This gym is fantastic! It's super clean, has top-notch equipment, and the trainers are like family. It's not just a gym; it's a supportive community that keeps me motivated. With flexible hours and great results, it's a solid five stars!
Went to this GYM to get membership. The lady up front was extremely rude, unprofessional and insulting. I asked her a simple question and she responded by yelling and saying sit down and one of my coworkers will be with you. Then she kept repeating the same thing over and over again and pointing to where I was suppose to sit. The experience was horrible and insulting. I left without getting the membership. The GYM has to understand to treat potential customers professionally and in a respectful manner. Additionally, if a person works at the GYM they should look like they have actually used the GYM as well. Update: Response to the Response from the owner. I actually reached out via the email provided. No one responded. Its bad customer service all around. I wish I could give them Minus 5
Very lovely gym with superb equipment and machines. Always neat and clean with most friendly attendants. However, some of your PT need people orientation and better customer service training. It’d also be great if can pay attention to customers who work out with improper gym outfits like slippers, gowns etc. Overall, great experiences personally
Great gym and equipment. Friendly staff. Clean and very nice layout. Plus sauna and pool. Open 24 hr, which gives me the opportunity to start my workout 5: 00 AM before school.
Dirty, fitly, and so disorganized. The staff don't have a clue about any thing, the information provided by staff not what was on the website. This used to be a good club and I used to go there, but this time around, I'll look around for another club that is at least clean.
I give them 4 stars instead of 5 stars because everything is great except there sauna is not very hot in the evening. 24 hours Monday through Thursday they close Friday nights Saturday night and Sunday night
I’m not a big fan of the layout of this gym. It’s also incredibly busy. There are more than enough Cardio machines and a good selection of weight machines. However the free weight section is very small relative to how busy this gym gets at peak times. There are times where I can’t do workouts that I had planned to because of the free weights area is packed like a can or sardines. There are a good amount of plate loading machines, but not enough cables. There is one big multi cable machine that allows for a multitude of exercises. But only one dual cable machine that is available to non training clients, as the Free Motion dual cable cross is in the Personal Training area. There is a long turf mat which is a good size. Overall this gym isn’t the best. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at peak times are way too busy. I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like after New Years. On a side note: the free weights area smelled like urine when I went earlier this week. Not nice. Oh well, not every Goodlife Fitness is amazing. This one definitely is not
One of the best gyms open right now, the staff are always there to help and answer questions - even the dumb ones.
(Edit: The gym has gone down hill and hasn't recovered. Staff and equipment have declined in quality and the prices for what they offer are outrageous.)
Mika lied to get me to sign up, it wasn't what I was looking for. Because of that I have been getting charged for no reason. Robbing me of my money and damaging my credit. Just shameful.
Don’t sign anything before read it very carefully as they would tell different things than what written in the papers. My PT was amazing. Everything other than that was the worst experience ever. Staff and money. This place is extremely expensive and they always push you to level up to pay more money. I get it. It is business. With all means you mean nothing to them other than money.
It’s all about staff. May be it’s not the biggest gym and has a but less variety equipment from others, the staff here is friendly and supportive. Thank you guys
Really clean, good space. If you like gyms where people actually workout and go after it then give this a try. But only this branch that I’ve seen so far.
This is one of my favourite locations, it’s been around a long time and I’ve been coming to this location since 2011.
This location has many machines and areas that aren’t found at other locations. It’s been renovated a few times and has a mix of old and new machines but all are in working order.
Pool, studio, turf zone, massage chairs and cycle room along with GL standard equipment
Parking you need to get a pass at front desk and display on dash, there’s plenty of parking both underground and outside.
Staff since pandemic are new and younger but service is still there
Over all good fitness club. It’s clean, sometimes crowded especially afternoon. In the gym lot of equipment, I wish they have more equipment for pull ups and push ups
This is a great gym with an amazing swimming pool and a co-ed sauna! The main floor is open concept with decent views of the outside. I used to feel ambivalent towards this gym, but I realized it is one of the nicest locations out there. Definitely come check it out!
Was The best branch before covid19 But when i bought membership this branch was 24hr while now a days until 11. If they do not want to come back 24hr should lowering the price for old members.
Less busier than the other Goodlife’s in the area, some of the equipment are old and needs to be updated. Warehouse look and feel. Air conditioning is nice and chilly on hot summer days, music is not too loud- which is perfect since everyone has headphones these days, locker’s are spacious and has a swimming pool as well. Do miss the sauna at this location.
Be aware, these people are scammers. Watch your account, as despite all the COVID19 restrictions, they kept charging me, for the services I never received. They never bothered calling and inquiring, all they care is to take your money.
