Discounter's Pool and Spa Warehouse

I found Oshawa location of discounter's pool to be better than any other pool supply store that I have been to. They have good inventory and most importantly their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Ishan helped me get rid of stubborn mustard algae in less than 3 days.

Gentelmen at the cash saw me waiting at testing counter as there was no one there, he proceeded to finishing cashing someone out after he was done i assumed he would help me but he stood there and then proceeded to help other customers who had come in after me and i stood there for about 5 min while he pretty much ignored me, I WILL not be returning to this location as clearly there customer service is horrible.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They wouldn't upsell and patiently answered all of queries. Even provided tips on the best way to manage the quality of pool water.

Update: the staff need proper training. We are new pool owners and were told to just "throw the chlorine pucks in the pool". Fastforward, we now have burn marks on our liner. We have taken our business elsewhere.

The staff were extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. As first time pool owners, we had many, many questions. We had no clue on what we were doing nor what we needed. The staff walked us through everything. We recommend this store to everyone! We will definitely be back.

I am a new "AGPA" - Above Ground Pool Aficionado!
I am having a 15' circular pool installed this spring and needed to exchange a couple of items purchased through DPSW and purchase some additional items as well.
I live an hours drive away in Peterborough and it would be easier to use a "local" supplier but after the amazing customer experience I had right from my store arrival to the loading of my SUV, I look forward to making the Oshawa store my "new local".

Our first experience recently in Discounters and we were very pleased with the help and advice on purchasing product for our new inflatable spa. Travis was exceptional in his knowledge and professionalism. They even stayed open past 5 pm on a Saturday to help us. Thanks Discounters, we will be back!

The Oshawa folks are super! I am a first timer amd just built my onground pool a month back, was closing for the season - and in the process was struggling to find a plug for my pool inlets, and after running after 2 pool shops and amazon, the kind gentleman pointed out my error and also gave me the right part and direction to install the plug. Now my pool is closed for the season!

I entered the store with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022. There were no other customers in the store. There were 5 customer service people in the store. Not a single one approached us. I made eye contact with four out of the five staff and still no one approached us. When I finally approached one of them I asked for a replacement piece of pipe for my pump. The girl told me, "oh, that's a Travis thing. " She then resumed her position leaning on the counter. I also wanted to purchase Algicide and some chlorine but she didn't seem interested in that. An older gentleman employee finally approached us and I mentioned the pipe to him. He also said that was a "Travis thing. " He went back to sit in his chair and resumed his conversation with the older lady that was sitting at the desk. Finally the elusive Travis makes his appearance from the back and courteously approaches me and asks if there's something he can help me with. He assisted me even offering an alternative piece of pipe that would be easier to work with. Thank you Travis. He then went to the back and filled my chlorine jugs. I've honestly never been more embarrassed for a group of people in my life. I've really never encountered more lazy people. Shame on all of you!

Terrible customer service. The man who served me was very rude laughing at me implying I was stupid. Telling me to go elsewhere. I would strongly advice people NOT to go here.

Discounters is very close to our home and they have helped us maintain our pool for the past two seasons. The employees are very welcoming and extremely helpful. We've had our pool water (salt) tested several times and their guidance has helped us enjoy our pool tremendously.

The chemicals sold are a bit expensive, but I'm certain that the prices at Discounters is quite competitive to other stores in the area. They hold an early spring sale that can save you a bunch on opening and maintaining your pool all season. Sign up for their email marketing to ensure you don't miss the sales!

Definitely check them out for all your pool/spa needs. They have a very big store with lots of equipment and supplies.

The customer service here is top notch! I walked in with my son today and was immediately welcomed and directed to the correct product. Great place pool and spa products.

Travis was great in helping me with my pump and filter. Prices beat out other stores. I will be using them for future help. Nice clean store and they had everything in stock. Saved a few hundred dollars on my puchase. Thumbs up to Travis. Sharon

I recently discovered this store and the prices are great, and the staff are very helpful. I also must mention that I needed to return a salt cell that just wasn’t fitting, and Dylan was great to deal with. He provided some different solutions, but I ultimately ended up getting a refund. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pool store.

I purchased a pool caddy from this company and in my haste connected a metal screw incorrectly, honestly it seemed impossible to remove but I decided to crawl back to the store with my tail between my legs begging for any type of help. TRAVIS was AMAZING - his customer service was out of this world. He spent so much time, never gave up, and was understanding through this whole interaction. I will definitely use this company again. Staff not very knowledgeable, but they are helpful. Store could be better at price tagging so you don't have to keep asking someone to check a price. But all in all they do carry a lot of small parts that other pool stores don't carry.

Very friendly staff and very clean store it's like Costco for pool stuff. Great selection and lots of stock. Also the prices are lower than most other places.

I ordered and paid for an above ground swimming pool mid April 2021. Online indicated 2-3 days delivery. After I inquired I was told by Dave M it will be mid June (now). For the past week I left daily numerous messages and emails everywhere without a single response. Customer service is not there. I wonder what else is not there.

My salt generator thingy broke (Can you tell i’m a new pool owner? !) and I went to discounters pool and spa to find out how to get a new one or fix it. The staff were so very helpful. Shout out to Sindy for taking the time to explain all my options since the machine was on back order. Showed me around the store and got me my chlorine pucks and shock and stuff. She was so patient at check out while training a new staff person too. Great customer service and she seems like a great manager. Highly recommend you visit this store next time you need something for your pool.
