Mic Mac Bar and Grill

Was amazed by how quickly our large group was server despite the restaurant being packed. A massive menu which is usually a bad sign but every meal came out perfect.

This is the spot! Dont look further! The food is amazing all this for around 70$: whole lobster, steak, scallops, shrimp, haddock with 3 sides! Everything was fresh one of the best seafoods I had! The fish chowder was on point too!

The burger was superb, and the wait staff was super friendly and efficient. (and I've been back 2 more times). Absolutely delicious!

Came back today November 25th, 2023 Our waitress was Jeanette. Jeanette was wet above and beyond. Today I took pictures of my nachos, totally delicious and my partner had steak and scallops that was cooked to perfection. We shall be back. Thank you. Establishment was busy. Waiter was busy, company we ate with was great. If you go to a food establishment that is busy expect to wait if want your meal to be the standard you expect. With today's shortage of menu items and staff it was a great night out. Everyone was happy with the meal and service. Do not be upset with the staff at any establishment they do the best they can. It is certainly not a career I could do. I appreciate the workers.

I think people are attracted to the tradition of this establishment more than the quality of the food. This is not my first choice when looking for a steak.

I can’t even rate them a 0 star but I trained calling all day to make sure a table of two was available but I never got a pick up

This is hands down the best food in Dartmouth (for casual occasions). Be prepared to be full! The portions are huge and delicious. If you plan on getting dessert, prepare to bring half your meal home

On a Tuesday night for dinner it was super full so definitely make a reservation, there were 4 of us.

Even with how busy it was our server Shelly was lovely, she was attentive and helpful, knew the menu well and was very quick!

We ordered apps and 4 different steaks and they all came out fairly quickly and correctly, and they were amazing.
Steaks especially were great portions, and the bone in cuts didn't feel like most of the weight was bone. All of the steaks were clearly aged as shown on their menu, being so delicious and so tender, we loved them!

If you're looking for a great steak, skip anything in Downtown Halifax, especially overpriced places like Cut where it's all show and no substance. This is the best bang for your buck when it comes to a steak in the HRM.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Definitely at the top of my list for pub food. The service is always fast and friendly and every single item on the menu is fantastic. Some of my favorites are the steak, chicken wings and ribs. They also have an excellent selection of seafood. Really, it doesn't matter what you order from the menu, it's all excellent. I highly recommend it.

Loved the Micmac since their original location. Even since I wasn't allowed in for chicken strips because I was underage, many moons ago their old and current location were both exceptional and the food definitely speaks for itself. Lifetime customer from a few hours away!

This place is spectacular. I LUV the Rib steak. I would go here for steak over anywhere in town.and the prices are cheaper. It's more of a family feeling or a tavern.but the staff is great.

We drive 4 hours each way just to go to eat at Mic Mac. The food is always amazing, it is run like a well oiled machine. Attentive and accurate staff. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

Loved this restaurant! We were on a trip from Ontario back in May, and were told about Mic Mac, so we tried it out. I thought maybe everything was so good because I was in the clouds from getting engaged the day before we ate here, but I’ve been thinking about this restaurant ever since! I’m not a seafood person, but the calamari was so good. Best I’ve ever had! Their chicken Caesar salad was also the best I’ve ever had. It was delicious. When we go back to NS, I will be going to this restaurant, and recommending it to anyone! The staff was awesome, the atmosphere was great, and the restaurant was very clean. 10000/10!

I really enjoy this place, it's one of my favorites in the city and for good reason! Food, service, and value! Everything one looks for when going to eat!

I ordered the beef melt, and it was delicious. The beef was tender, the melted cheese and onions with that nice BBQ sauce drizzled on top makes the mouth water! I usually come here for their steaks as they are the best steaks I've ever tasted consistently. I've been to many steakhouses in different provinces, and different countries.however, I keep coming back here as these are my favorite. They also have the best potato skins they are crispy, spiced, and you can get them upgraded with cheese and bacon to make them taste even better!

The service here in my experience is the best. The restaurant is always busy, but yet you are never ignored, servers are above and beyond and they really want to make sure they are doing their best. Shoutout to Paul, the tall young curly haired student, guy with the knee brace, and the reservation lady! Always happy and can share a smile!

Keep doing what you're doing, because in my opinion and by the busy-ness of the restaurant it's working!

Have been coming here for years! With their expansion has come a solid staff which has resulted in the best consistency for food and service. Judy the dining manager is the absolute best!

It's always a great time, and the food is delicious. They have the best beef dip in the province!

Scrumptious meals were served in generous portions! No wonder people keep coming back to this place.

I ordered a meat service with lobster, and the lobster was poorly cooked, unpleasant looking, when I opened it I immediately noticed the es. Very unpleasant

Without question the best place to eat in the whole maritimes. Fantastic food. Get the ribs if you're lucky enough to have some before they sell out. Professional wait staff. Never a complaint, always happy to help.

If you go to Nova Scotia Without eating at the tavern you never properly came to Nova Scotia

Absolutely the best place for steak and / or ribs. The hamburgers are delicious. The staff are excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is great. I'll be back for sure.

Very disappointing experience from a supposed 4+ star restaurant.
Waited 45 minutes for a table, which we had no problem with whatsoever. It was our first time there, and we brought our friends who were visiting from the UK, they wanted to try lobster and we were told this was the best place to go. We asked about the price of lobster, and ordered our drinks. The waiter came back a while later when we were ready to order and informed us that they were out of lobster, so we asked for more time to decide what we wanted. When he came back I asked to order the seafood platter, where he then told me they were out of clams. Okay, no problem. My boyfriend ordered and asked for the ribs, then the waiter told us they didn't have that either. He told us that people should call to reserve certain dinners because they don't always have it, that sunday nights they often run out of a lot of things? Why would this not be posted on the website? Or at the door? Or told to us when we made our reservation? Why would he not mention all of the other items they didn't have when we were told about the lobster? Or when we were given our menus in the first place? Not one of us were able to get the meal we went there for, and after waiting 45 minutes for a table we no longer had time to go to another restaurant.
Our server did not bring us any of the food, other random servers did instead. Which would be fine, if our items weren't brought to the wrong table several times first. I understand they were very busy though and things happen, they're only human! It was just an added set back to an already unfortunate experience. There seemed to be a large lack of communication all around.
This was our first time there and unfortunately, it will certainly be our last.

If you haven't enjoyed one of the best places to dine in the HRM, you're missing out! Always excellent, you can be blindfolded and pick a meal that will be incredible! Service is always outstanding!

This was great! The prices are so reasonable and the portions are HUGE. Almost too big haha. Everything was very tasty. Our server was lovely.
