GoodLife Fitness Toronto Yonge Eglinton Centre

For everyone who wants to sign a personal trainer contract at Goodlife Fitness, think twice! Here are some points to consider:

1) Expect canceled sessions. My trainers frequently canceled sessions, often with flimsy excuses like 'I didn't sleep well', ‘dog had a diarrheal all night’.
2) Want to opt out? Prepare to pay a hefty fee. They asked me for 20% of the entire year's fee just to cancel.
3) Management is unhelpful. In particular, there's a manager named Victor who couldn't resolve a single issue I brought up. When I asked to talk to his manager, he just ghosted me. Very unprofessional.
4) The gym's infrastructure leaves much to be desired. It's cramped, constantly crowded, and you're always waiting for benches. To add insult to injury, the wifi is horrendous.
5) If you're seriously considering a personal trainer, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I was charged almost $450 for 6 sessions a 2 weeks (of which 2 were usually canceled, manager Victor said and I quote “there is some level of this that is to be expected”.) There are independent trainers out there who charge as low as $300 and offer better commitment.
6) Consistency is key when working with a personal trainer, but I had 3 different trainers in less than 8 months. This constant change is detrimental to progress as each trainer has their own methodology and approach. Just when you get comfortable and build a rapport with one, you're shifted to another. This severely hampers the training process and personal growth.

Honestly, save your money and your time. This isn't worth the hassle.

Great job for the whole entire team keeping it safe and clean for all the member especially during the pandemic. The manager, David has a nice welcoming smile and greets me with a towel whenever I visit. Would recommend anyone who lives in the area to check it out!

Terrible staff who will try to force you into having a personal trainer. Gym is too small would not recommend going here. Overall bad environment

I’ve been coming to this location for over a year now and absolutely love it. It is a great community of people that are respectful and kind. April is my trainer and she is incredible. She knows what she is talking about and pushes you to your limits!

Be careful with the subscription. There’s a lot of sugarcoating while getting the membership. A lot of grey area while cancelling it. It’s mostly crowded. They don’t have all the inclusions in this branch, so you’ll have to go to other gym to use those services.

Most of the tredmills machines are "down for maintence" and have been for quite some time now. Everytime i go i feel like its getting less cleanly. They barely have any group fitness classes anymore, and they close really early on weekends, what am i paying for? It sucks that this is really the only goodlife in this area that has parking, cause this would be my last choice if it didnt. Parking btw will still cost you $5-$10.

I would really only go to this gym if you absolutely have to because any other full-size goodlife will make this place look like a dump. Not only does this place need to find a way to expand, but it has way too many cardio machines compared to the rest of the space in the gym. People are on top of each other trying to stretch before going into the gym that has narrow walkways that force you to intrude on people performing exercises.

Maybe this place could be like a good life express that would cost half the price, then I would consider making this my home gym.

Also, why are there so many “personal trainers“ floating around? I truly believe some of them are exceptional, but others look like they stumbled in from a planet fitness.

I go to this club with my daughter and I love it because the environment and great staff make it feel like a little gym family. It’s nice to be a regular here and have a community of support.

Nice, cozy gym. There're all for your needs - free weights, variety cardio machine, high quality resistance machine. Friendly, easy going staff. I like it.

Greta facility, clean change rooms. Staff are helpful and always strive to make my experience better.

I am not happy with the service at all …the girls standing in the front desks they are just talking and not checking the shower room. I told one of the lady the dry suna is off can u plz turn it on
she said no it s Off which I came special for dry suna whenever I go the dry Suna s OFF and the equipment is not disinfect it gives smell I am paying every month it’s not worth it to come this location they don’t even have enough equipment to workout

Amazing gym. Very open and very nice employees. There is a pretty good amount of equipment. And great classes. Great for teens too. Overall amazing.

My FAVOURITE GoodLife Club. I've been to so many GL's around Toronto and this is by far the cleanest location I've been to. The staff are super friendly, helpful and full of energy. All the members of the club are also super friendly too. Look no further, you'll fall in love with working out at the Yonge & Eglinton GoodLife

Pleased to see GoodLife following all SOPs. Friendly staff, clean spaces. I wish there were more group classes though. Also, the room is large so number of people should be increased from 4 to 6.

All the Staff are friendly and amazing! You can see they work hard and diligently to keep the club clean and safe. All the rules are followed!
For a smaller club There is a lot of space, and never a need to wait for the equipment that you need.
The members are all very polite and no one is intimidating.
10/10 gym! If you like a clean gym that doesn't get too busy, go try it out!

