Friendly, helpful staff. Machines are clean and well maintained and the clientele is polite and courteous. Highly recommend this location. I workout in the morning before 8am and it’s never busy at that time.

Amazing staff and trainers, they truly care! First I signed up with a trainer for a couple weeks, then 6 months, and this week for a year!
My trainer is Renee…. Super amazing! I’ve lost 43 lbs, improved balance, breathing, built muscle, and more!
I highly recommend joining…. Best decision I’ve made in a long time.

I love the place. I went in a few months back to pickup a membership to head to the gym with a friend. I had one a long time ago, prior to heading in I did a bit of research and when I got there I spoke with Nick when going over the membership options. While not having been to the gym in a long time and frankly wanting to get into weights and having no clue we spoke about the personal trainers which I ended up taking up on an getting paired with Jopert for a sort of introduction. As I knew my general fitness wasn't fantastic and from it, I decided to stay with Jopert. He helped me setup a reasonable meal plan and even with my lack of ideas for goals helped put some goals to hit, working within the bounds of what I am able to do. I have come a long way and have gained a decent amount of muscle and improved my BF %. Most of the staff here are pretty friendly, only downside I would say is how busy it gets at times during the summer with all the kids but honestly its better then most things they could be doing.
If your looking for a trainer who is willing to work within your abilities and help you get to your goals, definitely recommend Jopert.

No exhaust in bathrooms. All it takes is for someone to take 1 dump. Just 1 dump and you'll be puking.

Circulation is POOR at best. Currently the fans require cleaning and it has been over 4 weeks they haven't called someone to do so. No ETA either.

Some personal trainers stare. Very peculiar behavior in my opinion. Never understood the idea of staring at someone.

Plenty of machines in poor condition. Terrible attitude towards fixing items.

The Rossland location is amazing! Clean, friendly staff with amazing group fitness trainers that really know their stuff who will motivate you to push yourself that little extra to see real change. Rhoda is a Body Pump & Step rockstar, Helen is deeply passontate about Body Attack and Vageesan will give you a spin experience you never thought you'd achieve. This is my favourite GoodLife in Durham Region. I lost 80lbs and got fit going to this gym's group fitness classes over the past 2 years and continue too.

I love the zumba class the monday night with mike and kim I love the selections of music and the choreography! I live all the way scarborough and drive all the way there to be in their class!

I would like to give an awesome review to Mike and Kim who teaches together at Goodlife Ajax on Mondays 8pm to 9pm. Zumba is my most favourite class and Mike and Kim are my most favourite instructors. I live in Scarborough and I would make a special trip to go to Ajax to attend their class. Their playlist is amazing as they play different genre which accommodates all participants regardless of what culture you came from. They can dance to any kind of music and they make us feel like we can also do the same. I hope Mike and Kim get to teach as long as they can as they are one of the reasons why I continue to stay as a member of Goodlife. As long as Goodlife keeps them teaching, I intend to keep my membership as I know they are worth it!

Goodlife is a scam. It's a sales process and they either shame you or guilt you to pay more and say if you ever want to lower your package N chargers is not a problem.what they don't tell you is it cost more to pay less. And also laugh and say "should have read the fine print" scammers!

If you want amazing customer service and a wide selection of weights and machines including hammer strength, a large yoga room with a no judgement atmosphere than talk to the general manager Nicole. She provided me with excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism because of her understanding of my needs and wants that i was looking for in a gym. I highly recommend to get the membership that you will have access to any goodlife gym. I am a big believer in customer service and that is why i chose this gym to start my goodlife membership.

Front desk staff (specifically the overweight lady) are confrontational and rude. She has got many members upset and always gives people of colour a hard time. Myself and many others I know have avoided this gym for this reason and lack of customer service.

Additionally, it's poorly managed by a GM who doesn't know how to deal with complaints. Go to the Ajax gym on Taunton instead.

I have been training at this gym over the past 3 years and I have to say this place literally changed my life. I always call it my second home, the equipment is great, the place is kept immaculate, it’s always clean, and the staff and trainers are super friendly. They are like family to each other so it’s a very upbeat and fun atmosphere.

Recently I had started training sessions with Darien, and after only a few months even with lockdowns I underwent a full transformation. He has helped me build so much muscle and slim down in all the right areas without loosing my curves.

I have reached all new heights through my training with him. I Performed a 302 pound deadlift during one of my sessions and I never imagined I could lift so much. I had a goal body in mind and he has helped me achieve it so quickly.

Darien has also helped me work on my anxiety which has caused me to get into some really bad dieting habits and I have really improved in that sense as well. He has been an amazing PT for myself and my husband, who also has a severe back injury and has been recovering and strength training under Darien’s supervision.

