Captain Sammys Fish & Chips

Just went there to get some food. I have a service dog and they would not let me go on their deck to order food. Said it was against health code. Seems strange that I can take her into a restaurant but can’t bring her up to the window of a food truck to order my food. Won’t ever stop there again. Not to mention, it’s against the law

Captain Sammys Fish & Chips has one of the best fish and chips. Everything here is fresh and hot. The fish is delicious. The portions are pretty generous. They deliver food quiet fast. You need to order in the shop and pay at another counter few steps away.

It was good, but first time having bones in fish and chips. Both the pickerel and white fish, had to pick out bones while we ate. Patio area isn't dog friendly either, so we ate in the truck with them. Location is busy, avoid turning left in our out of there if it's cottage country traffic season.

Tastes good and good price. Large size is 2 pcs and enough fries for 2 ppl. Split between 2 ppl or huge meal for 1 is worth it.

This is my favourite Chip Truck to stop at on my way to Northern Ontario. I prefer this Chip Truck because the fries are the BEST. The Fish n Chips is excellent. It’s usually locally caught fish.

There are picnic tables and muskoka chairs to sit and eat your food.

*** The Chip Truck across the street is open year-round. Imo, the food at the seasonal truck is better.

Good size pieces of pickerel excellent batter, fries are cooked perfectly, tartar sauce made just right and yummy slaw. Are go to fish place!

Soooo disappointed, just arrived after a 4 hour drive and a plan to pick up fish n chips for a birthday party on the pier. Closed at least 45 mins earlier than posted. Cars keep pulling in, they lost some good biz tonight! Next time we'll eat in Parry Sound to be sure!

Food is good, but not as good as fish and chips in Alban. This place is also pretty expensive for what you get. The worst thing about this place is the service. I have visited twice now on two separate years, and both times they are downright rude and unfriendly. Yes I want a second knife and fork to share a large $30 fish and chips, so get over it. Also, try saying “thank you” when your customers pay instead of slamming the window in their face. Some friendliness would definitely not hurt.

Hands down, it's one of the best fish and chips in ontario! They are generous with their portions. My husband and I can't even finish the large size! It was so delicious we even came back to take back home. Store is not hard to find, it's just in front of Shell by 400 N.

We stopped here on our way to Sault Ste. Marie, primarily because the rating where amazing and there were very few options nearby. We ordered a large Haddock with came with a huge portion of fries and 2 large pieces of fish. It was absolutely amazing, the fish was fresh & crisp with perfect amount of seasoning in the batter. The tartar sauce was one of the best we ever had and the coleslaw had the right balance of sweetness and creaminess. The fries didn’t disappoint as well. Definitely recommend!

P. S.it’s a take out place with a few benches outside!

Enjoyed hand battered Haddock and upgraded hand cut fries to poutine. I underestimated based on it being a small hut which you order then pay for it at the fish shop few steps away and was pleasantly surprised. I wish I took a pic but was too hungry at the time.
