WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Stay away from the gym staff at all costs.

I cam in today around 10am had a good 2 hour workout and left. As I was outside the gym I realized I forgot my phone and stuff in the locker room. So I go back in and ask the lady at the front if I can give my phone number to get in because I forgot my stuff in locker. Then she keeps asking me questions about why I do not have my key to enter and I am trying to explain, as I do this I am also asking can I please just give my phone number and get in. Then she keeps on stalling and questioning other staff about how they have had lots of people coming in using someone elses number.

I have been coming to this GoodlifeFitness for 6+ years and have never had someone so rude and unfit for a customer service position when she is escalating the issue instead of doing her job. Finally after arguing and giving my drivers license ID they let me get my stuff and leave, I will not be showing up to this gym until this lady has been either let go or re-trained.

DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION, the morning staff are TERRIBLE HUMAN BEING AND THE STAFF GANG UP TOGETHER TO BULLY YOU!

I came back from my trip, and went to my home gym today at 8: 30Am, the welcome was pleasant and nice at the reception. The swimming pool was cloudy, and the change room floor was wet everywhere.guess because it's a long weekend.
People not only taking picture in the change room, one guy even haveing a video call with his friend inside the swimming pool. I reported the video call inciedent, hope it has been taking care of.

This location of goodlife is bad. They do not value people's time. Classes get canceled 20 minutes after it was supposed to start for 2 days in a row and the only explanation is" someone unfortunately screwed up ".

Lots of good equipment, usually very clean (cleaned professional daily but some members are gross and dirty the place up quickly), lots of amenities (pool, steam room, sauna, cold plunge, hot yoga, daycare spinning classes, etc.).

Very busy and overpacked even during typically non-busy times. Steam room is broken and inoperative way too much. They need to get a tanning bed like the Meadowvale location.

Overall i have had a good experience at this location. Facilities are good and maintained well, great energy at the place at all times. Sometimes gets too crowded, but otherwise alright. A lot of familiar faces in the gym which goes to show people like the facility and come there regularly.

Personal trainers are good and friendly. I have taken personal training for the last 12 months. Without the boring details, I must say it has benefitted me immensely, both physically and mentally.
If you are looking for a trainer, talk to Dallas. Great bloke, very sincere and honest at what he does, observes well and keeps notes. Apart from my overall experience at this facility, the 5-star rating is also a reflection of my training experience with Dallas.

The staff here is wonderful and very helpful. The washrooms for men at night time are disgusting though, dirty and unfortunately doesn’t feel healthy. Also why is it this gym dumbbells stop at 100. The goodlife in oshawa and Whitby have dumbbells that go to 120 lbs. They should put a shower in the swimming area that will force people to shower instead of just going in dry. I hope this review gets people to have a look at these issues!

I used to like this gym, now sales desperately giving out free passes, when I brought my daughter age 15, manager said it is not valid, due to liability, but I can choose to pay $25 for day pass. There’s no terms or conditions mentioning free pass is not covering minor. It seems to me front desk made their own rule favour their own benefits, if they don’t see you bring new business, they don’t want to serve you. I’m very disappointed with the customer service skills.

I recently joined Goodlife heartland, I have to say Amorel was one of the main reasons I signed up, her customer service, assistance regarding memberships/fees and the classes was amazing and helpful. I appreciated her honesty and customer service.

Gym is too good in every aspect.
This review is just about the wifi in the club.
I have complained multiple times but the wifi is hopeless, not a single video buffers.
There is no use of complaining as they are not taking it seriously…
Edit after reply: i have been to gym at 6 in the morning, 12 in afternoon, on sundays when there are hardly any members still the wifi doesn’t work.
I complained about the same at front desk multiple times about this

A Great gym with all you could wish for. Large well structured loose weights sections. Nice amount of free weight dumbels. Staff are nice and helpful. Always smiling and I good spirits. I made this my regular gym since the cold plunge went out of action at the Brampton location. Steam room is amazing. It's like visiting a spa every evening. A definite 5 out 5 facility. Great fot my early morning weekend serious workouts and never too crowded.

