Moxies Nova Centre Restaurant

Very high scale. Good food (steak was delicious). Prices are a bit high but well worth the quality.

A friend and I stopped by last night for a few drinks before heading to a birthday party. Always a great experience. Will be back.

I’ve had a really good time and the food was great. Thanks a thousand times to the staff for making sure I got safely into my taxi as I was alone at night. I will come back!

The taste and service were good.
In particular, the service spirit of the staff is excellent.
I will eat nachos again next time^^

Great setting to meet with friends over a meal or drinks and a lot of great deals throughout the week. The service is always friendly and efficient! Best Moxies in Halifax!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our waitress, Brianna was fantastic-kudos to her! The food was delicious. The volume of the music was a bit too loud for us to carry on a conversation with ease. We certainly didn't allow it to ruin our evening. We had tickets for an event and our waitress had us all fed and the bills settled in perfect time. We will definitely return again.

Expensive, but not unexpectedly so. Service was amazing and super fast but the portions are kinda small. Such is the life at a fancy restaurant.

Went for happy hour but the waitress didn’t give us a happy hour menu but expected us to laugh it off with her as she was “confused”…. Horrible.

Worst dinner experience in Halifax ever
1) appentizers were already servered for 5mins, we did not get any cutlery
2) no one ever refilled our water
3) we had no napkin entire dinner even we asked for it multi times
we only got chance to talk with our waitress 3 times: when we order drink, order food and get bills
anyone who is reading this review, NEVER EVER GO TO DINNER AT THIS MOXIE

Update: I contacted the general manager and they were quick to provide a response and options to resolve the issue.

Seated after a 15min wait, bartender took our drink order then asked if we'd like to order food. We did, and I watched her enter our orders on the computer. Waitress came by with cutlery. 30 mins later waitress came back to say she was sorry but our order was missed because the bartender took the order instead of her. Not sure why she didn't realize when she brought our cutlery. We had to leave for an event, very disappointed we were there for an hour and didn't get food. Manager gave two 10 dollar gift cards which can't be used at the same time, also disappointing. Very poor staff communication.

The food is great, but the service has been bad every time I’ve gone there. The servers are frequently chatting with each other or they’re flirting with male patrons instead of doing their job. Very frustrating and I’m embarrassed whenever I’m with a guest.

Vegetarian options are tasteless and on top of it the staff is so rude that once you pay the bill they won’t even serve you a glass of plain water. Had gone there for birthday celebration but they just ruined our mood.

Be ready to see grumpy faces & also not cared once you pay the bill! Even when just 2 tables were occupied, Getting a glass of water was impossible after a $220 bill plus tips. Terrible customer service! Never visiting this place again! Waitress didn’t deserve a penny tip

We had their calamari, roasted tomatoes and feta, yum. Steak and salmon as mains, delicious. Highly recommend!

The food is always delicious. The atmosphere is classy and clean. The staff are next level top shelf servers and they really know how to make you feel welcome and keep you coming back for more. One of my favourite spots to go sit and have drinks with a friend, or have a meal!

A slow night as it is getting colder outside. But we received the warmest service. Emma’s suggestion on the wine was a cherry on the top for our amazing birthday dinner.

Really bad food. Pasta was dry and the wings were absolutely horrible. Terrible waitresses. Completely ignored us all the time. Didn’t even get us water. Had to beg them to send the bill. Never going there again.

The most expensive dinner ever. Delicious food. My kid had Burger with bacon and fries and ice cream for dessert. I had salt and pepper wings, fries and key lime pie for dessert. Absolutely delicious. Cost us 89dollars includes a 15% tip.

Our server Meryl was great! Fast friendly & quick to adjust to our specific needs, the food was excellent as was the atmosphere.

I was told the Moxies Grill at this location offers great foods so I gave it a try on Canada day.
The menu didn't really satisfy me, items were high carb, over priced and the only seafood option that caught my eyes was not available.
The steak was supposed to be medium rare but it was medium. The taste was more of a stew than a steak we traditionally know. Nowadays it's hard to find a steak that has nothing but a high quality meat and nothing else. The fries and mash potato were amazing though.
I asked for the hottest sauce and I got a little bit of spice in a ketchup but I had a great experience with the staffs and their great customer services.
Not sure if I revisit again, but if I do I won't go for the steak menu.

Ordered a Steak Frites. I had to tell the Manager that the steak was stiff and had nerves and was not the greatest. I was offered a meal replacement which I appreciated and refused. Maybe steak is not their thing, will give it another try next time Im in town with something else off the menu.

