I really like GoodLife, it’s a good gym - access to multiple locations and the instructors are quite good (and a bit eccentric). The app is also good. Definitely not a perfect gym, but I highly recommend it.

I've visited this location roughly six times in the past short while after being a recent member in Ontario for 2 years now.

This place has a lot of great equipment. Great and easy to use. I like that there is parking available and this is a pretty prime location. Easy to get to. My issue is with the clientele.

I don't feel the zero harassment policy and being respectful to one another is really enforced here. It's not a very happy location in terms of the vibe. Swearing and fowl language among young people. General lack of respect for other people's time and space. There could be more posters up notifying people about the zero harassment policy as a suggestion. It's a gentle reminder to be respectful!

You can absolutely get your work out here but I wouldn't call it positive to be around or that I would recommend it to my parents or friends.

Worst wifi service. Very patchy at best. Expect a song and dance from staff explaining the reason why the wifi is poor. Most locations have horrible wifi but this location is the worst.

Lots of parking spaces. However I find it quite annoying that the change room is completely separated from the workout area. There are no elevators, only stairs. It’s my first time here and that’s such an inconvenience. No guest wifi.

Not crazy busy which is good. Clean, people that work there are polite and helpful. What issues I have, and the reason for the stars is currently three leg presses out of 4 are currently out of service, one has been for a couple of months. I have a stability concern so won't do squats and this is not great for my leg day. Also needs to be a bit cooler as it can get hot in there.

Joined this gym recently. We were assisted by Jose. Very helpful, has great humour and friendly guy who showed us around the gym and let us know about programs. He was very descriptive and tailored recommendations to our needs. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Filled with smelly students taking gear. Making the gym packed and taking of their shirts off in the washroom and locker room. To reveal their mid physiques.

Should have a serious talk with their parents.

Let's be real with all the 5 star reviews as of late. I've been coming to this gym since the Bally fitness days.
I'm really disappointed on how much this gym has deteriorated.
First off the AC! What is management/corporate doing about this? We are going into the hottest months and you can't expect members to work out in temperatures nearing 30°. Are you wanting members having heatstroke etc?
The number of broken cardio machines is ridiculous as well as the weight machines. Please consider the safety and satisfaction of your members. You will lose them soon (if you havent already) if nothing is done and expedited to solve these issues.

Old review from 5 years ago: Fairly large club. Swimming pool and Jacuzzis. Steam rooms. Open concept. Windows 360° does not feel cramped when busy.

Terrible experience upon signing up at this location, signed up online and was told to come for 6: 45pm, had me sitting around waiting until literally 8pm. Meanwhile, someone else offered to help me out but Kwambe insisted on it being him even though he was busy. We were ready to walk out at this point and just cancel the membership.
After wasting that much of our time, do not be so pushy and try to convince us to purchase personal training after we firmly said no. After someone tells you no, please move on. I don’t understand why someone else couldn’t have helped us out, If you knew you were busy.

I love the gym and the fact that it’s open 24hrs most days. Don’t like the fact that many of the treadmills are broken and not repaired in due time. Also the hot tub has been out of order for almost a year and I don’t know when they plan to bring it in service. There is also no music in the pool area and there are no family days where you can bring the kids with you for swimming.

Its been a year and things are still under maintenance.
They just don’t repair the stuff.

I have visited this Good Life gym around ~100 visits. Clean, good equipment, and has a pool. Close to OW's house.

3 weeks and no water! The fountain broken.

Knowing they increased the subscription price.

Great gym! Everyone that works here is very friendly and approachable. I had Zane as my personal trainer and he was wonderful. Very knowledgeable plus he was really great at customizing my workouts to suit my goals. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking to get a trainer!

This is a bad place. I stopped my membership for one year and they kept taking money from my account without authorization. They took like 500 from me without a reason!

My uncle was in the sauna today and fainted unexpectedly, two of his friends caught him before anything serious happened. However, when his two friends called the reception and the manager to call 911, they were waiting for confirmations, etc. They hadn't called 911 in that desperate situation. This is very wrong and unjust, when someone is in need of medical assistance, property managers should be responsive as soon as possible. Thankfully my uncle was safe because of his friends, but this mistake should not happen again.

This is a fantastic gym that i went to for a couple of years. They have an amazing swimming pool. This is a very dynamic gym with lots of activities going on. Excellent customer service, very professional staff and trainers.

I’m surprised at the negative reviews because this is a pretty nice GoodLife. It has everything. Most locations don’t have a pool and this one does. Also a steam room which is nice and hot. There’s a sauna in the pool area and a huge whirlpool, although it’s closed right now and the sauna is never hot but maybe they’re fixing it. Airy cardio machine room with wrap around windows. No real complaints except you need to check your car in every time which is a bit annoying but at least there’s three hours free. Yes it is kinda busy at times but I’ve always found a machine. I noticed they have massage chairs too but I never have time to use them.

