The Hew & Draw Hotel

I highly recommend the Hew & Draw Hotel! What a great experience. The hotel is beautiful and very well cared for. Our king room was great. Super clean, modern, quiet. Bed and bedding first rate. We brought our doggo, and he loved the bed and special treats left for him. Best Coast Restaurant downstairs did everything right (bonus: breakfast is included in your room rate). And the staff is professional, genuine, and first-rate!

Superb hotel - high quality rooms (very clean, great in-room amenities), delicious food at the restaurant on site. I barely wanted to leave the building. Excited to make a trip back!

My only negative is that the wifi was sometimes weak (when used for video meetings) and ideally this could be improved.

Quiet, clean, and modern but, still warm and welcoming. I didn't go to the restaurant but my room service order was excellent. Next time I'll hopefully have more time to myself and I'll take advantage of all of the amenities. I'll be back for sure. Nice to see Corner Brook has a new and excellent place to stay.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. Great staff/location. Although it was a quick visit, I will be back.

Literally the best hotel experience I've ever had. Immaculate rooms, amazing patio hot tub (make sure you book your time at the front desk), even the smell of the hallways is great as the fireplace below wafts with birch and cedar. The restaurant was even better - 5 star quality. Every item we ordered was spectacular and the attention the detail was unreal. I can't recommend this place enough.

I recently stayed here at the Hew and Draw hotel, and it was by far the best hotel experience I have ever had. What truly elevated this was the surprise upgrade. We had just completed the 4 day long range traverse hike where I had proposed to my partner. I had booked the romance package here as a relaxing evening with some much needed time to rest and unwind, but also celebrate. Much to my surprise though upon check-in, we were upgraded to the executive suite complimentary. This room was amazing! We had such a good time and will be returning in the future for sure. Everything was great, from the friendliness of the staff, to the food at the restaurant, to the decor and cleanliness of the rooms. Next we return to NL we will be sure to revisit this hotel!

Charming and cute hotel in Cornerbrook. Stayed here because we are on an early flight from Toronto and wants to wait for daylight. We were checked in fast by the receptionist even though its 2am. Bed is big and comfy, washroom is clean which I love. The staffs were amazing and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Absolutely loving this place. We've been here a couple of nights now, and there's so much to like:

-The rooms are great - modern and comfortable.
-The patio on the second floor with the outdoor hot tubs - awesome.
-The restaurant and brewery downstairs is top notch with great service
-The room includes breakfast from the restaurant which is amazing
-Every staff member we've interacted with has been incredibly friendly and helpful.
-French press and kettle in the room is the best hotel coffee setup ever.

My only very small complaint is that there's no closet, and no iron in the room- but that's a very minor thing. Our new favorite location in Cornerbrook - can't wait to come back!

This was my first trip to the Hew & Draw. My spouse and I had an executive king suite with a romance package. It was absolutely perfect friendly service clean neat room great view. The bed was very Comfortable the bathroom had heated floor. We went to the brewery and resturant on site it was beyond my high expectations amazing food and servers. The beer was top notch absolutely loved the stout. Breakfast was one of the best I've had at any resturant. The dinner I had was exellent nothing is boring at this place. It is definitely one of my favourites and I definitely want another trip to there again.

So where to start? From the heated bathroom floors, to the high end bath and body products that are supplied I just kept getting more and more impressed with each corner I turned in the room! The décor is so elegant, simple and clean! The colour scheme was very neutral and relaxing and simple touches like the phone just made the room so charming!
The young men who worked the front desk were also so delightful. Very helpful with recommendations and just lovely to chat with in general. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the area, and I will definitely be staying here again when I am back.

First time staying there and the extra touches were amazing. I loved the fact that the coffee maker was a french press and used local grinds. I also really liked the heated floors and the robes were a nice touch. East Coast Glow products for the bathroom was excellent. The food.breakfast was included in my stay and they had great Gluten free options which is usually a struggle for me when I travel.

Staff were super friendly and helpful.
I will stay here again for sure.

