Fish is smaller than it was when we started going to this restaurant. Taste is still great and service was great thanks to Robyn. She’s very friendly and attentive. We love going here not just for the food but, because you feel welcomed.

Fantastic place with fantastic service. My only complaint, and its gonna seem strange, is that the portions are too big. You could split a Haddock and Chips beteen 2 starving adults. Other than that, this place is great

We are regulars here and this is undoubtedly the best Fish and Chips I have had in Ontario.the staff is so warm and lovely.especially Robin! A big shout out to her! We would definitely recommend this place for Fish and Chips lovers!

That's what I posted 4 years ago, today I went there after pandemic and ordered the same thing, they said they can't grill fish or even pan fried. The waitress was arguing with me, the last was ordering me to leave! How could a restaurant has such impolite stuff? Beware of being kick out of the restaurant

Delicious fish and chips. Plump and crispy. Not greasy! And really good homemade ice cream. A lovely experience.

Their serving is out of this world, I have never been overwhelmed by fries until I got defeated by the servings at C+M. The halibut was not great, maybe not enough fat in it as it was a bit rough. Server explained that recent deliveries of the filet has been much smaller than before. Looking forward to try the Orange Roughy next time and see if it would be better.

Very nice and authentic British atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the waitress was very nice and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Cod and halibut are my fav. The fish cakes are great too.

The portions are generous.almost too generous. If I eat the whole plate, I don't have have room for their homemade ice cream, which is amazing.

I wish I could rate the food but I never got the chance to taste it.

Came in mid afternoon on a Saturday and the restaurant was not busy. We were seated and waited to be served but no staff acknowledged our presence. Waited over 10 minutes and no one came so we decided we would take our business elsewhere.

We were spending a day in New Market and while walking along the main Street, we came across this restaurant. We noticed that there was a discount menu for senior and so we walked in to try out. The waitress who served us was exceptional. We felt the warmth immediately. One thing that surprised me was that the fish and chips were served with imported malt vinegar. I remembered when I was in the UK ordering F+C in London, I have to asked specifically for the vinegar. So, that tradition was lost in the UK.

The portions were large for senior like us. My daughter ordered a burger and she said it is the best she have had so far

The 'Codwich' is the best fishburger I've ever tasted and one of the best burgers I've had overall. They pull no punches with the chips too. Fast, attentive service and laidback vibes.

We love eating here. Always a great meal. Lots of food for $. Nice severs and great service.

Great fishn' chips- comparable to what we have had in England Always been welcomed with a warm heart and smile, like you were visiting a friend at their home. Check the prices for seniors. These portions are also large! To accommodate my wife's food allergies, they grill her fish. We have the Brighton salad to sub fries. It's always fresh, healthy, and delicious!

Excellent restaurant for fish and chips. Good portions and service. Friendly staff. The staff member serving us was very pleasant. The food they served was tasty.

Been coming here for years. Took my buddy as he heard me rave about the fish and chips. Boy were we disappointed. The fries were like warm, my fish looked like a tail it was that small. In hindsight i should have said some to Robin (waitress) but didnt. I know I wont go back sadly, and my buddy sure ont saying " very disappointed)

Food is pretty good. Fish & chips plates are very generous for the price. Chips may not be to everyone's taste as they are a bit too much fried to my own taste but still pretty good. Atmosphere is nice and clean, a bit loud though.

Went for the first time. I used to say all fish n chips taste the same no matter the place and the hype they have until I tried Chip + Malt. We ordered halibut and pollock with chips and a side gravy. We also bought an extra piece of pollock to share. Very large serving of chips and the fish size was more than enough. Price range is great. It's a must try. By far the best fish n chips I've had from restaurants between Toronto and Newmarket. I highly recommend!

I went in for an early dinner today and had such an amazing time! Our lovely waitress Robin was so incredibly friendly and created such a wonderful environment:) the food was also fantastic! Will definitely be coming back, both for the food and the service

Fish & chips are fantastic! Moist and crispy but not the calamari (little bit hard and rubby). Server Robyn was very nice, accomodating, and friendly. Also, they greeted us when we came in and say bye even though they are on the phone. Our visit was fantastic! Best fish & chips in town.
