I get all of my dogs food and treats here. All of the staff (manager included) are amazing! Every time I walk through the door, I am immediately met with a friendly smile. It seems like a great place to work as every time I am in, everyone is always in a great mood and just seems like they are enjoying being at work.
Since the pandemic I have tried to buy more Canadian made for my pet. Canned dog food was my biggest hiccup. Other larger pet stores only had one or two options if any at all. This store has by far the best selection of Canadian made canned dog food out there. Access is great, there's loads of parking and the staff has always been very welcoming and helpful!
Always a great experience when we shop at Global Pet Foods. The staff here is very knowledgeable and always has great recommendations. They’re also very welcoming to our pup which is always exciting for him.
Their price points are also very average for the market. Having more natural options is so important to us for our pups health.
So far, this is the only store my bird likes the toys from! Super friendly staff, and very helpful! I come here often for my birds needs aswell as for my other pets.
This business discriminates against medically exempt customers! I tried going in to shop and was made to feel like a 2nd class citizen. They told me I had to leave the store if I wasn’t willing to wear a mask. I tried informing the girl of my exemption and she didn’t care to hear it. She said I had the option to use Curbside only. Appalling.
They showed their true colours during this pandemic. They have no loyalties to their patrons. I can understand calling in your order at a big box store but this is small with 2 or 3 working there. Twice I didn’t know I had to call in my order, so instead of just sending me home to call it in, they could of just given it to me and next call it in. Then they don’t tell you on line that they don’t except cash. I’ve wasted more on gas than anything. I will tell everyone who asks not to go there. They are not nice people working there
I understand that with Covid lockdown and limited services online ordering doesn't work for everyone. I was trying to buy a very simple item and was told they don't take orders at the door. That's fine, I can take my business elsewhere. You have lost a customer in a time when you'd think trying to retain customers is needed. Guess I'm going to Walmart.
I purchased an extra-large Kong for my little piglet. It was a bit more expensive than on Amazon and a little dusty, but the curbside pickup was speedy and friendly.
You guys here have always been amazing, but I have to say your efforts during the lockdown are fantastic! Your curbside pick up was so easy and efficient, and my order wasnt exactly the easiest. Your staff picked all the various Fromm canned food perfectly, and all the flavours I chose were in stock! The set up for pick up was brilliant, and I felt very safe through the whole process. Thank you Global for making this experience so quick and easy!
Staff member Kim (the security guard at the door) poorly trained, rude, zero costumer service skills, walks away from costumers and hangs up the phone when they question policies she enforces at the door.
Would like to see the policy that states gloves are not acceptable in place of hand sanitizer which for health reasons many can not use. Still awaiting response from Mr. Steve Henderson Franchise Field Consultant (multiple requests to return call) from head office as Jen the store manager did not know were the policy was. Rather unusual they claim policy that they can't find. All the other locations that are privately owned do not have this rather unusual aggressive policy (checked with managers) and treat costumers politely while keeping everyone safe and happy (gloves appropriate to be applied upon entering the store if unable to use sanitizer). Fully understand the fact we all need to keep safe but can't seem to understand inappropriate behavior described above. Spoke to Public Health as I was curious how this is acceptable and was told that businesses can put in place "suggested measures" but not "forced measures" unless mandated as by law (which in this case there is no bylaw about mandatory hand sanitizer). Also even if there was bylaw, medical conditions preventing people from using it would legally exempt them from use. By law officer suggested to ask to see the policy they say they have in place which I have been trying to obtain without success. All in all, no policy, no bylaw, clean pair of gloves upon entering the store are acceptable to use for those that can not use hand sanitizer. Or are we breaching human rights here?
One of the employee was so honest about the food we were giving our cat and I'm so thankful she was! We have now cheaper and much better quality food for our cat! Also got a awesome cat treat for only 50 dollars!
Whenever I enter the store the girls seem to be talking at the counter (they do not stop their conversation to acknowledge me), there always seems to be boxes or bags left out on the floor, and not once have I been asked if I need assistance finding anything or carrying bags. Often when I come in I purchase a 15lb of dog food, a 15lb of cat food, a 30kg bag of litter, and other small items and not a single one of them have asked if I'd like a hand carrying them out to my car. I've worked in smaller pet food stores like this, and I have never treated customers this way. It's unfortunate that they are the only location with the items I need, because I certainly wouldn't return if it was left only to their customer service ability.
I like the staff. The shop is always clean and I feel comfortable perusing. Shelves are neat and tidy! Everyone is an animal lover and I appreciate that theres quite a range of paraphernalia for each animal group.
Although they didn't have what I was looking for, they looked up the ingredients and made informed recommendations. I really appreciate the time they took to help me.
I like Global Pet Foods because the staff was very helpful and they are very knowledgeable. The staff gave me information I did not even get from my vet about my dogs food allergies AND it turns out the staff was totally correct. I have switched my Jack Russell's food and he has been very happy and no longer chews on his own paws. Thanks Global Pet Foods in Kitchener. His next visit, the vet was even surprised how well my dog was doing.
Best place ever! The staff are great and patient.brought my puppy to be fit for a harness.they took the time to fit it adjusting it perfectly with his wiggly bum n all
You know a store really cares when they know your pet by name! My Rudy loves the staff at Forest Glen plaza Global Pet Foods and is ALWAYS spoiled when he is there with beef liver treats. We are able to buy the products and brands we need and trust and our dog always leaves happy after visiting his friends at the store.
Polite and courteous staff. Not the best selection overall for food and treats-this place is not as extensive for pets others than cats and dogs but that may be due to the location. In a bus route and in a plaza with other conveniences.

Great staff who are friendly knowledgeable and willing to take the time to make sure you are choosing the right product. Not the cheapest option but you get what you pay for. Their selection of premium foods is unmatched.
Visited this store for the last time last week as the employee Tracy was rude and disrespectful for the second time in a row. She didn’t offer help or greet me. Once having to communicate with her she was condescending and when I told her the the price was incorrect she tried to charge me the incorrect price until I demanded to have the correct price. I always purchase my cats food from Global and this is the closest one to my house. Too bad, they won’t be getting any more of my business.