They play shady sales games here. Over the phone they said $22 bi weekly for basic a.k. A essential member ship but they wasted my time going in as once there they said $30 biweekly. They said if you sign up right now we'll give you a discount. This is my first time back to GoodLife in years and I see they still attempt there high pressure and non transparent sales tactics. I overheard the manager telling the sales rep not to tell me what the discount was because I wasn't signing up on the spot and to mention this was speacil covid pricing and the price could go up. Really shady and I'm not impressed.
They charged me extra $110 when I was trying to cancel my membership. Eventho I didn't sign a contract and I was free to cancel it anytime. I paid $200 deposit to have that eligibility. So they are basically legaly stealing money from their customers.
This location on dufferin and finch is on of the best good life branches in Toronto because of it’s nice staff and the best manager they deserve 5 stars that I gave them
I had a training session with Ali today and it was great. He is very encouraging and has a vast knowledge of his profession. If motivation, flexibility, and a personal approach is what you are looking for, then Ali is the man for you!
Seriously, you guys are the only reason why I still keep my GoodLife membership. Staffs are really nice and friendly. More importantly they never harass me over the evil mask mandate. This gym should be the perfect example of how a real gym should be. Salute. Don't let me down.
I came to this location today and the guy name brandy was super rude to me. I'm giving 5 stars because of Nickie who took over brandy and helped me, which I will never forget but brandy, I was not expecting this from you.
Absolute greedy scums these guys! Horrible and shameless company with no integrity. Stole my money and keep giving BS excuses. Do not trust them with your banking info. Try one of your other local gyms with that is run by honorable folks.
If the majority of your workout is cardio, then this is the gym for you. More then half the gym is filled with cardio equipment. Not enough freeweights, not enough cables, not enough benches, etc.
I found that most Goodlife locations are generally up cabs pretty well. They do get quite busy especially during the typical after work, But that’s pretty much expected at this point.
Gym staff are all great, but the customer service at GoodLife wasn’t. I’ve had tons of problems with billing and account issues that haven’t been resolved for a while now.
I’ve been going to the gym for 14+ years but the one time I need help or call into their customer phone line no one could help. Currently finding another gym to workout at.
Good place and nice atmosphere. Staff are very helpful and polite. So that's why a lot of visitors here. I don't like to have work out when are crowded. For using some machines you have to stay even in line in a busy hours. So I usually come after 9-10 pm, before it's too crowded.
Best gym but they should really encourage people not to wear very heavy colognes.some people pour a whole bottle on them and it makes it very uncomfortable to some people that are sensitive to heavy smells.makes people dizzy and almost vomit
This is a really good one. Staffs are super friendly. Facilities: Swiming pool, sauna, classes for Yoga and all. Unfortunately, they don't have any squash court.
Someone broke my locker and took my stuffs and no one took responsibility for this issue. I stopped going to this location. I would highly recommend that, leave your important stuffs in the car before going in. If someone breaks your locker and take your important stuffs, you are on your own!
This location has friendly staff. If you’re looking for a clean training environment and changing rooms, i would personally suggest this location. Also, if you’re looking for an intense push and personal training, Ali Is your guy. You’ll see the difference in your body in no-time.
First time went there was with my friend helping him registering. The girl at the desk was super CUTE and friendly of course. +20% more energy every time I see her. They keep the gym clean all the time as well.
They charged me extra $110 when I was trying to cancel my membership. Eventho I didn't sign a contract and I was free to cancel it anytime. I paid $200 deposit have that eligibility. So they are basically legaly stealing money from their victim customers.
This is a great location! It can get very busy at times but its also one of the few goodlife locations that has a pullover machine.which was a huge bonus for me. Also has a pool, coed sauna and turf space the morning staff are very friendly and welcoming. Dont forget to get a parking slip at front desk if you drove and leave it on your dash! Parking authority is diligent here.
I have been visiting this gymnasium for several years. In general, there is everything to support yourself in physical form. But the technical maintenance of the secondary rooms suffers, toilet seats are often out of order, or problems with water taps, locker doors in the locker room are out of order. Massage chairs often do not fully function. There is a lot of dust on the lockers in the locker room, and on the walls and ceiling near the ventilation openings, drinking pots are often poorly washed, and the second heater in the sauna is constantly not working properly.
The toilet seat was not bolted to the toilet so I had to hold the seat while using it. One of the other toilets was occupied and the other one had lots of stuff in it. The outsourced cleaners only come twice daily. Be prepared to pay $73 monthly to be in gross, smelly locker rooms.
