Halibut House Fish & Chips

My senior friend likes to stop here all the time when we are travelling through.and I must say the food is delicious! The service is great! He is 88 years old and remembers fondly going to this place with his late wife many years ago while living in Uxbridge. Highly recommended!

Great customer service! Very friendly and welcoming. Fish was delicious but their fries were oily and a bit hard.

Wow, unfortunately the worst Fish and Chips ever. Nice pleasant workers, but the food was off. After eating it I thought ewww strange texture and taste. Figured old oil, and then read reviews and everybody is complaining about the same thing. OLD OIL, rubbery batter, fries were off too. Sorry Halibut House but you failed poorly!

Lost my wallet and was having a pretty horrible day because of it. The lady (possibly owner) brightened up my day by being a sweetheart and also giving me a Free drink. Not to mention the fish was delightful

Disappointed when open my order in the car.
20$ just for onion rings and fish in a small box definitely not a good value.

Been looking forward to coming here for 18 months, terribly disappointed today had two pieces of grilled halibut and chips and a glass of water
The fish was difficult to cut (could have done with a steak knife) hard to chew like leather and was pretty well tasteless
Had to eat it as I was very hungry but really a total waste of $38.30
I would not recommend this particular meal other options on the menu may be okay

Grilled Halibut was very thin and tasteless! The seafood chowder was so salty that we had to send it back! I rated 2 stars as the service was good! It’s a shame as this place used to be Awesome with really good grilled halibut!

Great deals during the week. Large portions of fish even the children's size. Fries are not grease soaked. Very friendly person taking order and cashier.

Not at all impressed with the shrimp, scallops and onion rings. The taste was just off and the onion rings were too thin with almost no onion.
The young lady who took care of us was very sweet and efficient. Shame the food isn't great.
That little box cost $20+tax

The halibut was absolutely delicious with the tartar sauce. It was my first time trying it and I loved it. The chips were crispy and it was filling.

Had the Halibut and onion rings. The Halibut did not taste or look like Halibut. Server insured the square pieces are Halibut Otherwise service was good.

This was my first and last time here. Food was definitely under cooked, fries were raw in the middle and others were rubbery. Fish was mostly batter and under cooked. Service was subpar I did take out and the lady with whom took my order was very nice but kept getting confused with my simple request to add 1 more piece of fish. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the portions weren't half bad. Definitely won't be going back or recommending.

Visited this place on Saturday afternoon, ordered the seafood platter, fish and chips and fish tacos everything was delicious and service was great.

My family and I have been regulars when we are at our trailers in Port Perry. Good food and excellent service. Try it for breakfast as well. Patio servise to. Cold beer and great desert selection.

This place is extraordinary and spacious, the menu was delightful and the prices were very affordable.quickly, productive service and very personal staff. Recommended.

The Halibut is always absolutely delicious, especially from this location.
We got it to go and it was still awesome when we got home.
You just know that it's going to be great.

I chose to take out my order. We each got a large piece of Halibut and fries, they both were delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also added breaded shrimp which we love and enjoyed a lot. The service was very quick and efficient. I would definitely go back to this restaurant very soon.

The fish and chips where very good a good size fish too l got the special for $ 9.99 but I should have gotten the regular price one a lot bigger

The wife and I have been eating here for years, within the last couple years it's changed owners. The quality of food and customer service has seriously declined. Got five breaded shrimp for $10! That was an appetizer for two people. I don't know about you but five doesn't split up evenly. Walked out of there paying more for a meal than at Red lobster and I'm still hungry. Oh well move on time to find another place.

Halibut and chios was ok but it was +19C outside and colder than that inside. Our food was cold before we could finish it.