The room's were beautiful had everything we needed and more. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable especially at the restaurant. Our supper was amazing and the drinks were perfect. Highly recommend the hot tub at any hour. Hew and Draw was the highlight of our Cornerbrook adventure.

Clean and charming hotel, with very friendly service. Showers were adequate, however could use different shower heads with adjustable settings. Beds were super comfy and the rooms were very well put together. Love the charm of the wallpapers around and the displayed art was interesting. The location is great and next to downtown. & the hiking trails behind the hotel were super close and have great views of the town.

A touch of elegance. Was passing through and wish we were staying for more nights. Beautiful patio cute contrast rooms and a great location for exploring

What a great experience with a hotel. Reception was friendly, descriptive and quick. Rooms are beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast in the morning was a pleasant start. Truly not a negative in my experience.

If you have the opportunity to stay here - do such a gem

Fabulous hotel. All the little details were thought about - large layouts, beautiful design and lots of great amenities that most hotels don’t offer. Loved the hot tubs, breakfast and water bottle filling stations. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back. The only downside was that it seemed like the AC was controlled centrally, so the temp it was set at was a bit warm for sleeping.

Modern, upscale hotel and rooms. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!

Reserved and cancelled on the same day. I emailed twice asking for a cot for my six year old daughter explaining that we’d be arriving late in the evening from the ferry. Both times the hotel replied that they have only two cots, first come first serve. This is not “best practice”. Just tell me whether you have somewhere for my child to sleep or not, especially when I ask a month in advance.

Weird. And a pity.

The dozens of hotels we’ve stayed in around the world understand that travelling families just want to know that their kids are going to have a bed or not.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! The decor, the customer service, the food, simply everything. This place is on another level. Well done on all sides. Cannot wait to come back!

This place rivals and urban boutique hotel—but with reasonable rates. The Hew and Draw is not just a place to stay, but a destination unto itself. The rooms, Boomstick, food, beer, rooftop hot tubs, and shopping boutique are all A1. I hope this west coast gem thrives and sticks around as it’s now the only place I’ll stay when travelling back home.

Weary from a 12-hour day of driving, my wife, toddler, and I were in desperate need of some downtime. The recent COVID-19 outbreak due to the Omicron virus made finding a spotless and sanitary environment a top priority for us due to my impaired immune system and the weak immune system of my toddler. Previous stays in the general area were often disappointing and sometimes appalling. Reluctantly, we decided to stay at The Hew and Draw Hotel. The room and service exceeded our expectations. It was the best stay we've ever had at a hotel. The local products in the room, uncarpeted flooring, the accessibility features such as the wide doorways and oversized shower, the accessible, low rise steps, and automatic doors made the stay homely and comforting. There's a restaurant and brewery on the hotel's main floor, which was outstanding. Usually, we would stay in Deer Lake for the night. But, after our stay at The Hew and Draw Hotel, we will be traveling the extra distance to lavish in the best hotel on the West Coast.

Gorgeous hotel! Not quite what you’d anticipate in small town NL. The design of the rooms are modern and Scandinavian inspired. Hard wood, knitted rugs, big windows, warm drapes, and the best products in every room. East coast glow is one of my personal favourite soaps, and this hotel stocks them. The service is always incredible, the reception staff are friendly and warm, and provide an authentic NL experience, which is what most tourists are definitely seeking. The value for the rooms is good, and breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, any breakfast, not just a continental, is provided with your room booking included in the fee. The hotel is always spotless, and the beds are great. In the summer, you have to check out the patio and rent one of the jacuzzi tubs!

Excellent staff- made us feel welcome and attended to all details. Food and microbrewery were fantastic. My new favorite hotel on the Rock. Thank you.

Beautiful, modern hotel with clean, comfortable, and well appointed rooms. Amazing staff! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The centerpiece of this hotel is the restaurant and taproom, Best Coast Restaurant which serves delicious food and spectacular craft beer from Boomstick Brewing Company which has it's home in the hotel. I will be staying here on all my trips to Corner Brook.