Beware of your goods in the lockers! Several lockers were robbed yesterday downstairs including mine. I lost $500 worth of goods and when I went to tell the staff they told me this is a normal occurrence. Their emergency alarm doesn't go off and it leads directly into the basement making it a great place for people to steal from goodlife customers. I heard they are doing nothing to change this and are letting criminals into the premise on a weekly basis to have a festival of stealing our goods. I will have to get in touch with police about it because they don't have cameras downstairs and don't seem to care about whether or not their customers are getting robbed on a monthly basis. Great facilities though and friendly staff, but when you can lose $500-$1000 dollars on any given workout, makes me thing twice about going here again.
Called to put my membership on hold on Nov 11 at 12: 39 PM since I was told by my doctor to rest my injured shoulder. Guy I spoke with said everything looks good and that they could only put it on hold for min.of 4 weeks and the next charge would be made by mid-December. Surprised that I was charged the fee today, Nov 13. I called them up to ask what happened. I was told my membership was never put on hold and that they are not allowed to freeze/cancel memberships over the phone. Lady I spoke with was rude and never even apologized for the wrong info I was given.
The facility is nice but the people who work there not so. I moved there from the Dufferin-Steeles location but since they closed that down, I moved to this location. You can see the difference between the 2 locations. Dufferin-Steeles pips treat you with respect. Here? Well, go figure.
Cancelling my membership and moving to another gym. Never deal with people who don't know what they are doing.
Finch & Dufferin location have a problem with thief’s coming in and cutting padlocks and stealing members valuables. And management does nothing to protect Goodlife members. With other people asking management to install small safety boxes at the front desk the answer was - “Yes, but don’t know when”. It means, it can take 3 to 6 month or never. In general the gym is clean.
Very unprofessional staff. Constantly making jokes and never taking things seriously. Have had such a terrible experience at Goodlife Fitness Dufferin. This one employee her name is Shriya or something completely the rudest person ive ever met in my entire life. Will definitely not be coming back nor recommending.
Wonderful gym! Great positive atmosphere. I love this place to exercise plenty of machines and helpful staff and passionate. The gym location is fantastic. I would like to highly recommended.
Nice, clean gym with a variety of equipment and a friendly atmosphere. Usually not too busy, and the equipment seems well-maintained and safe. The staff are great and will answer your questions, and it's awesome of GoodLife to offer free teen memberships in the summer.
Thanks for all the comments, Decided not to use this place if the locks are not secured and stealing is a common issue. Sad to see members being treated like this by a reputed brand.
A hammer strength abdominal crunch machines will be a good addition to the gym. I have to go to a different gym just to get access to the hammer strength abdominal crunch machine.
This is a very good location. Easily available via public transit, there's a nice big pool for Aquafit or just for swimming laps when not in use for a class. Yoga class as well as the standard weights equipment. ADDED BONUS: On-site childcare.
The worst service I ever had in my experience with Goodlife Fitness. Always no towels is available in the evening and staff is not friendly as well. Shame on you Management.
The gym is clean-ish and the staff is friendly but this place is always packed. My usual hour long workout takes 1.5 hours because you spend so much time looking for machines that aren't taken. Not to mention that the other people exercising here aren't as friendly as the staff.
Worst and rudest staff of all the goodlife locations. Will insult you to your face if you dont sign up for extras. Go to basically any other one but avoid this one like the plague.
I love this gym but it’s very busy, I find it really hard to complete my body workouts routines on time. Besides it’s very hot in the gym sometimes especially when it’s very humid outside and the same in the groupe fitnesse room, and I really hate it when people come in turn all the lights on it’s not like they’re gonna sew a dress lol why do people need so much lights to workout I don’t understand it. I don’t think I’ll renew my contract after it’s done. I really hope I will but I always want to feel comfortable and relaxed when it comes to workouts.
Great location. Very clean, great variety of equipment, and friendly staff. Very large pool on site & lots of parking. GoodLife pricing in general is not the greatest though. $60/month for a basic membership is more than double Planet Fitness and Fit4Less. (Although, mind you, they don’t have pools)
Clean, busy gym, very good equipment. Group lesson like: Zumba, Yoga, Body Combat, Steps. There’s sauna, indoor swimming pool, restrooms are spotless. Great costumer service, personal training is awesome. Cycling class also.
Sufficient parking and very clean gym. Place could definately be improved by adding more squat racks and benches in the dumbbell area considering the large amount of members that are there everyday between 5-10. There are somedays you can wait up to 30 minutes for a free squat rack.
When i join to this goodlife i sad i will use only the pool, but evry time i am going there there is same classis i am not aloud too used, now thay asking me too pay fee for cancel the membership and the souna is evry time is cold inside,
