Brantford train station - VIA Rail

Went into the station for the first time in years, forgot how beautiful it is
We are very lucky to have such a wonderful old station in Brantford
The gentleman who helped me with my ticket purchase was lovely too.
Might have to take the train more often!

Currently under renos, the 4 stars are for Jeremy, the via rail rep that was very helpful! More seating outside would be nice

It’s a nice old building but there’s nothing in it for while you’re waiting. It feels more like a funeral home waiting for someone to die. At least put a coffee shop or something in there.

Going through major construction project around station. Very little parking. Washrooms were ok in main bldg. Convenient to university etc. Walking distance to my relatives.

Give Me the strength via rail has some of the rudest crabby people working for them. Not only does no one want to work there. These people make you feel like your inconvenience inconvenience them. Girl Let me tell you this one lady almost rose my blood pressure. The passengers are irritating and they don't hide it. Honey we all have to work at least put a smile on. This is the second time my butter cup butt has been one this train and both times they fell short. Please hire some nice people that don't mind helping.

It was my first time ever taking one of the trains and the staff I had talked to were more than happy to help and went above and beyond with assisting me. I want to say a huge thank you to Jeffrey and Garrett for the help with bokking the train and I look forward to using this business again!

Cute little train station with bathrooms and vending machines. The building appears quite old but well-maintained.

Ignoring the current state of VIA as a business, no complaints about this station. Straight forward single platform affair with affordable day parking.

So, I go here quite frequently to do some railfanning and it is a very good local train station, with lots of different places to stand around and great service. The only con is that wearing a mask is required in the station. Other than that it's a very good place to watch if you live in Brantford and for sure everyone should check it out.

Went to buy a VIA ticket with my son on October 3rd at 5pm approx. We waited 15 minutes while THE ONE grubby looking male customer in front of us repeatedly berated the VIA employee. Not sure why.

But which included making threats of violence, smashing the window etc.

The male VIA employee was very patient and polite but should have called police and told him to step aside so that other customers could be served.

We left and ordered a ticket online. One has to wonder about public safety at this station.

Clean. Good location. Wish there was a place to grab a coffee and snack at or near the station.

This place is a beautiful 100+ year old train station that suits my needs for using VIA Rail to see my parents in Brantford. While it does not have all the preferred amenities like access to the far tracks for boarding a concurrent train, it is good enough for an unappreciated transportation system that is a greener alternative to cars or planes.

They are always late, expensive and recently have reduced the frequency of the trains that go to Toronto

Rural ontario is damn boring though. Can you believe people have no other distraction than coming there to watch the trains pass?

I actually didn't take a train here but just came with my son to check out the trains going by. Nice architecture and lots of trains, was a fun experience for both of us.

This is a very historic train station. I loved the details and lights.
Staff here are friendly and very helpful.

Booked the wrong date online for my ticket and rather then pay any fees to change it the nice lady took care of the issue in less than 5 minutes and even had them hold the train for a extra 2 minutes so I could board it. This is great customer service thank you

Out of all my years in hotel business the person whos name the room is under has right away.my ex attacked me that i paid room for n he put security deposit which fyi he gets back. But i paid for room in my name.but all good im in hospitak n my ex is staying in my room

A welcoming sight after a disturbing emergency situation.being trapped at the Montreal station for 2 days. I am always treated with respect and dignity at the Brantford train station and Via rail in general.

Really stupid to close the station when we have tickets cant get in out of the cold weather and snow.

My grandson and had never been here before, so we took a little day trip. He absolutely loved the train ride, and I enjoyed the hospitality of the staff.

Super friendly and excellent service. My train was delayed and she went over the top to make sure I was comfortable while i waited. Again, thank you for the excellent service.

This was the most realistic vintage train station I have ever seen! There was live music in the cafe and a gorgeous waiting area for the trains. This location is a must see when one travels to or through Brantford, Ontario.

It's a train station. Clean. Nothing spectacular about it. TV's to help kill time while you wait.

I will always enjoy the historical feeling of this station. The service is always on and friendly. Who doesn't enjoy a good train ride or even picking up or seeing someone off. Respect!

Unless your catching the train to Montreal on a Thursday nite is really never all that exciting of a trip.

Beautiful building. Friendly staff. Love tsking the train. The CSRs on the phone are always pleasant.

It’s charming and for what it is it’s pretty nice. You can see how grand it was back in the day. Now it’s got no purpose other than being a stop. No shop or restaurant or even a nice indoor waiting area.
Served by VIA rail only on the rail side. If at least the trains were on time

Came here for advice and booking tickets for me and my son to return from Montreal and I believe her name was Leah was super helpful and professional! She answered all our questions and really explained things clearly to me which is helpful for this first time mom traveling with her baby! Thanks for your help and great customer service.

Have only stoped by on the train but the building looks very nice and historic and has helping staff on site!

Waited for staff to come out from the back by calling out through the little window. Being downtown, a vagrant could easily reach through and clean out the cash register. Lady was polite but a little daft with what I was explaining to her and had to repeat it four times what I wanted. Asked for no identification. Got my ticket and enjoyed my trip.

I wish I remembered the woman name who helped me today. She went above and beyond to help me after I had gotten on the wrong train. She was able to give me a credit of my money back even though I ordered through a third party, offered to get a cab back to my city on the companies expense and was very friendly and personable. She was working Friday September 14th evening, I hope this gets back to her or the company. I really appreciated all the help today.
