Bad Staff Support, not recommended for a Canadian Gym they blamed us for making noise in the change rooms (power abuse) new managment Please.otherwise good equipment

Today, I received a distressing call from a friend who was working out at LA Fitness, requesting assistance to pick her up as she was unable to walk home following a troubling incident. It's shocking to realize that in a country that places great importance on women's rights, such disrespectful treatment can occur. As a man, it saddens me that I had to intervene to hold them accountable for their poor treatment of my friend.
This experience serves as a reminder for everyone to be aware of their rights and to never tolerate mistreatment. It's disheartening that instances like these still happen, and I share this review with the hope that others will stand up against any form of disrespect or mistreatment they may encounter.

Very spacious and prime location. Often quite busy during peak hours but definitely enough equipment and areas to revolve around. There are individual classes in various rooms including spin, yoga, dance, any many other activities that are available with membership which people patrons participate in. Tall ceilings and the fact that the gym is quite new makes the place very attractive.

My experience at L. A. Fitness on Yonge and Sheppard in North York has been quite mixed. On the positive side, they offer amazing classes with dedicated instructors who really know their stuff. The other staff members are friendly and helpful, which makes the atmosphere pleasant.

However, there's a noticeable downside to this location, and it centers around the management. Unfortunately, the manager, Kimberly, doesn't exhibit good customer service skills. It's a shame because a good manager can set the tone for the entire gym experience. Moreover, the cleanliness of this gym leaves much to be desired. The presence of mold in the showers is concerning, and it's disappointing that this issue hasn't been addressed more effectively.

Waited at the front entrance to check out the gym for almost a half hour after the receptionist said someone was coming. The sales reps were on their phones at their desks or having their own conversations. So I left. Not a great first impression.

They need to fix the parking situation, I parked my car and I was a minute late and they charged me $4, worst LA

I went there to use the gym as a guest while I was on holidays in Toronto. I was greeted by Kevin who provided me with outstanding service. Definitely recommend this place.

Good swimming pools, not crowded, the gym after 6pm is full lots and lots of people, new and nice equipment, nice indoor basketball court, good service

The manager insists saying “go back to your country “ is not racist so I give one star review as a kind of compliment.

I really want to like this gym, but the locker and washroom area are just dirty. The floors are almost muddy because the people that go to this gym does not have any discipline. They walk around all wet from the shower or pool. The weights area are all over the place. People don’t even bother to put back the weights they used to where they took it. If the customers have no discipline, the gym itself tolerates it. Everyday, nobody even bothers to fix the weights. You’d have to walk around multiple times to find the other half of a dumbbell. The pool is also cloudy! It is so gross. Honestly, a gym this big, they should have cleaners who constantly cleans up the floors in the locker areas. It honestly does not worth the money.

I visited in January. Therefore, it is busier than usual because of all weight loss, New Year's resolutions, but it was way messier than other branches at the same time of the year. No dumbbells were at it place. They left everywhere with no order, I kind of cooled down even before I started while finding a dumbbell. A good number of the treadmills were out of service. Other than that, it was a very modern look and newly built gym with all amenities. Hair dryer is available, which I could not see in other branches. You have underground parking for members for 2 hours, but you have to validate your ticket upstairs in the gym.

The female personal trainer is rude and being racist. I’m leaving LA fitness because of her. She should get fired. What a trash!

Used to be better, definitely accepted over capacity, you need to wait for every single use of equipment, dumble and hulter not for a reasonable time!
And at least you could assign someone to keep the gym organized. People bringing stuff around and not turning back, you need to spend half of your time to locate what you need.

It is very good gym having lots of facilities like swimming pool, basketball court and squash court.
They have 2 floors with lots of machines.
Go and try out they have good membership plans also.
And its not a paid review.

Dudes working at the counter act like they own the place, and they are absolutely disrespectful to people.they're children trapped inside of body of a man, and not surprisingly, they have huge egos with no brain to back it up.

I have been to many other locations and this one at yonge and sheppard is the one that stinks the most! And it stinks BAD, bad enough that I sometimes have to leave before I’m actually finished, or skip my sets cause I cant stand the strong smell on the machine (due to how hard the previous person sweat on it! And obviously did not wipe after him/herself)! The management needs to put more focus on deodorizing the place! And sanitizing the machines more often!
also to those people who do not care about self hygiene, DON’t come to a public gym! Do your work out at home!
Please, be aware of other people’s sensitivity! It can’t be fair for those who do care!

Amazing location so clean stuff is fantastic equipment is well maintained well presented and the other members are very courteous!

This review is specifically regarding the front desk. Kim is the perfect front desk attendant. She is always pleasant and welcoming and when ever you have a suggestion for the club she is more than willing to listen and where possible act on the suggestion. She would be well used in training new hirees.

Pouya was of great assistance and helped me and my girlfriend get set up with the best plan for us. Strongly recommend visiting him for all your needs. Thanks again Pouya!

Go to Pouya for memberships. I just moved from Mexico, he set me up with the best plan and gave me advice for settling in as well. The best service! Shout out to him.

Momo was absolutely great with my husband and I today! He showed us the gym and was very kind and welcoming. Gym is also great and clean, veeeery big and so much space!

No bad overall. The only problem is parking. 2 hours limit is not enough since I would appreciate if they could increase the time limit to 3 hours

Great location and facilities. Pouya was very helpful in explaining the membership details and signing us up.

I got a guest pass and was never my intention to join. Why? Because I already have a membership somewhere else but when I got there, one of the people that worked there gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. I knew someone would try and call me into joining and I thought I was prepared to turn them down until I met Arsalan. He wasn't pushy and that is what I like. Good job Arsalan!

