Halibut House Fish & Chips

Got the halibut and chips and the fish portion is quite large. It came out fresh, hot and quick. Will be coming back!

We ordered fish and chips for take out and the taste was bad. Fish not fresh and the oil in which the fish and chips were fried tasted old and bad.

Food was good but waitress was rude and swearing refused to make coffee for us. If she’s there again I will leave.

Fish was really good but the Greek salad was really big peaces of Lettuce and tomatoes. And we were not big fan of the salad dressing.

My guilty pleasure! Love coming here on Sunday or Monday for the Haddock and Chips special. I prefer getting less chips and more coleslaw. The chips were perfectly cooked today. Shoutout to Victoria who helped us out. She was hilarious! Way to go!

Used to come to this place as a child. Decided to check it out again and was disappointed. We ordered take out halibut fish and chips and when we got home there was no coldslaw. In addition the fries looked and tasted old, it was as if they refried the fries, weather fries were wrinkly and deflated. I’m hoping it was just an off day, but was really disappointed this time around.

Worst fries ever. Fish keeps getting smaller and they treat packages of tarter sauce like gold with only 2 per meal. Never coming back ever again. Guess I have to back to the racist spot across the road.

The halibut house's fish and chips is very good. The batter is light, not greasy and cooked to a golden colour. They give a very good size of fish as well as lots of fresh cut fries with their meal. I really enjoyed the halibut and I think you would too.

They also have a good covid process where customers are asked to wait outside while the meal is being prepared and given a pager to tell them to come back inside when the order is ready

Very disappointing! The food was tasteless. An additional item I had ordered was not included. No proper detailed bill. Won't be getting food from here again.

Big slice of Haddock with homestyle fries sweet tangy mayo and a rain drenched evening drive in Markham. What better way to spend a lockdown sunday evening?

Good service and great food, wife's addicted. Only concern would be if they would seat every other booth for social distancing.

We have gone here for breakfast a couple times and it is always really delicious! The price is amazing for what you get, a real winner in my books.

The staff is super friendly and always on the ball with our order and the kitchen is always crazy fast at making our food.

We haven’t tried the fish and chips yet but its next on our list!

Ive been a frequent customer at this location, however recently the people picking up the phone have been beyond rude. I am very frustrated and will never return to this location.

Halibut House has done what other successful food chains have done. From store to store the quantity, quality, price and taste is the same, that’s a good thing, NO surprises!
I’ve eaten at HH in New Market, Aurora, Pickering, Port Perry and our favourite Markham.
