Your Independent Grocer Main Street

I appreciate Carl's Independent in Wolfville so much. Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful and clearly very hardworking. They carry an excellent selection of products given how small the store is. It's easy to zip in and grab a few things quickly but it also supports my household shopping needs. On a few occasions they've been able to start carrying new products that I've requested and I think that's pretty cool as I'm not sure it would have happened at the bigger stores.

Very friendly staff. Great prices on everything. Lots of parking. New cards with drink holders!

One of my favorite grocery stores, staff here are so friendly and helpful. Usually good sales here. The one and only drawback is scarcity of parking.

Great spot in wolfville to go shopping they have local produce and its right in the middle of town too! Close to everything and has everything you need grocery wise, highly recommended

Great lunch spot if you decide to grab deli stuff - avoid the chicken tenders & tators at all costs! They’re undercooked & are disgusting.

Just an all around garbage store. Selection is terrible, 9 times out of 10 they’re sold out of everything. On average there is around 6-7 employees working with one cash open with a broken belt so everyone has to wait. Prices are horrid compared to new Minas. Despite it being the same company. Even the PC optimum points are lower at this store than others. I genuinely hate shopping here which feels like such a weird thing to say since it’s a grocery store and who really cares. But it’s absolutely dust.

Working in Wolfville since 2016, I have enjoyed Carl's Independent as a good location to purchase a quick lunch. Quick being the key term. In my last last lunch visit, I was ushered to the end of a long line by an unoccupied cashier. Realizing I did not have time to wait in line, I returned my intended purchases to their respective shelves. Trying to leave the store empty handed, I found my way blocked by an obstacle course of racks obstructing the unserviced check-out counters. Carl's if you cannot serve customers in a timely fashion, please allow them to leave empty handed. ~Hangry in Wolfville.

The stock at the store is so very which is amazing if you're looking for cultural diversity, or sensitivities. Love shopping here!

Their meals to go wedges are terrible, have got them a few times the last month and every time they are slime, they really need to cook them a little longer

Arrogant staff. When asked if they had put my PC optimum points card through they said yes, but it never went through! Produce tends to be very, very poor and nearly ready for the rubbish bin! The only thing this supermarket has is convenience. Very rude staff, try to avoid if possible and go elsewhere for a more enjoyable shopping experience!

All groceries are high quality and anything that's on its way out is discounted 50% off to allow savings. Would be nice if prices were competitive with grocery stores in New Minas and aren't reflective of it being the only grocery store in town.

Always good deals, well stocked store. The cash area can feel a bit claustrophobic. However, this is due to the efficient use of space for ample product choice within a small "downtown" grocery store.