Needless to say I highly highly recommend this Goodlife, and PT sessions if your interested in transforming your body, hitting new goals in your strength training, working your physical health, or just weight loss in general. This gym really does have the absolute best PT Team.

I’m not able to get a vaccine QR code so their policy is just not to let me in. I have the old proof of vaccination but due to a technical glitch on the ministry’s part I can’t get the QR code. Why be so stringent on a policy that’s getting lifted in 2 weeks? Ridiculous and tiny location, you can find a better one than this.

Since covid restrictions have been loosened and most amenities at GoodLife are available again I decided to go back.
I went to this location for the first time as they have a hot yoga studio and my usual location has not reopened their studio yet.
The gym is pretty standard and clean plus the hot yoga studio is a bonus. However, the staff at this location is what makes it a great gym and not just a standard one.
I was greeted at the front desk by friendly staff and then introduced to Richie. I let him know that I had never been to this particular location before so I was unsure of where I was going. He was very polite and helpful and gave me a tour of the gym so I would know where every thing is. He made me feel very comfortable and like he was welcoming me as a guest into his home. He told me if I had anymore questions at all to come find him and he’d give me a hand which I appreciated.
I am not a first time gym goer but it can be intimating for some people to enter a new gym and how the staff treats new comers can really make an impact on weather or not someone returns. Richie is the kind of guy that would make the gym less intimating to new comers and I think if everyone had an experience with someone like Richie the first time they walked into a gym, they’d be likely to return. Thanks for being a great host and so helpful.

I've been attending Michael and Kim's Zumba classes for couples years at GoodLife Victoria Terrace. In July/2021 they've started a new class at GoodLife Ajax Rossland/Salem and I started participating there too.
I live and work in Toronto, North York area but every Monday I drive to Ajax exclusively to go to their classes. Their classes have a very welcoming atmosphere, their energy is so uplifting and they are always open for feedbacks and song requests.
Actually, they are the only reason why I reactivated my membership and was willing to try exercising at the gym again.

Hands down the worst Goodlife in all of Durham Region. The front desk staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. The personal trainers are out of shape know it all’s that are very pushy and aggressive when it comes to making a sale. The general manager is a good guy, I don’t know how he works with these people. If it wasn’t for Covid limiting every gym to 10 people I would never step foot in here

Horrible and rude staff. They have absolutely no etiquette on speaking to people. I came in to change my membership location as I recently moved to Ajax however I was dealt with lack of professionalism, I was told I have to “move to the side as you are holding up the line” as well as “you already received your answer therefore you can leave”. I intend on escalating this matter to head office with the name of the manager and employees.

Great Customer Service. Lost 2 of my rings at the squat rack and 2 employees found and left them at the front for me at the lost and found. When I called they even left a note for me to pick it up.

Sara/Sarah is an AWESOME associate at the Rossland location in Ajax. Super helpful & super efficient. Spoke to her on 20th Aug, 2020, around 10am, regarding a matter, and she resolved it for me and my son, with exceptional efficience and pleasantness. I had written to the head office previously, and surprisingly there was lack of efficience (could be because of the piled up emails due to Covid, so it's understandable) But speaking to Sara/Sarah, it was evident that customer care is not just work but her passion! She was alert, pleasant, knowledgeable, with a goal to resolve any matter, instantly! Thank you soo much, associates like yourself make a huge positive difference in the community!

I was apprehensive about going to the gym during this COVID crisis but I went today anyway and my fears were unwarranted. I was greeted door by an employee Darcy who explained the safety policies and processes at the gym. Masks on when you're not working out, clean your machines and keep your distance. They are really doing a good job enforcing distance which made me more ok with people not wearing masks while using equipment. Couple times somebody sat at a machine close to me and within 20 seconds a staff member was there kindly telling them they had to wait or move. All the staff were great and all the other workout folks were abiding by the rules.

Pros: Great location, ample parking, typical equipment. Cons: Rude staff, like they're on a power trip.or something.

I have to give up some.convenience to find a location where I can workout without getting into an inevitable conflict with a staff member.

Decent variety of equipment, although they could use more squat racks. Customer service staff can be super pushy. One employee tried to interrupt me while I was on the stairmaster, to talk about their personal training services. Only worth coming here for hot yoga

I recently stopped going to this gym because of how pushy the personal trainers are. I would be approached at least 3 times during every workout by a trainer trying to get me to sign on with them. No matter what I said they wouldn't leave me alone, I am about to call head office to cancel my membership here. Its such a toxic environment, if you want to workout with some peace and quiet go to lifetime fitness instead where they don't harass people.

