Duckworth's Fish and Chips

Very greasy hurt my stomach probably won't go back also very weird smell inside the restaurant maybe rotten fish or very old oil in there deep fryers

Finally get to try what everybody's raving about and it exceeded my expectations! Duckworth's fish & chips is flat out on a different level! Definitely will be coming back for more. Thanks Duckworth, for nailing it

I have had fish-and-chips from Duckworth on Danforth *excellent * but this is the 3rd time getting it delivered by Uber eats from Kingston road.the 1st time was terrible the 2nd time was good. This time I ordered the same thing I always order my seafood Platter which is their most expensive item. The Scallops were small and tough and so were the shrimp's tough even the fish was tough. Uber eats did nothing about my complaint so I will not be ordering again from duckworth

I enjoyed a beautiful halibut and chips and can recommend this Toronto (Scarborough?) institution. I do wish the portions were more generous, but like everywhere, food costs have gone through the roof, so I can't be critical.

Tonight, Oct 1st ordered for takeout. Cod & Chips and Halibut & chips. I've been a regular for years and it's pretty much always great but tonight's was especially good. The fish was perfectly cooked and I asked for well done chips and they were fantastic. Thanks to all the great staff. See you soon.

Great halibut & fries, portions are thick pop-tart size. Creamy coleslaw was tasty and slices of italian loaf come pre-buttered. Only downside for us, the gravy was very bland, rich color didn't match to taste. Not a deal-breaker, especially when you've got malt vinegar for fries.

Fish here is amazing. I ordered 2 poutines and was a little disappointed. There was very little cheese in both and the portions seemed small. Also the cheese didn't seem like real cheese curds as the poutines are generally made with.

As British as it gets! Have to say I’m THOROUGHLY impressed with the covid protocols. Everything extremely efficient, really regimented adherence to distancing. Love the way ordering/payment was structured and orchestrated; safe and quick. One of the few restaurants where all staff actually follow mask mandates properly.

Their fish is always amazing. It’s exactly what I need to satisfy my cravings for fish and chips.

My only complaint would be the chips which were soft and not crispy on a couple of occasions (Yes it was takeout but the distance I go before eating isn’t that far)

I had the cod n chips. Well cooked and delicious. And the chips were proper british style chips.thick cut with skin. This place is now on my list of favourites

Great place always has been. Except for the ignorant customer's wasting staff's time. Staff was still patient with small man and his bossy son.

Excellent fish n chips but I went for the seafood platter but they don't have it at this location. It's strictly fish n chips only. The main St rest location has the larger menu.

Friendly, hard working staff. I’ve been going here for years and the food is very consistent and delicious every time. This place has the best fish and chips I’ve had in and around the city.

Friendly staff. Service is quick and the food is tasty. Fish is well cooked, always crispy, never soggy. You can ask for fries extra done if you prefer.
The last half hour is take out only. It's posted on the window. Never had an issue with it

Classic fish and chips with great service. Duckworths has been a staple fish and chip store in my family for decades. They have by far the best battered fish I've ever had.

Ugh re cooked french fries, soggy fish, and pay extra for coleslaw, really. The place isn't that clean and I would never recommend it to even an enemy.

This fish & chip establishment has been a staple in Scarborough for decades. Simply the best halibut and chips available!

Halibut was flaky, no dark spots, good batter. All the tips of the fries were far to crispy. The roof of my mouth was not happy. A little pricey. Meh.

The place is small in old-fashioned but clean. I ordered an order fish and chips. I got the fish my daughter. The chips. I ordered bread They gave his brother they also gave me some without better cuz I didn't know. Fountain pop was okay.
The reason Pearl me three stars is the fish was small so was the pop.
The staff friendly made you feel welcome.

Best fish and chips in Toronto. The halibut runs a bit on the pricey side, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The hand cut fries are fabulous. I've seen people just come in for them. My 5 star rating is all about the food.

Their hours are inconvenient for me at times. Closing at 7: 30pm is pretty ridiculous for a restaurant and dinner goers in this day and age, and the fryers shut down even earlier.

Note for any disabled patrons: A trip to the washroom involves an enormous staircase, and in general the place is not wheelchair accessible.

Very dissapointed that as a fish & chip place they dont sell greek salade.probably wont return with having such a limited menue

Best fish and chips in town since I closed Arbuckles Fish and chips! Bread is awesome for a chip Sandwitch. Fish is a bit on small size but quality food with fresh cut fries. Friendly staff. Enjoy!
