Sobeys Timberlea

Limited selection of the most basic needs, although it is in a convenient location. Wasn't sure if they were closing but I guess they were in power saving mode. Probably want you to think it's for the environment but clearly it was for the shareholders, in store prices reflect the shareholders tight grip on the brands balls as well.

Just stopped in while driving the work truck for a quick snack. First impressions of the store were great, and the hot, ready, or cold ready meals sections was large and attractive with lots of options

Nice new Sobeys, at first it appears yo be confusing, the layout actually leads you through the store in an ordered fashion.

Smallish local Sobeys with a gas bar that is very convenient to the BLT community. Staff at this store are very friendly and helpful - even running to getting something I mentioned I forgot while at self-checkout; offering alternative ideas with less expensive items. They assist a number of community agencies by hosting food bank dropboxes, however the merger into one large dropbox frustrated me as it limited my focus to provide to a particular agency, thus are losing a star for that. The store is very clean and staff in all departments, including the outside cart workers, appear competent and proud of their work. Nearby ammenities include a NSLC, Dollarama and a BMO bank machine within the Sobeys. I've even heard that people from larger nearby communities (Tantallon, Clayton Park) prefer this smaller store to their own. Keep up the excellent service!

Almost never go to Sobeys unless absolutely necessary. Only things that are price locked or on sale are affordable at Sobeys. Everyone in Timberlea that I know, shop at other places unless they need to immediately get something that is missing. Over the years I've not bought meat or chicken at Sobeys once.

Self-checkouts have been atrocious. I’ve had very few issues at other grocery chains, but the self checkouts at this location are too sensitive to items being picked up or removing bags from the area. I keep having to indicate that I removed the bag. If I accidentally lay something back down, it requests assistance from an associate to do a bag check. They obviously know there is an issue because they just reset it remotely, not bothering to check anything.

Clean. Workers socialize which is fine but it's hard to get their attention when you need assistance

I never find the cashiers ever friendly. Theres very few that are friendly. Lately, I've noticed that the cashier's now wear sweatpants. It's not a good look for a company. I worked for Sobeys previously and did front end myself. Not only that, the majority of them sit there and text even when you're standing there to be helped. Sobeys in Timberlea needs to do better. Brenda on the other hand is lovely! It's pretty bad when half the cashier's stand there and text. When I worked for Sobeys, we weren't allowed to have our phones on cash at all.

It is quite asthecallt pleasing and the gorcers are all well maintained espeacially the basil and cilatro

Just out the highway a few minutes but far enough to get rid of that bayers lake mess. Nice store friendly staff and now with a gass station and Dollar store.

Quiet, friendly, just requires a bit more variety in the international food section and it would be perfect.

It's convenient, but prices are higher than nearby locations. Check your expiry dates, too

Posted hours are wrong and they don't open until 9am not 8am. I can't say I've ever seen a sobeys open so late. Convenient location but hours not so much

Everywhere online it says sobeys was open on Easter Sunday, but turns out it's not when you show up. Not great customer service, thumbs down.

Very friendly staff and new convenient location. They have everything that we need I no longer have to travel far to get the items I need daily.

This is by far the absolute best Sobeys around! Best of any supermarket actually. Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly. I love going there. Today’s helpful employee was Michelle at cash. Best in making sure deals go in properly and packing our bags. Playful and I feel like we’re friends. Outstanding!

THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS BEST! First time there, I was unfamiliar with the layout and couldn’t find certain items. Multiple staff were super helpful & friendly. Clean and bright store. I will definitely be returning!

Great store. Staff is super nice, everything is clean and very well laid out. Most of the time sobeys aren't laid out great but this one was super easy to find everything I needed. I had to ask the staff a few things but they were knowledgable and nice.

This store is immaculately clean, bright, and with an easy flow layout, which all compliment your shopping experience. The washroom was disgusting, but that is from the people that use them, can't aim, men who won't put the toilet seat up first, and then can't be bothered flushing. Not the store's fault, but perhaps they should be checked and cleaned more often than the blank page for the day indicated at 2pm. The store however, and the staff, are proud examples of the fine Sobeys and Empire Group ambassadors to the brand image. Bravo!

So I came in to Timberlea Sobeys at the last minute looking for an image on a cake.

Cassie Smith and Erin the Bakery Manager sorted my request that is normally 24 hours out. They saved me! Lol

Even the store manager Jay Allen came down to check on things.

Easily my favourite Sobeys. Never too busy, great chance they have everything I go for, and the checkout team usually makes me smile.

Quick service, friendly helpful staff, well stocked and uncluttered clean aisles/store. Beautiful place to shop. Love that you can still depend on them supporting our local farmers!

Popped in for a couple things, needed help finding something and got great service. Cashier was efficient and nice as well.

This is a good Sobeys for truck drivers there is a side road connected to the property you can just walk over. I was able to park my tractor-trailer there and once you're inside Sobeys is a great place to shop

Love this Sobeys, just wish their was a bus from Glengarry to there. Would make life a whole lot easier.

It is a good store but I was looking good for something to eat for lunch although they have lots of options, I couldn't find anything I wanted.

Best supermarket in Timberlea NS expensive a bit but very clean and well organised with a very professional staff

Conveniently located just off of route 103, exit 3, on Timberlea Parkway. I will definitely keep going to this location.