This is one of the best hotels in Newfoundland! Besides it's quaint and charming atmosphere, the restaurant on-site serves delicious food, as well there is a brewery on-site which produces some delicious craft beer. Highly recommend this place!

Hew & Draw have the most friendly and accommodating staff. They welcomed us warmly when we arrived, answered all of our questions, and explained all of the hotels amenities. The room was stunning with very chic wall paper, comfortable beds and with a great little bar area which included a mini fridge and some shelfs and drawers. They have a great little restaurant connecting to the hotel which we got to have breakfast for free at every morning. They have many areas around the hotel that you can lounge around. They went over and above for our stay bringing in a cot, and a microwave for us. It made our trip so much more enjoyable having such an accommodating home base. Thank you to everyone at Hew & Draw Hotel for making it such an amazing trip for us!

Went for a funeral luncheon. Food was awesome and facility is new and clean. Love the 2nd floor outdoor patio.

A Beautiful, well designed Hotel. Staff is amazing and helpful. We stayed in the king suite. It was very big and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The decor was stunning. I appreciate the heated washroom floor. It also came with a continental breakfast that was delicious and I like getting an e-receipt.

There was a few things though. One, our window looked on what I would say is the rooftop patio. So, I'm not sure how much privacy we would have had if someone was on the patio. Second, our blackout blinds was not working. We tried manually moving them, looking for a remote or wall controls. But, with no luck. Lastly, I think the washroom floor heating is on a timer as it was cold in the morning when I woke. I checked the wall thermostat and it showed 21/26. So, at some point in time it dropped to 21° from the set 26° temp.

A couple recommendation I would make are. One, a microwave in the room (not sure if all rooms need one but, at least the king suite). Last, a sign across from the elevator doors on the main floor planning direction of the restaurant (this one maybe our dumbness but, there is nothing clear that tills you to go right to the restaurant).

All in all, we had a great stay and will return the next time we are in Newfoundland.

Great service and clean room.hot tub was so nice.gym could have been better equipped.breakfast in the morning was delicious but were out of my first option, they didnt know how to make an Americano, and my wifes breakfast bowl had no yogurt.that all being said we look forward to coming back

What a pleasant surprise finding this beautiful place to stay in Corner Brook on our way back to NS! So clean, vibrant and with a perfect mix of modernness, charm and authenticity! Even our dog was not just tolerated but welcomed with a bed just for him, food and water bowls and a bag of treats! The brewery and restaurant are also spectacular!
This will definitely be part of our journey from now on and I’m already planning an escape to the H&D without the kids and dog to take advantage of the rooftop hot tub and bar:)

The hotel it self was beautiful and very nice. The staff were also really nice and easy too talk to.
But from what we had understood when we booked the hot tub for a certain time was that they were booked at 10pm, so we had to choose a different time because she told us 10pm wasn't available. So we took 9pm thinking it would be just us. We booked our room and it was super small! Not what I thought I booked online, the wifi was terrible, the tv kept shutting off and not working. When we got into the hot tubs another couple had come right beside us in the other one, and we also had SEVERAL people watching us in the windows of the hotel, and there was also another couple on the other side of the hot tubs. Parking was also annoying, not many places to park so you had to go over by a church and walk back to the hotel which was a nusiance since we had a suit case and few bags with us. But in my opinion what we had payed for the room wasn't worth it.

Unlike anything else!

My wife and I stayed at the Hew & Draw for one night and everything was above and beyond our expectations.

The rooms were just as advertised: great decor, nice furniture, the bed was especially comfortable. The soaps, lotions, shampoos, were a nice touch, head and shoulders above the typical hotel stuff.

We ordered room service and it was top notch. The home-made bread was amazing. We got a free breakfast the next morning with scrambled eggs, biscuits, cool oatmeal, and more of the awesome bread.

We'd been to the taproom and restaurant the day before, another must-see attraction.
