The Alliston Neighborhood Goodlife Fitness Club is by far the gym of choice for those living in the New Tecumseth area. The staff are all extremely helpful, friendly, professional an clearly take pride in their work.

This club has a small community feel to it with the size and quality of a top of the line fitness center. Spacious and clean with more than enough well maintained equipment to meet the needs of any member, whether you're new or experienced. This club has it all.

Whatever they're paying Milena, they need to double it. She's very knowledgeable, friendly, and makes everyone feel welcome. You can tell that she genuinely cares about the members. When you have irreplaceable employees on your roster like Milena, Blake, and Robbie, you do whatever it takes to hang onto them!

So although All the staff is amazing I especially appreciate Tim's kind loving nature. I am a busy self employed mom of 2 and I really struggle to put myself first. I have gained the weight many of us did being home during covid so I was hesitant to get back at it. But Tim went above and beyond to encourage me. He signed me up for the best deal he could get me.but that's not all. I did the typical 3 week no show and he noticed! I got a sweet message on my phone with him offering to reintroduce me to the gym and work with me.and the new systems they have. That went along ways to making me feel comfortable to come and actually excited to! Thank you Tim for being so professional and helpful and accommodating. Goodlife Alliston has the friendliest staff who care about your success on your health journey.

This is by far the cleanest Goodlife I have worked out in. The staff does an excellent job keeping the facilities sterile. The staff is excellent. Shout out to Blake, this young man is a Rockstar when it comes to member requests, cleaning, and overall professionalism.
It is a smaller club, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in positive energy and cleanliness.

Goodlife has always been an incredible gym! Absolutely crushes gyms like anytime fitness. If you're debating between the two it's a no brainer.goodlife all the way! Equipment is better, staff is better, cleaner.

Maria, one of the staff members has the worst attitude and make you feel not welcome whatsoever. Horrible service and bad experience. I'll take my business elsewhere

My husband called to cancel his membership during COVID-19 mess so that when they open back up, payments do not start coming back out of his account automatically again. Was told he could not cancel right now (of course) and that he had to wait until they open their facilities and either call in or speak to someone at the facility directly - as if catching someone who works for goodlife at the facility isn't difficult. Way to go goodlife! Try to squeeze a few more payments out of people during such a difficult time! You should be supporting your community right now. If you're paying someone to answer phones, they should be able to access accounts when a client wants to cancel.

I have been a member for a few years now and I love this Goodlife location. I have been a member at a few gyms in my life and by far this one is the best!
The layout is ideal, the members keep the gym organized at all times.

The Staff is the Friendliest staff and the Manager Julia makes herself visible to talk to. The staff will always greet you by name and always with a smile.

Actually a few days ago one of the staff, named Maria, encountered a non member that wanted to get a day pass at our gym, and due to Covid regional restrictions and rules, Maria could not let them have access to the gym. Maria handled the situation in a polite calm manner even though that person was raising their voice and backlashed at Maria. Good for Maria to protect our gym.

Speaking of Covid, its extremely calming to see the staff are continuously going around and disinfecting all the machines and equipment when not in use. At the 5: 00 booking they use the reservation list to check you name off. I have also witnessed them double check the address of a member to confirm thwy were local. Koodos to the staff.

Keep Up The Great Work and Protecting Our Gym!

Good gym. Love that it is 24/7 but lot of key equipment is not available. Hack squat and standing calf raise. Doing calf raises on smith machine gets tough as the lock rolls back. Overall good gym! Lack of equipment stops me from giving it a 5. Also, can't say anything about customer service 'coz I never had to deal with any. I go at 4 in the morning.so, it has been a year since I posted my review. A lot of things have changed. Lots of new equipment. Wide variety of kettlebells, lifting pads and two new machines - glute and hack squat machine.

I agree with a previous review about having to go to the Alliston gym at times when the personal trainers are not there. I’m not sure of their names, but the female trainer with the long brown hair and the male trainer with the blonde hair are extremely rude! Name calling and harassment are some examples of their unacceptable behaviour towards paying customers. I ask that management do something about their conduct. Going forward, management may also want to consider hiring trainers with stronger customer service skills. It doesn’t matter how new or how much of the equipment there is in the gym if the atmosphere is rotten!

It's a smaller club so there is definitely a lack of equipment compared to bigger clubs. For example they only have 3 kettle bells. 25Lbs, 15Lbs, and 10lbs that's pretty bad. They don't have a resistance mat or even a sled. But if you haven't been to the bigger better club's then overall it's okay. It has everything you need to reach your goals.

Staff seem to be annoyed when asked any questions about anything. The new foor makes you wait 30 mins so if you forget something in your car you better forget about going back to it. Not enough variety of equipment.

Don’t go to this gym expecting to deadlift. I had one plate on either side warming up. I would lift, come down controlled and let the weight sit then lift again. I was told the floor in this gym is not made to support this lift and that I can not deadlift. Seriously!? 2019 and I can’t deadlift at a GoodLife. What a joke.

Good for a quick workout gym is very clean but alot of useless equipment. Very limited especially for leg machines. I wish they were investing money into gym equipment instead of tanning beds, it's supposed to be a place you go to get healthy.

I went here with my friend to do a workout routine in the back room. Keeping in mind that the private room at this Goodlife isn't all that big to begin with it was us two, and another girl. As we were doing out workout another lady came in bringing the total of people in the room to four. About ten or fifteen minutes before we were done a "trainer" came in with two women and a younger boy. They started discussing how they would be doing a class. I had gotten a phone call and they told my friend she had to move over. To where? Who knows! When we moved up they asked us to move again. Instead of asking how long we were going to be or if it was okay for us to move when we were there first. I was told classes get priority though it was a class on the screen, which would've been able to wait the ten minutes for us to finish the routine. The "trainer" (I'm using air quotes because this guy wasn't actually going to train them anything) was incredibly rude and disrespectful. If we pay the same amount, it is first come first serve. If I had my headphones in I'm sure they would've waited until I was done.
I now always try to avoid going when the "trainers" are in because of the rudeness I was shown last time. If you don't have to interact with the staff the gym is nice enough, but if you are going during the day I would suggest finding a different Goodlife location or just a different gym. Since this I have also been in the market for a new gym. I have worked in customer service for quite some time and I know that there were so many better options for approaching that situation.

This gym is always so clean and the members are well mannered and put equipemnt away after using them. For a neighbourhood gym that doesnt have 30 staffers working this is way cleaner then most goodlife with 247 staff.

Friendly staff.
Clean.
Organized.

Small gym.
Lots of useless equipment and duplicates/triplets of equipment in small gym; with few key pieces of equipment missing. Hack squat, standing calf raise, iso high row, shrug machine, kettlebells to name a few.
Not greatest customer service.

A lot of members myself included when asking for new equipment or get rid of useless ones get told same response. NO!

The manager said to speak with owner or head office lol.

Lost my card, can't enter this location as every time I go to get a new card, there's no one at the front to even let me in. Tried calling them as well as was told to come in. Been getting the run around yet they have no problem taking my money from me but never around to service their customer. Reaching out to head office to file formal compliant and getting my money back. This is beyond ridiculous. How many times does a customer have to go in to this location only to find either they are closed never answer their phones, tell me to come in person but no one is ever in the front door to let me in, YET have no problem stealing my money from me.

I have contacted at the email address below but nothing has been resolved!

If i could give less then one star i would, this place is a complete fraud.over charged my account, and when they had a 30 days free offer i still got charged and they were not willing to refund me.and when i spoke with Diana, she was rude and it was like she didn't care for the costumer.do not go here!