Love GoodLife and been a longtime member for its great facilities, upgrades throughout the years however, I would like to ask that you come up with better scanners. Because this is the first thing you do when you come to the gym, it’s a sub par experience. If you find something that could expedite members to enter, you’ll have even more happy members. I think a small investment for a big UX ROI.

I was at this location last week and was inquiring if I can use any quiet space for 5 minutes within the gym to pray. He walked along, found a vacant room and offered me to use. That was awesome. Amorel, Rosalba and Caleb are the friendliest front desk staff at Heartland location. They always smile and tend to your needs effortlessly. Always smiling, always quick to solve any and all member concerns.
I especially love the way they are able to greet members by name.

Arti is the club attendant. She puts her heart into her duties making sure the club is pristine. She greets all members as if she as known them for years.i am a member since 2015 and have had nothing but great experiences at the Heartland location.

Gym equipment not bad (lots of dirty old grease on handles/machine joints) most expensive compared to all competitors (5$ extra biweekly just for towels) mens shower engulfed by the smell of urine, steam room broken 85% of the time (never updates on the fix) constant billing problems (ex.being charged more/multiple times different accounts) “Boss” Joeline doesnt care about your problems or buyers rights as she will blow you off if her workers call her about a problem or there will be a “meeting” shes at if you need to speak to her, try for yourself. Cody replies with attitude and is power tripping over his gymnasium promotion as other associates are willing to give you better plans/packages but Cody chooses whats best for his commissions, Overall Sales Rep dont know what they’re doing and you will waste more time figuring out technical problems that are the corporations fault then you will working. Also every sales rep trys to convince you to pay for over priced “personal training” that you can learn on youtube. You can do it on your own dont let these shady crooks take your money, never going back and having 5+ people cancel their membership. Also frequently stolen items in the lockers

I recently started coming here during late nights after moving from Vancouver. It’s my first time signing up with Goodlife but my experience with them has been incredible. This location specifically is by FAR one of the nicest in Ontario with a pool, hot tub, steam, sauna and even a cold plunge. Equipment is plenty with over 5 racks and tons of machines. Change rooms are also sanitary throughout all hours where i’ve been. Last but not least, customer service has been shown to be above and beyond. I had friends visit from Vancouver and at the insane hour of 2 AM, Macy didn’t hesitate to help. She acted quickly on her feet to help register my friends for a trial and got them in happily. I’m beyond impressed with Goodlife Heartland and I look forward to coming here for years to come.:)

I made a mistake by joining this gym for a yearly membership, if it wasn’t for the amenities the steam room that’s been not working for the past 3 months since I joined or the broken sauna that works for 10 mins and stops, the dirty washrooms that’s barely maintained especially at night, very disappointing paying $700 a year to use basic gym when I could of signed up with plant fitness for $10 a month and have the same experience, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, 1/10 is the rating

It's a great gym with lots of great people that will help you reach your goal. I recently joined the personal trainers and my personal trainer is Sultan who is a very great trainer and he'll get you to your goals with hard work and discipline and fun! I would recommend you try it out

I spoke to a fitness manager recently about an appointment that was canceled on me without my knowledge. When I explained to them that I did not receive a cancellation email the fitness manager became very rude and short with me. I just started attending the gym and it’s very discouraging when staff act in this manner.

My daughter had a bad experience with this heartland goodlife. My advice is do not join this gym specially do not sign up for a personal trainer. You easily get scam by them to get out of the contract. L. A FITNESS has a better deal and they are honest to customers. I would not refer this gym to my family and friends!

Ive been a member here for almost 3 years now. And i have to say the staff here is very friendly and motivating. Its always spotless in there they do a really good job constantly cleaning the place. Not to downplay any other of the employees but i notice one emplyee victor working espcially hard all the time. Give that man a raise! Thank you and see you all soon

I went in to manage my membership. I was promptly helped by Julian, who was professional and helped me out quicker than I thought I’d have to be there.

Update: upon reviewing my accounts I saw goodlife continued to withdraw money from my bank account after I cancelled my membership. I called and was told I don’t have a membership but I have a positive balance, which will be refunded back to me… very unethical and boardline fraudulent. How many other accounts does goodlife continue to charge after cancellation?

