My dog was very nervous since it was his first time. The groomer was not gentle and he felt it! Never going back

Great place to bring your pets! Staff here are so sweet and patient with my puppy, and always so friendly! I wasn’t sure what sort of dog food or treats to go with for my puppy and they were making recommendations on what is good. The groomer is excellent too & will definitely be coming back because of the service!

We’ve been shopping here since we adopted our dog and we absolutely love it! The staff are all super welcoming and knowledgeable. They are very willing to share advice and recommendations but are never pushy about selling anything. We also bring our dog here for grooming and they’re super accommodating to her little quirks. If you have a pet, you should definitely shop here and bring your dog by for a little treat ️

We love shopping at the north Oakville location for a little girl Ellie, the staff is always friendly and have so much knowledge of the products they carry and how it will best fit in our pups life.

Called me 15 mins before my dogs grooming appointment to cancel, and said they couldn't reschedule for 6 weeks. Completely unacceptable customer service.

Amazing, friendly, helpful staff. Just had an issue and concern with a food brand I’ve been using for years and the owners offered to contact the company on my behalf and also gave me a discount on my next purchase. Wonderful store!

Absolutely amazing service from the owners/team here. The care they have for animals is apparent and will not steer you in the wrong direction. They curate and stock only the best brands and items for your loved family member.

This is THE BEST pet store in town. We have been buying things for our dog (Leo) and cat (Kairo) from different places before but after we have met KJ and his staff, this is going to be our pet "hot spot" going forward. Selection of product is incredible. Staff and the owner are super friendly and knowledgeable. Keep up the good work guys. Leo and Kairo are your new best customers for good!

Every time I shop here, I leave with an amazing experience. The shop owners spend so much individual time with me and inquire about my needs. They give me enough space to browse on my own, but also offer me one-on-one time and answer all of my questions. The show genuine interest in the needs of my dog and try to find products that will be the best for her. They also offer free samples which I really appreciate. Because of their samples of Open Farm, I have found a food that my dog loves and can digest properly. I will never go to another store because I feel like each customer and dog deserves the care and attention given by a store like Bark and Fitz.

Excellent staff. Very helpful and kind. They really know their animal products well. Lots of inventory. They need canine omega oil from Utopia Hemp Company, an Ontario product.

Everything you need for your pet. Got dog's nails done dogs felt comfortable and a very reasonable price. Tons of different foods and treats, all round great place

We get our two terriers groomed here. They always do a fantastic job, never any issues and fast service. We also get our raw dog food here, the supply is always available.

My mastiff and I always have such a fabulous time visiting this location! The staff is fantastic and super friendly! Not to mention, my dog who is terrified of nail trimming, is so appreciative of Justine’s gentle touch! This is a must stop for any pet lover! Especially with Christmas right around the corner!

Best specialized pet store. Amazing friendly and knowledgeable staff. The grooming salon is always booked but that's because they do great work. Highly recommend KJ and his staff.

WARNING! THINK TWICE ABOUT TAKING YOUR BELOVED PET HERE.
I took my pappilion/pomeranian mix dog in for a grooming appt. Discussed clearly with the groomer to simply tidy up the extra fluff, do not shave her. She showed me the bit of extra fluff that she would trim.
We agreed, and I left our sweet little girl, who was already nervous, in the hands of what I was led to believe was a qualified groomer.
When I went to pick up my dog, she was no longer looking like her breed at all! Instead, I got a dog that now looked like a Sheba. I was devastated as was my son and could not believe how closely "cut? " our little dog was. Or did she shave her. What a mess.
They groom doodles and poodles quite well but Justine had not a clue on how to do a Papillon/Pomeranian mix of dog.
Instead of owning her error, she argued about the initial agreement and that she was right and then became flippant and rude whilst the owner witnessed the conversation.
My son and I were appalled at the behavior and extremely disappointed in the service.
The owner's question of how could he make it right was laughable.
Seriously, what are you going to do.glue the clippings back on the dog? There is no righting such a horrendous grooming or the flippant interaction of the groomer with us, the paying customer.
The owner, is a very nice gentleman and felt bad but there is nothing you can do when too much is cut. A wise groomer would be safe in under trimming so that is easier to remedy than being scissor happy and cutting too much. The owner insisted on discounting the bill by 50% even though I told him I would honor my bill. I explained that I would rather he had posters up for groomers to look at each breed to know what the breed looks like when groomed.
Perhaps there is a digital screen program that would be of help to these grooming places to help the groomers.simply click on the breed and it pops up on a screen in the grooming room. There has to be an entrepreneur out there to market this type of service to pet grooming shops.
Bark and Fritz gets a DNR. DO NOT RETURN!
Again, the owner is a conscientious person and was sorry for the mess. The groomer needs a course in customer service.

Grooming services are second to no one! Justine is the best dog groomer I've ever come across. Proffessional groomng at it's best.

The staff at this pet shop are always very helpful and inviting. Justine has been grooming my Bernese mountain dog Loki since he was a puppy and I would not trust anyone else with my boy. Would recommend this place over and over again.

I used to go here for everything from grooming to shopping for my dogs clothes, food and treats. I stopped going when I came to pick up my dog like 4 hours later and she's 7 pounds! So I don't no why she would took so long. Anyways I went to pick her up and I think it was previous management and the groomer were in the back outside smoking. I had to wait 20 mins or so bc no one else was in the store to get my dog which had already been there for about 4 hours! I immediately stopped going. Never went back. Horrible experience.and no this is not a fake account. And yes this actually happened. Thus why I stopped going.