Front desk staff are very friendly and make a point to remember your name staff and other members of a supporter of those trying to get into fitness

I have been going to this GYM for 2 years, before and during the pandemic. The staff are very professional, equipments are working great and they are always clean and sanitized. If you (like me) are looking for small or mid-size GYM because of its cozy and friendly atmosphere, it is highly recommended

So amazing to have my gym reopen.was a little anxious at first but thankfully the gym has taken great measures to ensure safety.feeling great about the protocols.after my first week back.

This is hands down the best gym I've been to anywhere in the GTA! I've been a regular member at this location for over a year (4-5x per week). The staff are amazing, funny, helpful and eager to assist members achieve their goals. Even the managers are on the floor lending support and working with members. The gym is always clean and its smaller size makes the experiences all the more 'charming'. There is an amazing mix of new and regular members that also help to enhance the atmosphere. I cannot say enough about this GoodLife - except maybe - keep up the great work!

Been coming here for a couple years now. Fantastic front desk staff. Gym was recently renovated and looks amazing. Giving it 4 stars because it can get crowded really fast. But I consider it to be one of the better Goodlifes in terms of atmosphere.

Gym is pretty good, but now you have to pay 50% of parking fees (used to get 2hrs. Free), this will now cost me $240 per month (5 days a week) + membership fees, that’s nuts.

Place is small as compared to other locations, has most of the regular equipment.will find too many personal trainers around you in the gym! Crowded most of the time.

It's a tiny gym. Can get crowded at various times in the day. Saw a cockroach in the locker room that was taken care of quickly. The staff are very friendly and the machines seem to all be in good condition. The classes are real fun.

Their customer service rep is like a arrogant and unrespectful. My cooperation membership was activated couple days ago. No one told me I need to go back during their regular business hours for a new tag (not their opening hour). What make it worst, the customer service rep- kadeem Cadem, refuse to provide me towel even I show him the prove of payment and everything. Worst club ever, I will put it in Twitter and CBC.

I have had more than one trainer at this location. All of them have contributed to my goals and have been amazing to work with.

I’ve been training & workout at Yonge & eglinton location for over 6 months now. It’s not very big, but it has enough machines for everyone to workout during the middle mornings. The staffs are friendly, and place is clean. I appreciate everyone there trying very hard for us.

Lovely place, clean and fresh air always, the towels always snow-white clean, wonderful staff from the reception resk to the training team. Great job, guys!
The maintenance guys are always hands on buffing and sanitizing the machines and the work-out equipment.
Been so impressed by James, he is taking his job very serious. He doesn't leave the equipment until he is sure that every little detail was cleaned and sparkly.

It's conveniently located in the mall for a quick work out before watching a movie but the ongoing construction mess for the past number of years has created a detour to access from the subway.renovated gym that's smaller than their other clubs makes it busy during peak times

Tiny space with very limited equipments, have to wait everytime. The personal trainer takes up a lot of space for their private training and have no intention to treat other members with respect and fair. Very disappointed. Would NOT RECOMMEND!

This club/branch of good life is not as big as most. While they offer classes and a decent range of equipment, this location easily gets crowded during peak hours. There are plenty of trainers around able to help but you may have to wait to use a specific piece of equipment if you go during the busier hours. If you go during off hours, the place is easily yours.

I really like Goodlife.this location is great/on direct subway line.small club but they have rearranged the machines since I last visited and it is bright and roomy.great room for classes also. Of course the staff is always super.

Perfect gym imo, has everything to workout properly, a little bit smaller but because of that also more personal.definitely a recommendation

How are these gyms attracting people? They are dirty! The people don't clean up after themselves! And the service is just ridiculous.pay more, less go somewhere else! Or don't pay at all - stay home, at least you won't contract a disease!: (

I used to like this gym until they didn’t have towels for three days in a row. Very inconvenient and disappointing

Nice little gym for busy midtown people who want to get a quick workout in. Staff are friendly and equipment is solid. Nice space with tall ceilings and big windows. It is definitely a small gym, and it can feel hard to even move during peak times. Not a ton of machines either. Good if you're cardio-oriented or just want to get short, basic workout in. If you're more regimented, don't like waiting for machines, lift, and want more space and amenities, the Dunfield location down the street is a better option for you.

Small club, but the friendliest staff of any location I've been to! Great classes & instructors, and the change room isn't crowded during peak times.
