Henry's Fish & Chips

I come from a British family who eats fish and chips on a consistent basis. I can confidently say the quality of the fish is proper. The portion is decent. Although it’s expensive, you pay for what you get. I know of less expensive places for the same meal but choose to come here to be satisfied. The staff is friendly and quick. I’ve never had to wait for a seat even though it does get busy. I prefer to eat my meal in restaurant, it’s best to have the fish batter & fries crispy!

I would love to recommend this place for chips and fish. I loved the flavour and breading. This for me the best chips I’ve have ever eaten.

Ordered our meals there today for Good Friday. So efficient. Was a little but of a wait but we had preordered. Got our food, came home and my meal was not in the bag. Had to drive back. The people working were so pleasent considering how busy they were. The provided me with my meal within 5 mins and I have to say it was the best halibut I have had in a while. Great job guys

Dined in on a sunday having the lunch special fries we’re as delicious as I remember from my childhood but the fish was so greasy I’m not sure if it’s the oil or what because the fish inside 10/10 but the batter atop was so greasy I stopped eating the fish I’m not sure if the fryer is old or maybe the oil has issues but the owner needs to give some a try

Fries are in small pieces only few were in normal sizes. They should find the way for a better cut. Small pieces after frying become crunchy like chips. I like a good taste of potatoes.

Order by phone for pick up 6pm. Food ready at 6: 15. The place was very busy dine in and take out. Fish hot, fresh and with a great batter. Very good thick chips with gravy. Decent coleslaw. Staff Very friendly and polite.

I have been eating at Henry's fish-and-chips since 2014! I love this establishment so much as hands down it's the best fish-and-chips in the GTA! The Alaskan Halibut is my go to dining in or taking out!

Expensive.but.good quality food and the best bang for your buck to be honest.

Awesome service and very kind waiter. I went yesterday with my boyfriend and brother and everyone enjoyed their meal cant wait to come back again.food was hot and fresh yet the prices were good!

Had this waitress named Emma, what a great job and excellent service. Restaurant is very clean, food is fast and hot.

Great service as always. Order via the phone, and food was ready by pick up. The server was great! Food was delicious as always. I prefer here over heritage fish and chips, I feel like the oil is changed more often here and doesn't end up hurting my stomach as heritage fish and chips does.

My girlfriend and I have tried another fish and chips restaurant near the 410 and were very disappointed, so we thought we would try Henry's and we TOTALY enjoyed the Cod and French fries. Some of the best we have ever had. The fries were cooked just enough.perfect.the Cod was crispy with a nice thin batter, and moist and flaky.perfect. When we saw a lot of seniors dining there, I knew we had come to the right place. Our waitress was so polite, attentive, and fast. We feel like we have found a diamond in the rough. 5X for sure and we will be back many times

Such a classic and vintage feeling atmosphere food was amazing and our server was fantastic, would 100% go again!

We have ordered from here quite a few times and it seems like whoever was the cook tonight does not know quality food or even how to cook basic fries. The fries were drenched in oil, they were soggy, not crispy at all and were definitely not fresh! We paid for 2 extra orders of fries too so it was very disappointing and a big waste of money since they all went in the garage as no one (4 people) wanted to eat them after trying them. My mum said the fish was ok.quite small though and the onion rings were the only thing we enjoyed. We called to complain but she told us to call uber to get a refund back and did not seem to care or have any customer service skills. Uber eats is not going to refund us since it is not their fault. We will not be ordering from here again!

I went ahead and asked about the concern that I had in regards to Fish, Chicken and Fries being fried in the same oil. I am only able to eat Fish ONLY if it's not fried in the same oil as Chicken. After I received the confirmation of Fish, Chicken and Fries being fried in a separate oil, I was able to place the order for Cod & Chips and I loved every bit of it. I would highly recommend visiting this place if you are around the area

The both good and service were very good. The Greek salad was very fresh and delicious. The halibut was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend both.

My son and I visit Henry's Fish & Chips often. Always fresh fish. Fish size is small, but good taste.if you order for take out, please double check your bag to ensure everything ordered are in the bag!

I love the food but every time I eat there it makes me very sick i keep throwing up becareful my fish was super oily I touched it the oil was all over my hands it literally dripped oil. The desserts are amazing I guess cause they don't need oil haha the shrimp was under cooked which made me very sick as soon as I came home was throwing up Also the fries where ok but had not to much flavor they put way to much oil and grease into the food the waitresses are nice but then owner and the Punjabi guy are kind of ride they are always staring when you are eating and the Guy doesn't even know English how can you own a store but not know English my God get your act together not going back there ever again

Worst fish & chip experience ever. The restaurant was almost empty at the ending of our meal and our table had to wait over half an hour & ask 3 separate times for the bill. I also received a dirty cup of water two times in a row. Definitely will not be visiting again.

Always friendly staff, barely any wait time even for walk in orders, food is always amazing and their rice pudding is heavenly:)

This place has the best tasting fish! Workers are very friendly. Food portions are so generous! This is the place to go if you are in Brampton

Very good fish and chips if you decide to eat there.if you decide to take out by the time you get home the fries are trash and fish is soggy as expected, not their fault. The oil is CLEAN kitchen is clean no complaints. 4 star because of price relative to portion sise.

Best fish & chips in town. Henry's fish and chips is as authentic as it gets. The staff here is amazing as well. They always make you feel warm and welcome.

Place is clean and decent. I had fish and chips daily special. Fish tasted good however the chips (fries) are bad. They were soft and tasteless. May be it tastes that way not sure. But it didn't appeal to me.

This was a very first time there with the new owners! So needless to say its been a long time since I've been here! The fish and chips were the best tasting I have had from anywhere in a very long time! I also had a order of battered mushrooms, love the way they prepare them (in pieces instead of full mushrooms) no burning of the mouth with all the water retention in full mushrooms! Great job guys. Freiendly service.
We will be going back.

Ok food, the fish was kinda soggy at not really crispy at all.unfortunate i like crispy fish not soggy.i guess this isnt the place for me.

Have been coming here for years.
Once in a while the fish gets overdone or not prepared perfectly but usually everything is perfect. It has become pricey so our frequency of coming out here has dropped form once a week to once or twice a month.

I’ve been getting takeout from here for years but ever since minimum wage went up the portions and quality have gone down tremendously. Tonight was my last and final time ordering from here it’s not worth the price

Great service and the food was perfect. The prices we very good also. All for a delightful meal at what I call a diner style restaurant. One caution: in the same plaza is a Henry's Restaurant and a Henry's Camera Store. Keep in mind camera's are rather difficult to digest.

Was my first and Definitely my last time! Fish, super greasy, gross! Was dripping oil down my fingers when I touched it. Not only that but there's barely any fish given whatsoever and price is high.
Other place I go to is closed sundays so I thought I'd go here and try them out.
Wasted my money! My dog was pleased though cause that's who ended up eating it.thumbs down all the way. Dont waste ur money getting haddock and chips from this place. Boo!
