We’re totally stunned by the spectacular auroras on all 3 consecutive nights during our stay The weather was freezing cold at -35 to -40 and we felt it was even colder probably -50 when we stand outside So kudos to our guides Saxon, Floris and Janet who braved the condition and helped us to take beautiful pictures. They sent the pictures out just a few hours after the tour so we were able to see them once we woke up, how thoughtful! And what’s more it’s free! Add oil Saxon, Floris and Janet

We’re also amazed by the hospitality of the Hong Kong family (CK, Angela and Verda) who owned and run the business, they connected with people on a personal way and made us feel very at ease. A special shout out to Verda who went out of her way to help us find hotel and flights when our original flight out was cancelled

This tour company is very organized, informative, has efficient communication via email, even with the time zone difference. All of the tour guides (CK, Angela, Verda, Janet, Angus, Saxon, and Sheldon) we had in our 4 Day, 3 Night Diamond Package were accommodating, polite and professional. We had an stress-free vacation and were able to see the northern lights 2 out of the 3 nights we went on the tours! I love that they support local restaurants and shops, and gave sound advice about the town when we chose to walk around and explore on our own for a few hours. Our flight was to arrive at midnight before our tour started later that same day, and after we informed them of our flight itinerary, the tour company made a smooth process of helping us check in to the hotel an extra overnight stay and picked us up from the airport when we arrived very late. After our tour ended 4 days later, our flight back home was at 7 AM, and had to leave the hotel at 5 AM, so the tour company dropped us off at the airport as well. They also had extra winter boots and coats, gloves etc for people ($40/day extra) for people who didn't have the necessary attire for the cold weather, and also snacks, drinks, for each late night Aurora viewing. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to have an stress-free Aurora Borealis experience in a charming small town!

The bosses of Yellowknife Tours, the Law Family, are super accommodating people. Very hardworking, very friendly and helpful. The staff members and the guides like Claire, Janet and Renee are super good. They do more than a Guide does. They are professional and very smart, multilingual and knowledgeable. Oh, and their photography skills are top of the world. Sounds like they know each and every one camera's functions. Good food, good company and they show good spirit of HK people.

You can experience the attitude and friendliness of the staff when you are picked up at the Yellowknife Airport. The staff takes care of your need from your arrival until your departure. The activities and the meals arranged by the Company are well planned. On the last date my group has to leave at the 6: 00 am when the restaurant of the hotel has not yet opened for business. When they arrive, to our surprise and out of our expectation,
they bring each of us a pack of breakfast. This Company knows not only services provided by a tour company, but also the hospitality extended to their customers.

We came to Yellowknife after wildfires and Yellowknife tour was responsive effectively and ended up we decided to go for it. We joined 4D3N tour and saw the northern lights every night, they won’t give up until tracing the aurora for us. The tour was amazing and peaceful for the places we went, worth to come once a lifetime. Janet is patient, kindness and helpful, her professional and expertise is highly valued! We had a fantastic time on our trip with Yellowknife Tours! They offer an excellent service with dedication and professionalism. We booked the 3 nights diamond winter package, which couldn't have been a better choice. It included all our needs: airport transfer, all meals, daily and nightly activities and pick-ups to all tours and activities. Everything was well organized and managed. Verda and the team were warm, friendly, knowledgeable and thoughtful. They were always concerned about making sure we enjoyed the experience. They are punctual with the pick-ups and the scheduled activities, but also flexible to meet our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed the city tour. It was an excellent opportunity to learn about Yellowknife and its history and culture. The ice-fishing was a unique experience, as well as the dog sledding. We had so much fun! The meals included in the package were a great bonus. We ate delicious food with the comfort of having transportation to the restaurants. The aurora tours were incredible! It was a privilege to experience the northern lights from different locations. The guides gave us tips on taking the best photos, and they also shared photos taken from their professional câmeras with no additional fees. We had complimentary snacks and hot drinks to keep us warm.

