Great service but food is absolutely terrible. Hard fries, tough fish, the oil in the fryer had been in there too long. Would not eat here.

Old school fish and chips joint. Nice, lightly battered fish. Good cut on site french fries. Recommend the vinegar coleslaw.

Very small portions for the price. Fish batter seemed soggy and so were the fries. Have given this place a 5 stars for years, but guess they do not care anymore.

What a fabulous place. They have daily Jumbo Dinner specials, huge portions. This was enough for two of us. Selection of Halibut, Haddock, shrimp, even Mushy Peas on the menu. The food was delish! This is a TRUE Fish & Chip spot, not a chain. They offer dine in take out. I'm not sure about ubereats or the others. The ladies who run the place are it even better. This is a definite go to. Prices are reasonable, no more than anywhere else.quality is best. Thank you, Ladies for a great dinner

I don't think I will go back. The fish was nice but I can get larger portions elsewhere and homemade coleslaw is included at the other place too. The fries were bland and the two packs of vinegar did nothing to add to the taste. Even the tartar sauce was from a packet. I remain unimpressed.

Clarkson Fish & Chips has become the only fish and chips in the Clarkson area that I trust.

The location itself is always a full house in certain hours of the day which speaks volumes on local ratings of the place. Also the pricing is very reasonable compared to other competitors by a mile! Staff are always friendly, talkative, and welcoming.

The fish itself is always made fresh and not super oily which is a plus from most fish and chips we have consumed. Just a claustrophobic feeling when waiting in line when busy.

Would recommend, but look to come in on non-peak hours unless you're okay with waiting 30+ minutes!

Picked up fish and chips on Good Friday.

Happy with the meal, quality fish pieces and well made fries. Portions were decent, but the cost of halibut was apparent. $18 for a piece of halibut and chips, with $14 for an additional piece.

One of the few fish and chip restaurants in the area (Park Royal Fish and Chips seems to have odd hours), so the wait was considerable. Approximately an hour and a half wait, no chance to pre-order over the phone.

Will visit again when it isn't their busy day. Menu is straightforward, fish (halibut, haddock, cod) with some other options you'd expect (fries, onion rings, chicken fingers, etc).

The fish and chips are one of the best out there. The place is not about the ambiance, it's about the food.

Fish and chips were ok. Not the best, not the worst. Gravy was pretty bad. A tad on the expensive side for what you get.

Disappointing. I read the very positive reviews and wanted to give this place a try. Food was greasy, not well seasoned and quite small portion for fish and chips for the price which was nearly $20 per meal. Perhaps lower quality as it was takeout not dine in.

We are new to the neighborhood and decided to try this place tonight. It did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious, my kids devoured it. The service was amazing and the lady who served us was pleasant and welcoming. She gave us a free coleslaw because it was our first time there. We will definitely be back. Amazing services!

We come from Meadowvale for the fish and chips here, only place we buy. The best fish and chips. The coleslaw is great as well.

Had a take out the other night. Since it's been a long time we had fish and chips we enjoyed the meal. The portion size was good, and so was the halibut. The fries were greasy and stale. The coleslaw, both the creamy the vinegar were amazing.

Friendly staff but the establishment is very dirty, and all you smell is old dirty grease. There are much better fish and chips in the area just thought I would give this one a try

Great Fish and chips, $15 for fish and chips Haddock. Halibut is more. Good service and worth the price. And walking distance for me.

This is not a review of the food - if you are looking for that you can stop reading now. This review is regarding the horrible tone and attitude I received while attempting to place an order over the phone. The woman I was speaking to is in no way fit to interact with any customer. From the moment she picked up, she was, for absolutely no reason at all, extremely impatient and spoke in a downright irritated manner. From the other reviews I have been reading about this place, this is to be expected of her. Due to the pandemic, I have been trying to support local businesses, but I will be placing my orders elsewhere. You cannot help someone that does not want to be helped to begin with.

Ate here back in Feb. 2020. Fish was light and crispy, fries were perfect golden brown, and portion size was great.

Much recommended!

Fish n chips was OK though.

Well, that was disappointing. I've never been here before and can say never will be again. The Halibut was tough and not sure that it was even cooked. The chips were dry and nothing but chiplets. That was an expensive experience that went straight to the garbage

At the first moment you arrive in this place the waiters give you a nice feeling. Very comfortable stuff, it is a kind place to hang out with buddies or with your date. Great cuisine, professional chief cook and stuff, honest cost and attentive service. Warmly recommended.

This is the best fish and chip place in Mississauga! We had the halibut and chips and they were absolutely delicious! They are a great size and come with a lot of tasty fries. The coleslaw was so good too! It's a creamy slaw that's perfectly dressed and goes great with the fish and chips. The food was so good that we ate it all so quick and forgot to take pictures

It's about a 25 minute drive for me to come here but it's worth the trip! I plan on trying their other menu items and will update my review.

I enjoyed my halibut and chips in a friendly atmosphere, "I'll be with you in a few minutes, Honey. " Most of the patrons seem to locals on their weekly visit.

Was very disappointed today. Hadn't been for ages. Chips dry and tasteless, fish ok.
Even though I hadn't been there for a long time the greeting was very cold as the staff was eating their dinner in an otherwise empty restaurant.
Don't think I'll go back.

Was looking for places close to work and this one had a surprisingly high rating with over 120 reviews.figured worth a shot. Got the large halibut and chips w small gravy. The fish was excellent cooked perfect and not greasy.was so good. The chips were good too not over or under done and the gravy was pretty good also (a small will cover a personal order if you pour over) the ladies there were awesome and friendly as well. Would definitely recommend and will be ba k again for sure.

Would give 5 stars if my order had a little more fish. Was here once. I got halibut and fries. It was fantastic. Just the right amount of batter. Cooked properly. I will definitely go back.

Best fish 'n chips in Mississauga! Service was great and the place was very decent and clean. The portions are generous and the batter on the fish wasn't greasy.

I am leaving this review as a heads up. I am not judging the food quality.

Because this restaurant only uses one frier, this means that their chicken is mixed with the same oil and particles as the fish, as well as the fries. This means that even if you purchase something like fries, it will be "contaminated" by chicken. Let's say that you were a vegetarian. Or course, one would think that fries are perfectly vegetarian. But guess what? Not if they are mixed with non vegetarian foods! And lets say you were a Muslim. You could no longer purchase good old fish and chips, as the oil would now be contaminated by chicken.

Again, this "review" is only a heads up, which is why Im leaving a neutral star rating.

The fish and chips are good stuff. However the parking leaves a lot to be desired even when the lot is not cut down with snow banks.

Went there with my parents for lunch today. They are Scottish and quite fussy about their fish and chips. All of us enjoyed lunch and the friendly service. Will be back!

Been going to this place for more than 30 years. Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Staff is always courteous and friendly.

The ladies here treat you like family, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Real people, real food, and real service! Prices are very reasonable. Small simple menu, lots of drink choices, and the best cooked fish around!
