Captain Mike's Fish and Chips

Only giving 2 stars because the food is good, but this place is pricey for the portions and they charge extra for tartar sauce packets lol. Check your receipts, they charge more than the posted prices.

I like this place. It's a basic fish n chips shop, nothing fancy, but the food is consistently good, and the service is good.

Preordered for Good Friday, the fish was half the size as they use to be. A complete rip off. Will not be back ever. The pics on other reviews showcase the size of the fish, what we received was less than half. For 7 pcs of fish and chips it barely was enough for 3 people not 6.

No complaints about the food, it was very good but we pre-ordered for 6: 20 and was there 15 minutes early like they requested but didn't get our food until 6: 50, people that didn't pre-order were getting their food quicker, Not impressed with the service at all

Our first time ordering from here. The service was good and very well organized for a Good Friday.
The fish was delicious. The batter was light and crisp. I would have gave 5 stars had our orders would have had an ample amount of fries all 3 orders were a little light on fries. Otherwise very good!

Good Friday called days ahead to pre-order to avoid waiting. Told to be there 15 minutes early and would be directed in line for our order time. Get there to find out they are allowing walk-ins ahead of people with timed pickups. So this turned into 45 minutes with my 15 minute early arrival and extended time waiting with all of the walkins being allowed infront of timed orders. Don’t advertise to call ahead and preorder if you’re not going to honour that pickup system!

After moving from Mississauga over a year ago this is the best fish and chips I ate in town. This restaurant also offers halal chicken platters.
Fillets with mouth-watering batter had a light, crispy texture, providing a perfect harmony of soft and crunchy . I recommend trying all types since each fish had a unique taste whether it be Cod, Haddock or Halibut.

First time trying this place - Ordered 2 fish and chips but was very underwhelming. Received 2 pieces of fish that were rather small and barely any fries. Coleslaw was average as well. For what I spent, it definitely wasn’t worth it.

We ordered Halibut and Haddock Fish and really enjoyed it! Their food is fresh, best quality and very nice customer service! Definitely coming again!

I've eaten here often. They do a fine halibut and chips. The batter is firm and doesn't call off. Fries are nice and crisp. I get the additional coleslaw and drink. Pricing is good too

My husband & I tried Mike's today & loved it. We had a hamburger, which we shared, & the lady even cut it in half for us without even asking. The burger was homemade & delicious & not salty like some burgers can be plus it was Halal.
We did tell her we were going to share it. It was so nice of her.
We ordered the 2 piece halibut & chips to go & they were amazing. Best fish & chips ever. Batter was light & not greasy & fries were also good.

The fish and chips are excellent. Always a generous portion and a warm and friendly hello from staff upon arrival. Fantastic service and definitely one of the best fish and chip places in the area.
