers and big selection of sake.

5. And durian and mango ice cream! (We have to try next time we come by.we were so full!)

6. Attentive and friendly service but giving you enough space so u can have a nice enjoyable meal.and whenever you needed something they were so quick to deliver.one thing I did really enjoy is how they weren't trying to over sell you on anything and gave you enough time to overlook the menu and when you were ready the server double checked your order to confirm everything yet you never feel rushed no matter how fast the service came around for your table.

7. If you never tried hot pot in your life.this is definitely the place you want to try it! I've been to 15 different Chinese hot pot restaurants located in Canada (Toronto, Richmond Hill Ontario, Markham Ontario, Richmond BC, Vancouver and Montreal, QC.) and this is by far the best one!

8. I'm not discussing pricing because u really get what u pay for.and the bill was definitely worth the quality of the food.we've spent more at other restaurants in the past and weren't this impressed.we were still talking about how good the food and the service was till we got home.

9. The restaurant was full but they were able to get us a nice table seating in less than 5 mins of waiting.

I really hope this restaurant never changes and continues to deliver what we experienced this evening. (sorry we didn't take pictures of our beautiful meal we were so hungry and all the food just looked so good couldn't bother taking my phone out this time)

The most enjoying that is the services especially the Manager Kenny. Food for hot pot which is not any special but it can be with the top services that is most important. At the other hand, Iwould like to recommend the sauces there is the best to let you tasteful.

First time for me and it was amazing, we ordered way to much food, I thought, but I was surprised at how much we ate in the end.

It’s nice to have small individual pots. The taste of the soup base were good. Service was friendly and attentive. All the food tasted fresh and the sauce bar had variety of choices. Little bit on the pricer side but it’s worth it.

This place has a really great vibe, the food presentation is beautiful and service is great! We ordered the spicy broth and I got the most spicy one and it is way too spicy! I think that the spice level is a bit out of control, after leaving the restaurant my stomach feels uncomfortable and I ended up puking everything I’ve had. So if you’re not extremely confident that you can eat spice, I would not recommend getting the spicy broth!

Love their food, service and ambiance. Quality of food is outstanding! Price is the same as any other good quality hot pot place. Very much worth it. Love love loveeee