Yellowknife Tours provided extremely professional, friendly and kind services. It was so good that we have came back for a second trip. Their professionalism made our trips a perfect ones.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport to our departure this was one of the best adventures we have ever had. Yellowknife Tours made it so much fun. We r extremely happy that we chose Yellowknife Tours for our vacation. They planned everything meticulously and added a personal touch, which made all the difference.
The owner, Verda, was so down to earth and friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay memorable n awesome. Even something as boring as a legislative assembly tour was made super interesting by her sheer passion and knowledge of the city, province, and the history of the aboriginal people.
In fact, the entire team is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and caring.
I had fallen sick, and Angela went above and beyond by driving my husband around to buy food and water for me.
The aurora viewing was spectacular, and they ensured that they we could get as many photos clicked by them as we liked. They also ended the aurora viewing tour only after everyone was satisfied and after having viewed the spectacular aururas to their heart's content.

We recently used Yellowknife Tours for a dog sledding experience and highly recommend the group for any sightseeing you need! The communication was very easy and responsive, they showed up exactly on time at our rental house and the tour guide Iris was wonderful. Iris went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and took care of us.

We went this past December. We actually hand selected particular activities we wanted as we also rented a car to tour the city on our own. The host accommodated our different schedule and provided a wonderful time for the viewings, dog sled, and fishing. We called to book the tour and Angela helped guide through the booking. They picked us up at the hotel and took us to the different venues. There's always the chance of the lights not showing up, which unfortunately happened in our case. I think that's a chance you have to take unless you book your flight tickets last minute and know the weather forecast. Outside of the lights, dog sledding and ice fishing were the highlights. Our ice fishing guide Sean was really accommodating and kind as we had two young children, 5 and 8. He gave us a hands-on experience in ice fishing and cooked a fish for us in the cabin. Would recommend! But definitely know the risk that the aurora borealis viewing is dependent on weather conditions.

Highly recommend if you are planning to see aurora in Yellowknife. Tour guides (Iris, Renee and Verda) and driver (Sheldon) are friendly, helpful and professional. We really enjoyed their tours.

Wonderful three-night tour with Yellowknife tours! They went above and beyond - all pick-ups were on time and they were very organized - even had hot drinks and snacks for us in the bus. The Cozy Cabin experience was amazing as was dog sledding and the indigenous reserve. We saw the lights the first evening which I was very grateful for! They even shipped my forgotten gloves to me after I'd flown home. Highly recommend this outfit for an experience you won't forget!

Cannot say enough good things about Verda and Yellowknife Tours! We booked a last minute dogsledding tour - communication, booking, transportation was all very easy. Our trip had many little "extras" which made it well worth it (snacks, staff taking "action shot" photos), and Verda went out of her way to make sure everyone was having a good time. So appreciate the experience and getting the chance to drive a dogsled!

We booked our vacation to Yellowknife through Yellowknife tours and our experience was amazing. My husband and I had the best time watching northern lights and exploring the place. Our guides (Verda, Angela, Rene and Claire) were so knowledgeable and beyond helpful in making us feel comfortable. Everything was very well managed.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff and the tour experience! I would definitely recommend them.

4/5 Verda and her parents are great. You can tell they really care about making sure everyone got to see the Northern Lights. I had a really good time!

Only issue was getting home. I was tired as it was 12: 30 and asked to leave. Was told I have to get a consensus from other people to leave. So I basically had to convince other guests to leave with me which was awkward and annoying.

All the staff members have passion to entertain customers specific needs rather than commercial oriented. Even night outing is late passing much the planned return time, they provided extended stay to let customers experience the magnificent Aurora during CME. Highly recommended to join their packages if you intend to go there for Aurora. I was just there the 4th time and a repeated customer.

My 8 friends and I went to Yellowknife in March for a school project and decided to book some touristic activities while we were there. Booking with Yellowknife tours was an excellent choice! We did the deluxe coach aurora tour, the aboriginal cultural tour, and the dog sledding. I communicated with Claire before Yellowknife was accepting travelers and she was very helpful! I also communicated with Verda by telephone who was equally as helpful. We ended up getting lucky and having both Verda and Claire as our tour guides. They were both so helpful with taking pictures of us and helping us take our own pictures with our cameras and phones! The dog sledding was also great, we got warm beverages after all three activities. Highly recommend! Thank you Verda and Claire!