Probably one of the most well equipped gym. However, I visited this gym for the first time to walk up the the front desk and be ignored by the receptionist. He literally looked at me then looked back down on his phone and continued his thing for a good two minutes before he looked up again to find that I was still standing there trying to get registered etc. His partner was also sitting on the massage chair on the side sleeping. I know I signed up for a gym to workout but keep in mind the people who run the atmosphere makes a huge difference. Good life, I highly recommend checking/training/ regulating your staff better. Was not impressed.

Not enough squat racks, layout is super inconvenient and weird plus there’s no signs. Also the only GoodLife I’ve ever been to that threatens to suspend your membership for dropping weights

I’m not one to write negative reviews but my experience with goodlife fitness has been absolutely trash.i didn’t go here long so i’m not sure how they are to long term members but from my experience it’s a money grabbing scheme.i cancelled my membership due to financial reasons and they drained my account… like literally into the negatives…. First time i called (the day i canceled) the guy said “no problem, it’s cancelled”. I said “cool awesome” come to find out i had another fee had been taken off my card.i called and a woman told me i have to give a 2 weeks advance, and i said “ okay my fault i probably just forgot” i kept attending for said two weeks that i paid for and then i got charged again.i called and another woman tells me “oh it’s actually a months advance you have to give” (very rudely). I let her know that i was told otherwise and i don’t think i’m being treated properly.she gave me the phone number to the people who handle the financial stuff and no answer! My account got charged yet a third time and i went and asked why they said i had an outstanding balance:) how does it make sense that i have to give a month advance when i pay bi-weekly? My working out experience there wasn’t bad, good equipment, big gym, the hot tub will probably never be fixed though:) my friend is now going through the same money taking troubles as i was.

Terrible equipment, overcrowded, small pool, small changing room. I have this gym as a benefit form my job. Won’t go here even for free

Decent equipment all around, friendly staff, parking is a non issue.

However:

- Weights are never in their place.
- The cohort of members there hog equipment while texting on their phones.
- Limited amount of bench presses, regular benches and squat racks.
- The workout area is always INCREDIBLY busy, quite possibly the busiest Goodlife in the GTA.
- This location used to be 24/7 and this was never an issue. With these permanently reduced hours, I’m thinking of cancelling my membership and finding a less busy gym.

Your only hope is early morning and work hours (There are also work days when somehow members find a way to hog all the benches anyway) to avoid the crowds. Otherwise good luck doing your entire workout routine in an hour.

Gym is okay but the steam room and hot tub haven't been operational since March 2020. At this point I don't think they will ever be put back in service. Also the location used to be 24/7 but now closes at 11pm on weekdays and 8: 30pm on weekends. Will it ever go back to being open 24 hours?

Decent gym, good respectful members for the most part. The men’s steam room has t worked in over a year… they keep saying they’re waiting on parts, which is believable, until a year passes. I don’t think they’re actually going to fix it.

Overall is ok, but if you want to get some information, forget it! Julia the manager is rude, I understand everyone has a bad days, but if you are in a field related to service, you should be more attentive and less condescending and rude.

I am extremely disappointed that this location reduced the amount of squat racks for general public usage from 3 to 2. This is a high volume location and the wait was already borderline absurd with 3 racks. It's difficult to justify the exorbitant expense of a membership when you can't access the equipment you want to use.

Good gym, nice stuff, but old equipment and bad a/c system. During the summer it gets super hot and sweaty

I’m removing my 2 years and my roommie’s membership because of the rude and unprofessional staff her name is Chelsea! I never been felt humiliated like today in my life never and ever go the Goodlife because of this staff. Thank you Goodlife feeling me humiliated!

Very slow in line up queue - as it gets colder, this locations should rethink line up out in the open. Also maybe a person clearing line up has least amount of small chat with customers to speed up the process? Just couple of suggestions here.

A good location but it needs some updats. The water fountain is always backed up or when it works there is always a line-up. It would help if they changed it to a bottle filling station as that creates the longest lines on the second floor.

The mens bathroom also always stinks! The vents in the showers have mold growing on them.

Machines usually work well, and I like the layout of the gym. The second floor provides views of Toronto and Mississauga.

I booked 7am-8am time slot and they "no showed" me for being 20 minutes "late". So if you want to work out for 30 minutes, then it HAS to be the first 30 minutes of your booked time slot. Which is silly as it forcefully increases the gym's traffic for that first 30 minutes. The rule wasn't well thought out before being implemented.

Dymtro is an excellent personal trainer - listens well, knowledgeable, and keeps it fun - highly recommend him.

Clean and has everything you need, and a lot of classes to choose from. Wish they had more stairmasters, I almost always have to wait for one. The steam room could be cleaner and the hot tub is usually underfilled with water. The staff are also mostly rude and incompetent although there are some really awesome ones.

