Flixbus Stop Ottawa

(Flixbus moved their stop to 200 Commissioner Street Starting January 6th 2024)
The stop has no markers but its right outside librairie du soleil. The bus will leave on time so arrive early.

The bus service is very poor.our bus stop in on the way. We are waiting for almost 3 hours. Our bus is changed to new one but its still there. I dont know what going on there. We are still in the bus waiting for a bus driver to move from here.

Nice driver, clean bus with outlets and a bathroom. The bus was right on time, too! Great value for money, will be taking again. Also, this is the exact location the bus will pick you up:) 200 commissioners

I am giving it a 3 because my trip from Ottawa to Toronto was a mess. The smell from the washroom was so bad I couldn’t wait to get off. However my trip prior to this was amazing. The stench from the washroom and the fact that we arrived 20mins after the stipulated on my return trip is the reason why I am giving it a 3star

THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT FLIXBUS STOP! Beware. I had a bus to catch and was given two different locations. This spot and 200 commissioner. 200 commissioner is the correct pickup spot! Me and 6 other people all missed the bus due to this error in FlixBus website. For some reason due to a FlixBus error in giving us two stops causing us to miss the bus they still couldn’t give us a refund! After all of that!

Customer service is horrible! The guy’s name is Kenneph, very unfriendly does not listen to what you have to say. Very bad experience.

Very bad experience traveling with this people.very poor customer service, once you pay, it feels like you are their hostage, no right just their rules. They do not accommodate travelers to stop enough time to get food and use the toilet. I was traveling with my sons (6 and 9) and my wife from London to Ottawa, the trip took over 10 hours instead of 9 hours promised (yet they didn't allow us to get any food and almost left me on the way as I rushed out to try to get food for my kids who only had breakfast. The driver told me " I dont care if your children are hungry or thirsty" We were only allowed 15 min to rush get food around 19h, imagine traveling from 9am and only giving the kids food at 19. Lucky we had few biscuits etc.

Careless people, all they want is money and their busses are filthy.

Law in Canada should prohibite transport operators to ride long hours without allowing passengers time to buy food. They did not warn us in advance and do not offer even water. My poor children struggled. In other countries this could be a reason to sue them.

This has been my worst experience with any transportation company. The bus departed early and left about 6 people on the curb before we could get on. When I called their customer service number, they insisted the bus did not leave early and refused to give me a refund. The person on the phone was also shockingly rude. I have never experienced anything like this. I was shocked. $90 down the drain for nothing.

Ok. Giving it a four star cos the bathroom onboard was horrendous. The service was punctual and the driver was pleasant

Super bus with plug in and USB. Smoith easy ride from Ottawa to Peterborough. Great price. No identified bus stop for pick up, though.

Bus was supposed to leave at 5: 30. We came to the stop and were notified that the bus is going to come at 6: 30 cause it's late. Then the bus came at 6: 30 and left at 7. Bus also smelt horrible. Would not recommend at all.

Nice buses, good bus service, and great drivers, but they don't have an office or bus station for waiting in Ottawa. We had to stand outside in cold to wait for our bus to arrive.

You people should work on getting a covered space where passengers can sit down while waiting for the bus or let the busses be arriving 30min before departure

Terrible service, they left us at a terminal and did not take us to Ottawa and took the things

*Update* I got off bus 2701, heading to London, in Kingston and bought a VIA train ticket to get home. Stay away from Flixbus, unless you have no choice**
It’s cheap, but you get what you pay for. Travelled round trip once and will never do this again. Skyway Coach Lines is terrible. No power and uncomfortable seats on the first trip. Burning fluid or exhaust in the cabin on the second. This smell was present before the bus arrived in Ottawa to pick us up. Evident by the roof hatches being open on arrival. The smell is giving me a bad headache and making me nauseous. We’re only 50min in to an 8hr bus ride. I fear for everyones health on this bus.

The experience was nice. Bus ride from Ottawa to Toronto was very comfortable. The driver was also very pleasant.

Ultimately for $40 per ticket from Ottawa to Toronto, I really didn't have high expectations, but was overall pleased with the promptness and quality of the transportation (at least as much as possible for a 6h bus ride anyways).

Bus stop: is where the map stop is. It's not a designated stop. It's just side of the road and no signs. Bus arrived roughly 10 minutes before the departure and it was a green bus with words "FlixBus" right on the bus.

Regarding departure/arrival time: reliable
Be there right on time. Bus left sharp at the scheduled departure time (one person may have actually missed the bus because she arrived 1 minute late).
On way from Ottawa to Toronto, there was one bathroom break on-route for roughly 10-15 minutes. Bus driver left sharp at time he had indicated. Arrival to Scarborough was earlier than scheduled time.

Stops: they had a few stops on the way including stop in Kingston and one in Scarborough before heading to downtown Toronto.

Seats: fairly uncomfortable. Avoid sitting next to windows as there is less leg room. Isle seats appear to be better.

Ticket: if you are buying in Canada ensure you change language at the top of the site to English Canada to be billed in $CAD otherwise you would be billed in $USD and they won't refund you. The site jumps back to $US English if you close the browser or open the site again, so make sure you double check the language.

Customer service: is pretty bad. Just buy ticket and hope no changes in your schedule happens. Otherwise not flexible.

Price: you can compare FlixBus prices with RiderExpress and MegaBus Canada and buy the cheapest. If you buy in advance, RiderExpress may cost slightly less than Flixbus. If you buy closer to departure, Flixbus may be cheaper. Just note that you have to take both booking to the last step before payment to see total charges (Tax and booking Fees get added at the end) to make a fair comparison for yourself.