So, I have been going to this GoodLife for 3-4 months now, its been a good gym very organized and clean.

I had personal trainer come up to me “Rob” he was great and have me 2 free sessions, after my 2nd session I sat down and talked numbers with him and what my fitness plan would look like. His Assistant Manger then walked in and listened in as Rob is relatively new which is fine.

I said I would like to wait until summer if anything to start with my personal training, his manager then questioned, what I do for a living, when I get payed, why I cant afford to pay now, where I spend all my money, telling me that I cant afford $200 on my health, and then proceeding to tell me how bad a car is as a financial decision etc.

Will never Go Back to this GoodLife

I have never had a bad experience at this location! Every time I go in the staff are friendly, and if I need anything they're happy to help. The equipment is always kept in good condition, and clean too! They run a really great gym, and I love going here. I will always recommend them to friends and family.

This gym needs to respect its members the personal training staff puts their stuff on the equipment for as long as 15 to 20 minutes so the members cannot use the specific equipment when they are training clients in the common gym areas which is not fair to gym members that are crunched for time between working hours be respectful of members time and space as members do not use the personal training area that is blocked off for trainers use only.

This gym location has been my home gym for over 2 years now, It's clean and very well maintained. The manager Tim and his associate Mike both work very hard in making sure that the place is in top condition, and that any issues that may need to be addressed are attended to. As someone else had stated, Tim is very approachable and always very helpful - it shows in his pride of managing the location.

I’ve been visiting this location for several months and in all honesty, love it. The General manager Timothy is approachable, along with the entire staff from front desk to trainers. The atmosphere is positive and that motivates me further to reach my goals.

This is a great location, really clean with friendly front desk staff. The General Manager takes pride in the gym and the equipment and amenities are in good shape. Overall great atmosphere.

Spoke to the general manager at this location for an issue I had with my membership. He was extremely rude and unhelpful. He told me he couldnt help resolve my issue because it's against company policy. I called up head office and they resolved my issue without hesitation, and were extremely helpful (Despite the GM saying even the head office cant do anything). This new GM needs training on how to talk and treat members. I've been enjoying going to this gym, but my interaction with this GM made me extremely upset. I hope that Goodlife will retrain him on customer service and company policies!

Well I'm not a member but was planning to join this Gym. On the very first meeting I informed them about my pre existing medical condition and how I have never been a member of any gym before but without addressing that they "offered" me a personal trainer and asked for a whole year's commitment without explaining how it would help in my condition. Other than that all they were pushing were their standard plans. I was not even offered one trail class. Sorry but I'm not a pushover and I don't submit to pushy sales tactics.

Clean and well maintained, personal trainers are motivated and friendly also encouraging I will recommend to friends and family. I like that that is mix with all ages and sizes so you will be comfortable has a newbie in a gym.

I NEVER expected a franchise as well renowned as Goodlife Fitness to have such deplorable customer service. I have tried contacting a fitness manager for the past 3 weeks regarding a refund for a team training package and have yet to hear back from anyone. I have been stuck in a limbo of unanswered emails and have just recently been told that I was provided a false email! I'm confused - do refunds come out of the manager's pockets? Why is it that the managers have PURPOSEFULLY avoided contact with me for the past 3 weeks?
On top of all of this, when I initially signed up, a pushy salesperson provided my friend and I incorrect information regarding our memberships. We were told that as students, the package we signed up for would be the most viable option and that we could always opt out/put our accts on hold for 6 months with no charge. Upon asking the front desk, we were told that if we were to put our accounts on hold, we would still be charged 35 dollars biweekly (a total of approx. 80 a month for an unused membership!).
I have told everyone I know to stray far from the stingy, unprofessional location as the one at Rossland. Have never been this let down by any other franchise before. Mom and pop gyms, sure, you can expect some shadiness. But Goodlife? At this point I just want to cancel my membership altogether.

I joined GoodLife at the end of November 2017. I have gone to many different gyms prior to this. I can say that you truly get what you pay for.

The classes are amazing. They have the VERY BEST Zumba instructor ever: Kashawna. She filled that Boxing Day 9: 30 a.m. Class with about 50 people.

All their classes are amazing. I usually do 2 back to back. Prior to GL I spent most of my time on the treadmill and doing weights. I still do these but incorporated a lot of classes and having more fun and variety with my workout.

GL has really good hours. There were classes on Christmas day and New Years day. Most other gyms are closed on holidays.

It's all good. I know why the members stay even though there are lots of cheaper gyms out there.
