Halibut House Fish & Chips Ajax

Had fish and chips daily special, sole in light batter with chips.freshly prepared. Quick and friendly service. It's a fish and chips restaurant standard atmosphere, very clean.

Great food! They bread their fish perfectly and it's not too greasy! They have really good home cut fries and their gravy is so damn good!

I actually go out of my way to visit this place! And they have an amazing bakery/donut shop.

Had terrible fish and chips for good Friday. Ordered halibut but had supper fishy smell and was very tough and stringy. Normally is ok but wouldn't buy again.

Excellent place for fish and chips but get the halibut it's the best fish and well done fries there better that way

DO NOT ORDER their chicken souvlaki dinner. The rice was bland, the chicken was bland and I’m almost certain the salad would have been bland if it wasn’t for the dressing it came with. If you’re going to offer other options for those that don’t eat seafood, do a taste test before you make it available to the general public.

Definitely NOT worth the $20 spent!

After seeing Halibut House the last two times I was in town, I tried it today.

The location wasn’t busy; there were only two other people when I came in and one other person came in to place a to-go order while I was there.

I ordered the special, one piece with chips and coleslaw. The food was tasty—I appreciate the coleslaw especially.

The service was friendly and quick, portion sizes are huge for the price, and it’s conveniently located.

The only thing was the cod.nice big piece but mostly batter. Everything else was great. Get the jalopena cornbread!
