Very clean establishment with delicious food. I got traditional fish and chips for my family.

Fried mushrooms are the best. French fries tasted like they were re fried. Fish was delicious but again the batter tasted a bit refried. I will go back as this is one of the best places to get fried fish and chips. The service was very friendly and helpful

The fish and chips weren’t great honestly, really over cooked (might have just been a bad day) but the battered mushrooms slapped. I’d go back for those alone

Today is Good Friday and the place was very busy, although I am not sure why. It was very disorganized and those who dined- in we extremely neglected. Besides the horrible service, the food was bad. The Halibut fish was coated in loads of batter and was burnt making the fish taste like rocks. The fries were also very stale. If you want to spend over 40$ for two people and have bad fish, this is the place. I recommend that you save your time and do not come here.

Filled with oil and grease. They didn’t really let it drain. Batter was half burnt, fries over cooked. Worse part is the oily batter that’s never drained. Price is way too high for the cat size fish you get

Staff was friendly. Food was good. Had fish and chips and mozzarella sticks. $50 total for two people Small dining area. A long established part of port credit. Offers takeout. EDIT: The restaurant could use some updating, but is still worth a visit if you are in the mood for classic fish & chips.

I used to order once a week I asked for extra tartar sauce, I did not receive any never had a problem like this before when I ordered. So I called the restaurant and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and told me that tartar sauce did not come with meal. Have never ordered again. I work in the service industry.

I have been attending Country F and C for many years, and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal there. The current owner, Henry, runs a nice clean place with wonderful staff. This was also the case when his father and mother used to run the store. I have sent many family and friends there over the years, and have converted many of them to be repeat customers. We drive in from Niagara Region just to enjoy the fish n chips, as well as the beef croquets. Drop in, you will not be dissappointed.

There are dew places which do fish &chips as well. The fish isn't par-cooked, making it perfectly fresh and the batter is crispy- not soggy and/or greasy! The dining room is small, but comfortable. This allows the serer/cashier/bus lady to concentrate on customers. They also do a brisk take-out business, too.

I wish the young lady's attitude was as half as good at the fish. Fish was amazing. Portions were great. Flavour is consistent but so is the terrible service from the lady behind the counter.

Rude lady behind the counter, weird dine in rules irrelevant to covid, extra oily fish fried in old oil. Avoid. - I am certain this is the right place. I hope you realize people can review places on all days:)

Yeah.you'll be back for sure. This place is the real McCoy of Fish and Chips. Perfect light batter packed with flavor, you cannot ask for more. Honestly, I feel like I'm a friend of the family every single time I visit. Yup, that's how welcoming this place is.

Its a lil bit pricey but worth to give a try, the breading taste really good n its not that oily, but the fish itself might be a bit overcooked. Coleslaws and onion chips are really tasty btw.

Excellent fish and chips. Had the halibut and chips. The fish was large and the breading was nice and crispy. The fries were also crispy and cooked perfectly.

Great fish and chips. Had the haddock and chips, and found it delicious. Not too greasy with hearty portions. The indoor decor feot very classic and minimal- homey. Takeaway was easy and the person who greeted us at the register was very kind. Food was ready in less than ten minutes, which was amazing. I do not live too close, but I would go back again.

I'm upgrading my rating. This is the go-to spot for fish and chips in port credit. Just ate there again after being away a while. The paddock.was cooked perfectly. The batter was tasty, crispy.and not.greasy at all. This was fish and chips at its finest.

Ordered through Skip. Fries, gravy, coleslaw were good. The haddock was not good. Initially thought it looked ok, but immediately realized there was very little fish and a ton of batter. Literally broke off massive pieces of only batter looking for fish. Expected better, especially based on photos from other reviewers here.

We were so surprised to find this gem in Port Credit - and to find out it’s been here for 50 years. We got the fish (halibut) & chips - batter was light, flavour was delicious, chips were perfect. The dishes came wrapped in paper and everything from the presentation to the flavour was exactly like the last fish & chips we had while in London. Restaurant was bright and clean, and the batter tasted like the oil was fresh. Highly recommend!

Best fish and chips place in the area. Cute indoor dining (which I miss) I gave it four because I think the chips could be better.
Last time I went it in Feb was really busy which says a lot. Hope to see you soon!

Went there yesterday for a poutine and some chicken fingers live the fries! Serve a handful of fries with the fingers would make it worth it

Reminds me of high school and the local corner shop. Fatty and crispy, but I miss the Australian touch of chicken salt on the chips.

Great little shop, coleslaw is fresh and fish is battered fresh to order.

We keep searching for better, but every other fish fry falls short. Hands down, Country Fish and Chips is the best.

The food is really good but I hate when the man preparing the fish uses his bare hands while snacking on the fries and then licking his fingers. I watched him casually do this and thought it was absolutely disgusting. I won’t be returning again. This is a serious health hazard.

Arguably the best Fish and Chip place in all of GTA. Ran by two generations of local residents. Very home, super nice food and people.

Went first time on Good Friday with a friend.halibut fish was super delicious & well cooked & their mushy peas very very tasty. The girl who served us was super cool, friendly & fast. Overall, will highly recommend people to go and taste the tasty food.
