Had worked here in my teens but first time I've seen the rooms. Very spacious. Dining room breakfast was amazing. Would recommend to anyone.

Loved this place, staff are super friendly. Rooms are decent. Food was good and the walking trails were amazing!

Lovely historic hotel. Staying 2 nights. We were in the new section of the hotel so I can't speak to the rooms in the original section. Our room was lovely and the beds very comfy. Ate dinner in the lounge last night & it was very good. There was a bus tour staying there so it was busy. Today we had a lovely lunch in the Carriage Room. Fish cakes & seafood chowder were excellent. Our only complaint is the toilet is too low. As women seniors, with one of us having knee replacements, it's really hard to get down that low.

The Glynmill Inn is located adjacent to Glynmill Pond. We enjoyed the walking trails, which have access right at the hotel. The hotel needs some updating in the common areas as the carpet is showing its age. Our room was comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. The Carriage Room restaurant was less than hoped for. I ordered the cod tongues for an appetizer. They were tasty and chewy. Having never had these before I don't know how to rate this dish. I ate them all. My wife ordered the cod, which to her smelled more fishy than previous cod dinners in Newfoundland. I ordered toast turkey. The gravy had congealed by the time it arrived at our table. My meal was OK.

Staff was great. Room service wonderful. An extra, chair in the room would have gone a long way and a microwave.

Lovely old historic property. Clean and comfortable room. 4 stars because I found that the breakfast offering was overpriced for what I got.

I had the pleasure of trying a slice of the honey cake that was recently added to the menu by a new baker named Olena. I believe it is a common dessert in Ukraine and it did not disappoint! It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend trying it next time you're there. So great to see new menu items being added. Well done Olena and keep up the great (delicious) work!

We both ordered the hot turkey dinner, the portions were not great for the price of $20, the wife ordered fries but never got them, I didn't want the dressing, so I asked them to give it to my wife, but she probably only got a tablespoon under her turkey, dressing is only cheap, had to pay for the gravy for our vegetables and mashed potatoes, which doesn't make sense, it should be included with a hot turkey dinner, our waitress, Amber, was very polite

A very quaint old hotel in a picturesque setting. We were only there long enough to go to bed, get up and be on our merry way so I cannot comment on service but the room was very nice. The restaurant was supposed to be open at 7 and we had to leave right at 7 but there wasn't even a single staff member in the restaurant (in fairness, this was during covid when nobody wanted to work).

We stayed back in May en route to ultimately moving to Corner Brook and had a spectacular time. Huge rooms, great location and friendly staff! Got the honey cake from new baker Olena today and it was to die for one of the best desserts I've had in years!

Overall a nice and beautiful place to spend vacation time if you get the right room. We stayed here for two nights. Must say the front desk staff was very pleasant and friendly.
Our executive suit was located on the main floor and there was constant noise coming from the front desk communicating with other guests.and guests using the lobby washroom. We could not use the sitting room much for this reason. My son who slept on the sofa bed in the sitting room kept waking up due to noises. The bedroom was disturbed by cars pulling in and out of the parking (that was right outside the bedroom window) and people chatting. The air conditioner was not very effective and the washroom was very tight especially the shower. The bedding was old fashioned blankets, a disappointment.
The restaurant service was beyond below average. The tables were not being cleaned and the service was very poor. The food brought out was warm not hot.

Beds are comfortable. We opted not to have housekeeping while we were there and she did check in with us to see if we needed anything. We had a jr suite which was nice to have two rooms. Coffee maker and fridge provided. Older building and at times we could hear others In the hall. Staff very friendly and while we were there the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. Staff kept us informed of situation and made sure all were accounted for.

Met friends there for Dinner. With only 2 servers and no other help insight was ridiculous. No wonder there's turnover in staff. The young ladies that served were nice but it was obvious the frustration they were experiencing. Verrry sad for a hotel of this caliber!

I was simply blown away by this historic hotel, and I stay at hotels across Canada regularly. Amazing historic rooms. Such a charming historical place. Worth coming back.

Loved the stay. Service was awesome and upgraded to a suite. Restaurant was great with fantastic tasting food. Take a nice walk around the pond after your meal. Cheers

A building with historical elegance and much character. Located in the most picturesque area of town.

We drove from St. John's NL to B. C.and back left in May and returned 1 week ago. We stayed in hotels all along the way which was 15 hotels. This was the most expensive one we stayed in and we stayed in very nice hotels. The most expensive and other than 1 other hotel this one was the least pleasant. Our room was old and needed updating, bathroom was very small and dated. Pipes were exposed throughout the room. Breakfast was excellent and included. Parking was good. Rooms r just too small and AC wasn't working.

Great hospitality, friendly staff, very clean rooms. Very responsible for being covid-19 aware and safe, all protocols followed and little extra gestures done to make guest feel safe. Enjoyed our stay

Preface: the staff were very helpful and polite, however we cut our stay short here due to the state of the place, between paper thin walls with headboards seemingly backing onto one another, I could litterally hear people next door plugging in there phones, let alone their conversations, the rooms were very much over due an overhaul, with ours only having one bedside table and the noise of the fridge was so loud we had to unplug it.

The room also had an odd disinfectant smell, and was stocked with possibly the cheapest toilet paper I've ever used.

Another thrilling aspect was the elevator which felt like it could drop out from under you at any moment.

Additionally the complementary breakfast was only free if you don't value your taste buds.

This charming historic building could make an absolutely lovely place to stay, but a solid renovation effort and investment is desperately needed.

I ordered a subway club in a bowl.as the lady who was doing the veggies I asked if possible could I please have some shredded cheese and I said I would pay extra.the lady preparing the first part of the sub rudelybturned her back to me and whisper to the other lady that I already had cheese.it was like I was trying to steal cheese. I thought it was rude when I offered to pay for it anyway.thanks anyway.

THIS HOTEL IS SO BEAUTIFUL! Pet Friendly and affordable! Staff are amazing and always on hand ready to help! We had a stressful week and they made it so much easier on us! Absolutely beautiful gardens and surrounding area is quiet and calm! You really get what you pay for here! I’m absolutely never choosing another hotel in Corner Brook! Thank you to all the staff for being amazing we honestly can’t wait to come back for a real vacation and not a stressful pet surgery!

The staff turned me away because I had a service dog. It was late at night just after getting out of the hospital. I was forced to sleep under a bridge that night with Duke.

Shame on your heartless souls.

A delightful place to Lunch with friends. Service is fantastic and the food is delicious. Such a bright yet quaint dining room. I highly recommend it.

There were no towel racks in our room and no soap holders either. Their Nourish Spa Collection line were totally garbage and my hubby got a severe allergic reaction to the body bar soap. After some research, I've learned that the bar soap contains lemongrass and green tea essential oils which are potential allergens. Totally deceived that we would not even depend on the hotel's products while travelling. Bring your own personal body wash. The receptionist was also not welcoming at all, not a smile nor a warm greeting. It's pretty awkward for a hotel with such a reputation.

Didn't order.went to Boston Pizza.the Carriage Room had a very little gluten-free choices on the menu.and the server told us the toaster was about the only thing in the kitchen that was gluten-free.sad