I've moved around to a lot of different Goodlife clubs and this facility is the best managed, large, bright and spacious. The managers are very responsive and take action right away which is important to me. Cleanliness is also a priority for me and the staff is well trained.

This location/facility is one of the best GL gyms in Mississauga. It's very spacious and has numerous types of equipment that you don't have to wait until someone else is done. There is plenty of equipment to go around. I also want to mention that the place is spotless and well maintained.

There are two staff members I always see who are very dedicated and hardworking when it comes to the upkeep of the environment. Victor and Kevin are constantly cleaning and ensuring the environment are safe for all members. I had some convo with Victor, and you can tell by his action how much he cares and how dedicated he is to keep the environment clean and safe. If there is a way I can review these two staff members, I will give them both five stars for their dedication and hard work.

Wish they had regular late evg BodyFlow classes. I'd attend this club more if they had the classes I enjoy most, ie. BJam & BFlow. I love stretching & calming my mind before going to sleep.

Drove for half an hour to get here only to be told the pool is closed. Asked the lady at the reception why it's not updated in the website and she said she doesn't know. Other locations close at 6pm. On a Sunday? First time I heard a gym closing at 6. Very overrated gym. If you're looking at becoming a member don't bother. Everything is always closed or broken.

But don't think about Personal Training, (un-professional at all), and you may consider it scam
I visited them 6 weeks ago, to check about the cost of PT, when they offer a Pack for 9 sessions @ $209 and when asked what the monthly cost after that they said it should be around this amount (based on twice a week). After 5 sessions, they started talking about the annual plan, when I discovered it'll be over $500/month (twice a week), when I discussed, they said it's their price and someone did a mistake (after I paid almost $400 registration, etc)
Beside all that they hold my last 2 sessions which I paid earlier, and kept telling me the trainer is busy, sick.etc and kept me away for 3 weeks, no body called to schedule and don't return my calls
It's really POOR MANAGAMENT.and I'm cancelling this membership, won't be happy to be in a place like this just looking to pull as much from my pocket

GoodLife kept charging mine and my wife's account for more than a year even after requested to cancel the membership. Never going back there again. So hard to reach them on the phone so I emailed them few times then they cancelled the membership however they never notified me that they cancelled it. Just found out after going to the club after they opened last month.

Since the covid pandemic and them limiting the amount of people in this gym it is now bearable and enjoyable. Previous to COVID it was too packed with "kids" just taking pics posing kiki-ing and throwing weights all over the place and not putting them back.

M not sure if the management is forcing her to work here coz she doesn't seem happy and that shows up by the way she treats all the members. Very rude, unprofessional and no work ethics at all. I joined Good Life (Heartland) in January and immediately signed up with a personal trainer as I knew I would need help staying motivated and didn’t want to just walk on a treadmill so I could say I ‘worked out’. Rusi created a fitness plan that is helping me achieve my goals. She is an extremely knowledgeable trainer and adjusts my workouts each day/week so that there is variety and so that I continue to be challenged. Rusi can be tough when she needs to be (usually on the days when I’m whining), but also makes my workouts fun. I’ve seen a noticeable difference since the first day I walked into Good Life – I’ve lost a few inches, and a few pounds but mostly I have a lot more energy to do things with my daughter.

A big shout out to the early morning and Sunday morning front desk staff for being so pleasant and so polite, and getting you in a great mood before your workout even starts. It's a nice gym but they really need to take better care of the place. Washrooms always dirty, weights are all over the place all the time.

The people working there appear more concerned for getting in a workout and pumping their music than taking care of the place.

Awful management, I was filmed by some random girl without being aware of it. I felt really disrespected when this event happened. The managers Andrew and Jolene could not handle the situation in a proper manner. I will never step foot in this garbage gym again. This goodlife is the best goodlife i ever been too, it has alot of things to do like hot yoga, steam room which is my favorite, cold plunge which heals you from your injuries. Hot tub and many more. Especially the front desk service is awesome. Kevin my friend really motivates you to push and hit your goals, What every gym needs. I love this goodlife. I recommend this gym for someones home gym. GM Jolene is rude and unreasonable. The situation I encountered there could have been turned around with a good attitude and an inch of customer service but she is miserable and unhelpful. I agree with other posts that the gym is unkept and weeknights in the women's change room there are not enough lockers for everyone. And to whomever is replying to these posts as 'owner' don't bother with your canned response. I've already contacted head office management who said I'd get a call back. Shocker, it never happened. This gym does not deserve your hard earned money.