Food was nice, but it was a long wait for it and even longer wait for drinks. Our group left happy and full though!

The manager was very helpful with a group event of 18. Was easy to deal with and helpful with every aspect! We will be back! Go and try this place with a group it won’t disappoint!

Being a vegetarian the food served was amazing. We ordered nachos, tacos, veggie burger and platter. Everything was delicious and server was really helpful. Alongside with fabulous ambience.

I order take out.when l was ready to pay the server set the the machine on the amount and picked tip.didn't give me the option to pick tip or not myself. Which l find is disrespecting. I didn't argue with her. I was upset.l work in the restaurant industry.hospitality is very important. Give clients the opportunity to tip respectfully on their own.

The food is delicious. Being a vegetarian my experience was great. You can alter the some of the non vegetarian items into vegetarian. The staff is friendly.
At the end we have tried the white chocolate brownie desert that you must try.

After doing check in in the hotel I decided to go out and have dinner, while everybody else has already closed their kitchen, Moxie was still cooking orders, my pasta was really tasty, a nice start for my trip, the staff was fast and courteous, if you are in downtown is late night and you want a beer and something to eat, this is the place to go.

The food is exactly as you would expect from a Moxie's- tasty. Well presented, and satisfying. The tofu lettuce wraps are stellar. But you would assume the number of staff there would allow for better service; unfortunately, seven unfriendly faces at the door with a lackluster greeting, combined with an overabundance of bright, invasive TVs and big open space with no warmth or personality, make for a lacklustre experience.

Today we arrived around 3 pm there was maybe 2 tables in the whole place. I ordered steak frites and mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Once I received my food I wanted some butter for my potatoes but the waitress was no where to be found. My husband finally waved her down and she brought me butter that was hard as a rock and ice cold. I put it on my potatoes but by then they were also ice cold so butter would not melt.
Steak was so touch that I ate it cause the server never came back once and I was hungry.
After the meal we sat there for about 20 minutes with dirty plates to the side (with all the potatoes still on the plate) as I watched her in the front playing on her phone. I was a waitress for 30 years and this type of service will most definitely keep us away from moxies.
Unfortunately not once did she ask us if everything was okay as we seemed more of a bother to her.
I wasn’t looking for a discount or anything from them just good food and good service.

Love Moxies worked at one in Fort Mac before.this was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Rude hostess, terrible seating, server didn't say hi or offer us drinks for 15-20 minutes after sitting down, drinks took another 15-20 mins to get. Friend & I both ordered sirloin steaks both medium, 30 minutes later they come, no pepper offered, can I get you anything else. My steak was very bloody less than medium rare and my friends was well done. I gave her half my steak so she didn't have to wait longer to send it back as starving, server never came to check on food or ask if steaks good for 15-20 mins when we almost done plates. No more drinks offered or dessert. Bills took long time to come and it was different employee who mixed up our bills was an issue when we both had same things. Over all bad experience and I won't visit this Moxies location ever again, felt very uncared about sad time trying to enjoy a nice meal: (

One of my favorite restaurants in Halifax. The food is amazing and the environment too. I’m obsessed with the white chocolate brownie

Have been coming here to the downtown location quite a bit for their Vegan tofu lettuce wraps, super tasty and filling. I usually get server courtney at night time and she’s so great! Bubbly fun personality and always seems like she’s in a great mood. Seems like she thoroughly enjoys her job and makes moxies look like a great place to work. Their menu is also super great for vegan/vegetarian items, I am overall impressed of the food, atmosphere and staff! Will continue to keep coming here for food and drinks as one of my go to places!

Terrible experience at this location. Came in on a Sunday night, there were two servers working, and two other tables seated in the entire restaurant, so you'd assume we'd have some quality service. Incorrect.

We came in as two people, but we're waiting on three others. Our server quickly sat us at a table and gave us some menus and water, but neglected to ask us if we wanted anything else to drink. We planned on ordering some appetizers while we waited on the rest of our group, but the server never came back to us. We waited approximately 15-20 minutes for a server to check in on us, and tried to get their attention twice afterwards, but they totally ignored us and walked on past. She locked eyes with us, while we tried to get her to attention the second time, just to power on past to the kitchen and have a conversation with the kitchen staff.

After no interaction from our server for over 20 minutes since we've were seated, and being blatantly ignored, we called the rest of our group and made plans to eat across the street instead. Abosultely insane to have such lackluster service when the severs outnumbered the tables.

I can't speak to the quality of the food, since we never even made it that far. We'd have loved to have tried it, if we could've manage to have our order taken.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, and food is always great! The Gin and Tonics are the best. This is by far my favourite location.
