Your response is not the truth and you know it. Playful puppy? The dog was rambunctious not playful. No one saw the dog jump me? You did and it seems your manager did as he was familiar with the situation when I called later that day. As I stated, you have little regard for customer comfort or safety. This is not a response of a conscientious owner.
While in the store recently a strong medium sized dog jumped me from behind while I was looking for an item near the store entrance. The owner who had difficulty controlling her dog.even when leashed.could see I was uncomfortable around her dog. I moved away from them and the dog jumped me. The store owner saw this. I advised her I have a back problem (and clearly I was upset). Her only response was a very cold stare.she said nothing! This is a small store and it was busy at the time. There is very little room to move around, particularly at the front. As a senior and after advising the owner of my situation, I expected a civilized, reasonable response, not a cold stare. I later suggested perhaps medium or large dogs should not be in the store when it is busy as space is so minimal and merchandise jams the aisles. Her response to this was negative. This owner appears to have little regard for customer comfort and safety.

Piccolo loves going there, always treats and water for him. If I need something they don’t have they order it and I get it the next day. Very healthy food for our animals. Thank you for caring about our little ones

Love this place. Super friendly staff and the BEST selection of toys I don’t see elsewhere. I get almost as excited as my dog to visit this store.

Cut right to it. The staff is friendly I have never had an issue, they will answer any questions at the same token they will leave you be if you request that as well.
Prices are on the higher side, but let's understand this is a premium store. This isn't No Name, Prez choice stuff. They have real meats if you are looking for this, special kinds of milk, and treats that you will not find in some big box store.
This is what sets them apart from the Big Box.
I shop there a bit, but I can not afford always to buy the food they offer for my cat. I do not blame them, this is not their fault.
I appreciate that I have the option to be able to buy a premium food product (and I might add they have clearly premium products such as cat and dog toys, specifically the cat towers.) Again, if you look at big box stores and theirs, you can see clear differences. But I also appreciate that I can buy lower-cost foods elsewhere.
Take the time to learn the difference. This is a small business that provides higher-end products/foods for your pet. And I would bet if you walk in and ask what the difference is a friendly staff member would take the time to explain

I found the staff unhelpful and uncommunicative at all locations. Didn't like when we browsed a bit. No eye contact at the counter.just a kind of knowing smirk.

The prices of cat food and and dog food should have discounts for people stated on a lower income to support discounts I don't agree with the point if view that there shouldn't be discounts cause not everyone has a prevalize to afford all the pet foods in general.

We got a new pup "Athena", and so my partner and I went to global pet to buy kibble. They were out of the brand we wanted, but were offered a suitable alternative. They ordered me a new bag of kibble, and helped us find a toy, treats, and collar.

Phenomenal Customer Service! They worked really well as a team, from initial phone call to visit, with helping me find a new food for my cat based on a specific criteria. Every time I pop in to grab litter, etc, the vibe of the store has been really friendly, as well.

Good selection, nice food, excellent location. However, the customer service today is terrible. The dark skin, short lady is rude and did not want to help, the others are friendly and helpful

I want to support local businesses and they are so worth it. This pet store is one of the cornerstones that make the Eglinton neighbourhood a good neighbourhood for dogs and Cats.

The staff here are so friendly! They go above and beyond for customer service and you can truly tell that they care about their work. I look forward to coming here each time. Awesome selection of treats, food, and toys as well.

Been coming here to get cat food for a bit over two years now and their prices have been the same even during covid, the staff is always friendly and accommodating.

The owner sharon was very rude and unprofessional on the phone. I was calling to get information on a return and product and she hung up the phone on me twice because she felt the conversation was over. I'll be sure to contact head office and let them know how the owner treats her customers

As a neighbor living in this area, I try my best to support the small businesses during this difficult time, which is why I have been coming to this Global Pet Food store purposely instead of going to big stores. And as an owner of 2 dogs, I do drop quite a lot of money every time I am in the store. However, as of today, I will never step foot in this store ever again. I did a curbside pick-up and a male employee dropped the bag of food in the back seat for me (while I was still sitting in the driver seat).

5 minutes later (still driving back and haven't even touched the bag of food) when I realized that I got the wrong puppy food, I called back to ask if I can come back and exchange to another one. Male employee says that global pet food policy is no exchange or return during covid. So I explained to him that the food bag is still in the back seat and I still haven't touched it. So then, I asked to speak to a manager (same lady that everyone else is talking about in the reviews). That's when things went sour.