I joined their 3 nights package. After I was arrived, I was told that I am the only one in this tour group, since other members cancelled. What? I had never thought one person could work, but VIP now LOL. I like this tour very much, Claire answered all my questions friendly and patiently through emails, CK gave me an excellent city tour and explained lots of details. Verda gave me the 2 best nights there! She provided different experiences and took all aurora photos for me, I also had chances to visit the local apartment and house, I really enjoyed viewing aurora and chatting with her (and her associate/friend Tracy)!

I was lucky to see aurora in 2 nights there. This is my first time to join a tour group (although finally only me haha), I was also very lucky to choose this tour company. They are funny, caring, patient and friendly, they made me feel more like hosted by a friend or family. Highly recommend Yellowknife Tours!

If your dream is to capture the northern lights you absolutely have to go with Verda and the tour organized by them. She is fantastic, we stayed until late at night to see the northern lights.she took pictures and she kindly shared them with us, and she also helps all participants to adjust the settings of the camera to allow them to take the best photos. Absolutely recommended. THANK YOU VERDA for this once in a lifetime experience I will forever remember!

We had such a fantastic experience with Yellowknife Tours. We booked a Northern Lights Tour at the Aurora Viewing Station. Not only did the lights come out and were beautiful, but our guide was so nice and took some amazing photos of us which he shared with us. The Viewing Station itself is lovely and warm. They provide hot chocolate, tea, etc.and made us soup! Totally recommend this!

We also booked a dog sledding tour. This was absolutely amazing! We got to help drive the sled. We were able to pet and hang out with the dogs who were obviously all so well loved and happy. One of the best experiences ever. Would definitely do this again!

We are a group of three people joining Yellowknife Tours in Sept 3-6,2019, hoping to see Northern Lights in Yellowknife. The staff of Yellowknife tours, including YC, Verda, Chris, Shan Shan and Robin, are excellent in making an extra mile to make us feel uplifted and positive when the weather is not so co-operate. Especially, Verda, Chris, Shan Shan are extremely caring and helpful in assisting us to set up our cameras for Northern lights shooting, look out for the Aurora borealis and taking pictures for us as well. They are also very knowledgeable in Aurora borealis and Yellowknife history. While we are in different locations observing Aurora Borealis, there are food and warm drink provided especially the night in Aboriginal village, we enjoyed the fish and indigenous food.
Verda is a dedicated staff who response to my questions promptly and take time to explain to me.
During the 4 days three nights tour, we have two nights of seeing Aurora.in particular the 3 rd night, the Aurora are magnificent, they are all over the sky and in varies shapes and colours. This trip make our dream come true.we also receive pictures taken by staff of Yellowknife Tours and they take great shots of us and Aurora.

Before we booked the tour, they were very patient in answering our non-stop questions. After we booked the tour and during our holiday, they always put our interest first. The support we received was thoughtful and flexible. Verda the owner once offered to drive my wife to buy swimming suit for an upcoming activity. The guides and drivers Shan, Long, Kris and Robin were dedicated and polite. They also helped us to take good pictures at many memorable moments. Free of charge photo taking was unlimited so that we could focus on watching aurora dancing.

We had an unforgettable experience joining the 4 days 3 nights Trout Rock Lodge package with Yellowknife Tours. We saw the Aurora Borealis dance above us, caught pike fish on the Great Slave Lake, picked berries and Amethyst gemstones, hiked around lakes and mountains home to the aboriginals. This trip was definitely one for the books! ️

We joined one night aboriginal cultural aurora viewing tour. It was an amazing place and experience we had. Excellent communication before departure and service during the tour. And took lots of fantastic picture for free. One of the best tour we join in Yellowknife. Definitely will come back again or suggest to all.

Wonderful experience with Yellowknife Tours! The tour guides in the company are kind and helpful. Despite of the extreme weather in Yellowknife, they would try their best to call us out and take photos for all of us. They also explained clearly about each tourism spot in Yellowknife during the city tour. I really enjoy the dog sledding and snow mobiling a lot. It’s very cloudy the week Jan 4-6 since the weather was relatively higher than previous years. The week before was -40, we didn’t get to see Aurora on the first Aurora hinting night. On the second night at Aboriginal Aurora village, still very cloudy. Luckily, Aurora light was strong 4.2 even though we could barely see it with our eyes. It’s already beautiful! Thanks much to the guide he took really great photos for us for free