I enjoy going to This gym, They're very friendly, kind and helpful.

The staff members are welcoming. There is a very sweet lady Name Amorel who is always Motivating others, and She treats my son with such care. (mvp) I dont ever see her take a break. Kev another (mvp) he is very helpful.
I can only speak for the lady's locker room, the times I'm there its clean. And
Yes it always busy People are trying to get off the greasy meat.

Why I gave 4 stars
Daycare the hours need improvement, but the cost is great you cant beat it.

I am hyper flexible and was suffering from chronic shoulder and upper back pain for a long time. I went to see countless healthcare professionals (including going to the pain clinic) but they were unable to help, and I seriously thought I would have to live with absolute discomfort forever. This all changed after I started training with my personal trainer, Rusi. Not only is she knowledgable with alignment and muscle function (ie.the human anatomy), she is also very patient and friendly. My workouts with Rusi are always fun, safe, challenging (still doable with my capability), and never boring. I am grateful to train with Rusi, as she really does take the time to help me become pain free.

I go to this gym in the mornings and all the amenities, machines, bathrooms are clean and always to par. The bathrooms and showers are always stocked up and are kept clean. I have met one of the few cleaners (Arti) who seems to always be happy and works efficiently if something is needed. Also a big shout out to Amorel Adams, i can’t count how many times I’ve forgot my membership at home or had a problem with the a machine and she wasn’t scared to get down and dirty to ensure it was safe and operational.

I just completed my personal training with Mark and it was sooooooo amazing.

He is so much fun to work with. He motivated me and pushed me hard during my workout to reach my goals and other things in my life! Including my personal goals.what else can I ask for.
Also, he customized my workout to focused on all the areas that I needed help with and I am seeing amazing results.

I highly recommend him! I would have continued with Mark but the cost is a lot for me right now. However, I singed up for bootcamp with him which is at a very reasonable cost for me and I cannot wait to start!

My review for the gym in general is that this location can get over crowded during rush hours but its very close to my home which is why I am still coming here. Also, Its really big and they has a lot of equipment but can still get over crowded:/ I think we need another GoodLife in heartland!

Maybe the busiest gym in the whole of the GTA? The gym has everything you could think of equipment wise and the changing rooms are spacious, clean, brightly lit with all the amenities. Staff turnover seems high and there is the usual combination of friendly welcoming (non judgemental looking) staff and then there are others.the gym is ALWAYS busy, at 5am or 5pm. It would be nice to go and not have to wait for a machine, but it is the location and accessibility that may appeal to so many members. Would be great if there was a womens only section at this gym, I'm sure it would be a hit.

Just finished my personal training with James. Would have loved to continue if not for the cost. James is a great personal trainer, very knowledgable and helpful. I feel confident in meeting my goals with the foundation James had helped me build.

I am currently doing personal training with Ray and he is amazing! I really like how he is always switching up my workouts to keep it exciting and fun. He also really pushes me to do more than I thought I could and I'm really seeing results! I highly recommend him! The other personal trainers are also very friendly and are always smiling at me and saying hi when I come in for my sessions! It is a great experience! The gym is also really nice, clean, bright and very open!

Always. So. BUSY. Location being what it is, can't be helped. Impossible to get machines without waiting. I've had to wait for treadmills even at 9: 30 pm on a weekday. Men's locker room floor is basically brown from all the outside shoe dirt + shower water mixing, needs to be cleaned more often. Good setup, just suffers from the sheer volume of people using this gym. Helps that it's 24/7.

Absolutely fantastic management and staff. The club gets busy after 4pm, so if you can avoid going during the peak hours you will absolutely love this club. Other than this minor hiccup, this club is great.