I like LA FITNESS Yonge branch and Arsalan give me an amazing service and was more than helpful.

Amazing facility. Great equipment, environment, and staff. Omid, the general manager is supper friendly and professional, Pedram, one of the managers in the PT department is a beast, the sales staff Arsalan, Fara, and the other guys provide great service and the front desk staff are always nice and greet you when checking in. Love this location, highly recommended.

Very happy to be a member. The studio is clean, bright, nice environment. Open space, lots of machines. Diego, our membership advisor, was very friendly, accommodating and helpful.

Diego in Yonge-Shepard location was really helpful to find out the best option for my husband and I. I really appreciate his advice for our new gym journey. I hope we can see him in Keele location.

Very clean. Lots of equipment. Everyone follows the covid rules. Super spacious. Lots of lockers. Very nice environment. Music not obnoxiously loud. Everyone is pretty quiet and respectful to each other. Lots of different classes throughout the day. Workers are helpful and nice.

I went in to go and get a membership for this gym and Diego and the team were amazing. They helped me get a great deal and made me feel very comfortable with the process!

-Lots of equipment and swimming pool but missing some machines like supported t-bar row, standing hamstring curl, flat hammer press etc.

-Asian girl at the front with highlights has some serious attitude and needs a reality check.

In the grand scheme of things its a decent gym and gets the job done but they need to get some friendly staff asap.

The free parking only 2 hours which is not enough. Just to find a parking takes 10-15 minutes plus elevator 5, shower 15, dress up 10.3 hours of free parking would be great.

Customer service is a joke here. We don’t pay the signature fee so that you can pull up resting b face at the counter and give us everytime we walk in alright? Simple welcome/hi is YOUR job. Not ignoring your customers and standing there like you don’t exist.

Korey and Chantel were awesome in showing me around the gym space. They were so incredibly welcoming, real, and genuine. If you're looking for a place to not only workout, but also find connection, ask for Korey and Chantel.

Good facilities and friendly staff but, incredibly inconvenient if you are a driver. Parking garage is always packed from Longos customers, elevators from garage to the gym always seems to take forever (sometimes doesn’t even come, even after pressing the button a couple of times), and the gym doesn’t validate your ticket. You’re forced to talk to the easily irritable security guards and tell them you’re a member in order for you to exit the garage. Pretty frustrating every time I come to this location which is unfortunately the closest gym to my home.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at an L. A. Fitness.unfriendly/unwelcoming staff and lack of equipment. Would not recommend this location.

The facility is good but the employees are not professional. That asian woman in the front with blonde highlights always give people attitude when they come in. Honestly, I don’t know who we have to complain more to get their negativity trained. You guys need to hire people who’s actually happy to be there. It you don’t like your job, then quit. Don’t bother the company’s paying customers.

Worse location since hard to find parking and dropoff for passengers. Also appointments get changed adding more stress for clients and their friends

My husband and I joined together and it was the best decision. I've been wanting to get back into bootcamp classes and aerobics but everywhere was far, expensive, and no where for my 2 little boys to hang out. As a busy mom who works overnight, I needed something family friendly. LA Fitness was the answer. We dealt with Kory and Chantel and let me tell you how friendly, patient and knowledgeable they are. They answered every question we had and made sure we were happy at the end of this experience. My only suggestion as a previous childcare worker would be to add a bin of age appropriate toys for the little ones who attend he kids club. Other than that, fantastic facility. Ohhhhh and Lindsey, one of the HIIT instructors, is so fantastic! Great workout and great results/motivation.

Great use of space! Would never believe all this would fit in that space in the shopping centre, even a nice sized pool.

Terrible! Got injured and wanted to cancel. Have to go in person to cancel and manager not working on weekends so creates work for customer to call again. Worst service. Careless.

First my visiting to LA fitness in north York as a trial, I wasn’t expecting how clean gym is that and well organized equipments

I tried this club for free trial however definitely will start a membership with them, the structure is huge with allachines you could need, a pool and special mention to the kickboxing and zumba class! Very good and efficient club.

Clean, bright, never overcrowded.and has all the equipment and extra programs that I need. My kinda gym.

The Gym is bright, spacious (only during mid day) and the staff are friendly. BUT, it is lacking in a couple of essentials for the premium membership fee that is charged. Such as a recovery sauna and stretching space, which can be incredibly discouraging after a work out. It's rare to find an area with wide berth to stretch comfortably. LA doesn't seem to care about stretching and recovery after a work out. Even when the 3 person tiny stretching area is at capacity you are still not allowed to use the empty yoga studio to stretch. Everyday I continue to see fast growth in new memberships. Monday to Friday, 5pm-8pm the basketball courts and stretching areas are overcrowded and continue to worsen as summer approaches. The men's storage lockers also have a serious amount of hair in them, I don't think they are cleaned often enough.

Very unprofessional and disrespectful staff especially the general manager Paulo.the pool is always under maintenance, the hair dryers are not working, cold water in the showers are not working, don't waste your money.

The gym itself is good, but WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Has all you really need from a gym, however everything is a little small. Gym section could have deadlift flooring and basketball court could be bigger (size of small highschool gym)

LA fitness "signature" special and expensive which price is more than other locations. Should has jacuzzi and dry sauna, It doesn't make sense that price be more, but the facilities less
People need jacuzzi after workout and dry sauna and aquafit, this is big big problem, please build jacuzzi for tired people after workout

For anyone driving to our location, the parking garage is located inside “Yonge Sheppard Centre” on Doris Ave in between Sheppard Ave and Greenfield Ave. Expect delays in finding parking space and the elevator due to construction. Please plan your visit accordingly as we validate free parking for 2 hours.
