Hotel Corner Brook

Walk in last September 13 asked for a room, the guy at front desk said that he had one left a suit on the top floor, I said your full, him said to why do you think I'm lying to you, I said no no I was happy for them sense I know the owner some what.so he told us to take a seat very rudely, so we did and waited for about 15 minutes, then right out of the blue a man walks in asks if any room available, he said one left and gave it to him.so the wife and I left, I then called back to the hotel and asked for Shawn's number, which he wouldn't give me, so then said if I wanted a room he had another one available (cancelation), desperate because no rooms available in corner brook last night we took the room, now for as long as I can remember we always stay at hotel corner brook, but from this day forward as long as Mike is working there I will not be staying there at this hotel again.also was charged 138.00 on par with the green wood mamateek and glynmill in, but far from the decency of the others, so Shawn park I hope you do will with this hotel, but consider getting rid of a certain staff member, he's only out to hurt your business.sincerely a long time costumer, but not any more.

Location is good, people working there were helpful. I just didn't feel safe there as there are no locks at the entrance door and doors that lead to stairs are not locked and there is a pub in the same building. I could start the list that needed (air conditioning, microwave, kettle) but it is small hotel for very affordable price so you shouldn't expect a lot.

We checked in, then found a cigarette butt in the handle of our fridge door. When I brought it up to the staff I was told the best they could do was a 20% discount, which is ridiculous. Obviously the room was not cleaned, and since someone clearly smoked in the room they would have charged that person a $200 smoking fee, and they can't offer more than $25 to a guest who they failed. The owner ought to be ashamed of themselves, and the service was awful. 0 stars if I could.

Nice place, clean room, comfortable bed. Only issue was not being informed about $100 deposit before check in, Otherwise highly recommend!

We found a room in this hotel day of. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful when we needed extra toiletry items and our daughter dropped something down the drain. Our stay went smoothly. I only give it 4 instead of 5 stars because it is old and feels old. There is an AMAZING Mexican restaurant on the main floor!

Très petit, pas de bain, vue sur une usine, pas d'ascenseur, pas d'air climatisé. Très minimaliste pour le prix de 130$/nuit!

The owner is rude arrogant and has no clue how to run a hotel. At first things were fine having stayed here about 3 weeks, it just got worst over time.honestly people are better off staying literally anywhere else in the area. <br/>I deleted my old review because they started to send maids down to me and doing better service then today after the review was taken down the owner took the time to come to my room and aggressively question me about my review. He went on to tell me I had requested no maid service myself (this was because my old review stated I went 3 days without having a maid come in). I never requested such a thing who in their right mind is going to ask for a maid to not clean their room. <br/>They dont heat the basement so you constantly have a draft coming thru. No restaurant. Honestly if the attitude and rudeness of the owner isint enough to turn you away then maybe the lack of maid service will. Went 3 days without seeing a maid while staying here. No restaurant. Outdated. No working elevator. No cart to bring luggage in.

One positive was the front desk worker Sean was extremely professional and accommodation along with a lovely girl named Leanne. Without them being understanding and showing me compassion I would have went crazy staying at this place.
Maids are amazing people and do they're best but the issues come from management not the employees.

Man behind the desk was super friendly & gave us a fan to use. Put us up on the top floor with no elevator working, no air conditioning & smelt old & musty. Not worth the cost of 1 night