24 Hour GoodLife Fitness facility 6-7 minutes from 427/QEW major highways.

Two water fountains, one at the gym level, the other in the sub-level fitness studio. Wet sauna is fantastic, dry sauna is also available next to the pool. Tanning and JUMP! Child Minding are available on the ground floor. Remember to sign in your car license plate at the front desk.

One of the best clubs in the area!

Could be overly crowded sometimes. Good Gym with many features. Also it has bad airflow that prob will make you excersice less, not sure if it's just bad managment or it is made to make you leave earlier.

Great gym. I jut go to their spin class at this location. Bikes look like they have been updated in the last couple of years. There’s always space in the class and the instructors are great!

Crazy busy.free weight section is a disaster. If you're using a bench, don't put your weights back. By the time you get up to put them away, someone will have taken your bench. Zero etiquette with this crowd. Men's change room is filthy at all times. I'd say find another location but most Goodlife's are like this.

Never any towels and some staff I have had communication with are very rude and they do not sanitize their tanning bed you have to just an FYI. They had no hot water for 3 days straight. Not good as your regular gym, good as a last min location.

My buddy and I kept commenting that this place was in a state of disrepair, then a cable snapped on the machine we were using. We promptly wrapped it up

Great facilities, steam room, sauna, swimming pool and lots of equipment. Expect alot of stairs and insufficient water fountains.

I'd give it a 3 star if not for the steam room which is great. Lockers are too small, co-ed dry sauna never works, theft is an issue.towel service is mesh.but for the amount of customers they serve. I guess they are coping ok.

Good gym and pool. I go very late so it's pretty empty. Great staff at night time, they are very nice and prompt and convinced me to join this gym location! They always remind me to put in my license plate too, because I always forget.

Smaller centre however well equipped. I forsee issues getting equipment during busier time. Also there are a ridiculous amount of stairs to climb. If you have mobility issues there is an elevator provided.

Visiting goodlife is always a very good experience
I'm thankful to the staff here for putting me on YET another time as I can't go to long without being at the gym

They were very helpful and supoortive of me of my Stay in the region

Every goodlife you go to has a different vibe and energy but THEY ARE ALL GOOD and this is a good sign

Old gym with staff that really seem like they hate being there. I was deciding between la fitness and this gym. Came in to sign up for a trial and employee didn’t even seem like she cared to sign us up. We got no information on the gym or how we can benefit from it. The gym itself has very old machines that jam.
Nothing special or worth the price you’re paying for a membership.

Pros: It's 24/7, lots of parking space, great staff, lots of machines, wonderful patrons
Cons: only one drinking fountain, shortage for towels, repeatedly no hot water for shower, small lockers, not very clean change room (men)

Due to my work, I have used many 24/7 Good Life branches, by far this one has the most enthusiastic patrons also this one is my only bad experience of Good Life facility.
If I had started my membership with this branch I would have been long gone from GoodLife fitness club.

Weight section highly unorganised, its one thing that clients don't put anything back but what makes it worse is the fact that it seems like there's no staff charged with ensuring everything is where is supposed to be. Other than that, washrooms are usually clean and there's a lot of parking. If you're a weight lifter and you're prepared to spend most of your time walking around trying to find weights to add to the bar then this is the place for you

I have been a member for a few years now. The swimming pool is big. Yoga classes very later in the evening on working days and very limited space if you like to do your own exercise.

Needs some major renovations. Also the club is always short on towels. 50/50 chance you will get a single towel. Want two towels if you go swimming - almost impossible that the desk will give you two towels. GoodLife - please refund my towel service fee.

08/20/2019 - asked for two towels, just got one

It's clean, has free parking if you log your license plate into the computers at the desk and has a pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room! The staff are always friendly and helpful as well.

Theft problem, towel problem, maintenance problem.lots of problems!
You come to a gym to work out and relax; yet, this gym has regular unexpected closure of pool, sauna, hot tub with the excuses like emergency phone in the pool not working. It seems like either the manager wants less access to the facility for less cost of labour/maintenance. Or employees keep slacking and putting up the maintenance sign without being authorized to do so. PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND STOP FOOLING YOUR CUSTOMERS.

Very bad customer service at this gym and bad towel maintenance. The washer and dryer keep breaking down and there are no towels. I do not understand why that is a common theme around Goodlife Fitness, I am paying for a towel service that is not cheap and it is soooooo bad. It is obvious that Goodlife can’t provide a proper towel service so I do not understand why they don’t outsource it. It is annoying to be paying for towel service and then can’t have towels to keep you dry during a workout or take a shower. And the customer service is pretty bad.

Worst experience!
I went to this Goodlife location, there was a $70 parking ticket on my car when I finished workout.
I spoke with the front desk, they told me, they parking lot is not theirs. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

It could certainly use renovations, the pool and whirlpool are major plus’! But the gym itself should be spaced out better. Especially considering the volume of people that go here! 4 stars is fair I believe, perhaps if they finally decide to renovate the gym, add an extra fountain or two, and get some newer machines it’ll be an easy 5 star.