I understand a covid policy is a covid policy and If they were not willing to budge, that's alright however, to be yelled at rudely and hung up is where I draw the line. Additionally to be told to go to the pet food manufacturer for a refund/exchange is not how consumer law works. No matter who you are, you never speak to anyone in that way, be it a friend, client, receptionist or even someone you don't like. I understand that this pandemic is difficult for everyone, but at a time where every customer counts, you shouldn't treat them like garbage or you lose them forever.

In this case, I don't care what you say or what your policy says, you lost a client forever and I will never recommend your store to anyone I know or to anyone who asks!

By far the happiest, friendliest and cleanest Global in the area. Everyone is super helpful and knowledgeable and obviously my dog loves it because they give her lots of treats haha! Always really well stocked too, it’s rare that they don’t have something we need. Try the goat milk! They suggested it and it has been kind of life changing for my senior dog.

Friendly staff and great selection of pet food, treats and toys. They carry lots of Canadian brands which is nice to see!

Small location but it's absolutely packed with products so it offers a great selection. There staff are very friendly and can really help you out when you are looking for something.

Excellent customer service. I went in there the other day and was blown away with the knowledge of one of the staff members. Very helpful, enthusiastic and had a good energy about him. Happy to say it’s where I get all my cats food. Primal Nuggets - raw. My cat loves it!

Good selection of raw, simple, and local pet foods. They make suggestions and help you if you're looking for anything. They offer Airmiles and have a points program on some of their products.

This is my favourite pet store since I moved to Yonge and Davisville 2 years ago. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable with their products. Their customer service is amazing and my dog loves stopping by for a treat! They offer great selection of food, treats, and other amenities. I definitely recommend to shop at this store!

Global has done a wonderful job taking care of our dogs. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and they have a selection of quality food options. Service has always been top notch and have been happy shopping at this location.

My favourite pet store! I started going to this location when I moved into the Yonge & Eg area close to 5 years ago. The staff here are SO friendly and knowledgeable. Their service level is unmatched, and I always have such a great experience here. The wonderful staff always go above & beyond to let you know that they truly care about you & your pet. Thanks for being so great!

Great Global Pet Foods location - staff are friendly and helpful, great selection of food and other items. They even offer to help carry big bags of food out to your car! The only place we get our pest supplies.

Edit: check our their response below - super unprofessional.before reading this review, to get a sense of the owners temperament, read the other poor reviews below where the owner takes an argumentative tone as opposed to retentive with all poor reviews. They're unable to self assess.

I'm a little confused by all the good reviews for this location, because based on my experiences I can't agree with the 5 star reviews. We had a dispute over returning an item and they made us wait an hour for the owner who then didn't attempt to address the issue. The staff were passive aggressive, and displayed little empathy when we mentioned our dog got sick because of an item we bought at their shop. The global pet foods location on Eglinton near Chaplin is far, far nicer. And issued us a refund for the item bought at THIS location. We won't be returning to this location, and I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit either.

Cats and dogs only, no rats for reptiles or snakes. Not very global if you only cater to furry things.

Not happy it all with the Owner, my friend and I spend more then $100 at her store and we park on the side of the store to get all the heavy boxes, after we just went to get a coffee no more the 20 minutes we comeback she already call the parking person and we get a Parking ticket
My advice to everyone in the neighborhood don’t shop there she is not a nice person I will post these in Facebook too

I've been shopping from this store over a year now. I love it! Small but well stock. They re always so helpful and super friendly. I don't even live in the neighbourhood but still go there to shop for my little buddy. Thank you for being such a great people:)

Not everything is priced. Asked for the price of something but it wasn't correct.

Response to response. I asked for big cat dry food bag price because I could not find the price for it. I was told a wrong amount when I asked a male associate for the price. I found out that the amount told to me was wrong when I paid for the item. I'd like to see an improvement on price-tagging or displaying price of the products being sold so that I can shop at ease.

Get cat food here, it's my local pet store. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Prices are slighly higher than the Pet Smart.

So glad that they sell the dog food I need, as Petsmart and Pet Valu stopped carrying it. Unfortunately, this store doesn't have a Seniors day but the store great and staff helpful.
