Insanely disappointed

The sales staff that signed me up was rude, arrogant, spelt my name wrong on my account, left to talk to a friend before I finished signing up, made sexist remarks towards my partner and unsold her, can’t shake a hand, make eye contact, form legible sentences, introduce themself, stay off a cell phone, wears enough cologne to choke a horse, then harasses you later.

I signed up because I wanted to use the equipment there and overlooked this… until

The same sales staff (not sure of name because he never introduced himself but the management referred to him a T Bone) approached me after I made a joke telling a guy signing up to make sure he gives him a great deal like he gave me (which isn’t true I got a normal price) and threatened to cancel my membership. I proceeded to tell him I was unsatisfied with my sign up experience for some of the reasons mentioned above. He called me a liar, continued to harass me and make a show in front of his other staff after I asked him to stop because I was trying to leave.

I had a sit down with management and asked them to make it right, and nothing.

As a 15 year veteran of the gym this has been my worst experience to date, they have done nothing but offer me passes to bring friends which wouldn’t attend after how I was treated.

Summary: They treated me horribly - Did nothing about it

I want to take the time to review my personal training experience here at LA Fitness Vega, I’ve had many trainers throughout my year of Personal Training and everyone’s been great but there’s been two who’s been outstanding and it’s been Tomas M and Alisha W.

Tomas is extremely knowledgeable on how health and fitness works, he doesn’t just blindly trains you but caters to your specific needs and really tries to educate you on why you’re doing a specific exercise and how to do it correctly. Also man does he push you to be better than you were yesterday; but don’t worry he will also help you keep that motivation up simultaneously. You will definitely see results and GAINS with Tomas.

Alisha is tremendously kind, outgoing, and easy to talk to, when you train with Alisha, you’re gonna feel like you have such a kind supportive best friend pushing you through those toughest reps. She is insanely knowledgeable about maintaining the right diet/calories and which exercise targets which muscles to maximize on your gains. Alisha’s kind, upbeat attitude, and EXCELLENT knowledge will help you truly achieve those fitness goals at last.

I couldn’t recommend both Tomas and Alisha enough, a major Thank you

The gym is good, lots of equipment. The staff was extremely helpful in accommodating me while I was visiting from out of town. Can’t wait to come back!

Maurice and Pranav helped me register for the 7 day pass very easily, had a good experience at the gym.

I will give one star.they close the gym anytime. Powerhouse gym was open and LA was closed 4 pm on Sunday.

The manager of this gym is a humble and empathetic person, hard-working and a good person.

The cleaning leader and her team make this gym a super comfortable place, always clean and one of the best in LA.

Gym is not clean, majority of the staff are not professional, lack of equipment and often missing, no paper towels most of the time and take long to fix machines.

Definitely a great gym to join with welcoming and helpful management and staff. Ray is one of the managers who helped me and my friends with our membership, very understanding person. Definitely recommend checking out this location. Lots of equipment with clean squash courts and swimming pool!

Unprofessional staff. Today a staff member accused myself and my friend of leaving all the equipment in the entire functional section, claiming a “strict” policy when it was like that when we got there (and always a mess). Then threatened us with camera footage but refused to actually look at them when he didn’t believe us.
This gym is consistently messy and unorganized at all times and on all days. There are no sanitary wipes to clean the equipment between uses.
I am disgusted by the way we were singled out and spoken too, especially since the standard at this gym has always been very low.

Huge changes in the cleanliness of this gym. I can clearly see that big changes in management or staff have occurred here recently. Pranav is a very diligent staff member who always goes out of his way to make a positive impression on all the members of the gym and surrounding community. Staff really seems to care about the members here not just sales

Cleanliness of the floor areas and between the equipment has improved quite a bit. However, 'Out of service' signs need to be placed on equipment that is not working. Maintenance manager needs to regularly inspect equipment.

I wanted to cancel the services and they make it really difficult. Cancellations are not allowed online and when you visit them, they allow cancelations only till 5 pm. But when it comes to enrolment, they allow it online, after 5 etc.

Staff: Not courteous and unprofessional
State of the gym: Usually disorganized and always crowded
Condition of the gym: Squash court door has been broken for months, usually at least one or 2 of the pulleys are out of order/broken
Facilities: Very good selection, but poorly maintained.

If it wasn't for the facilities they would get half a star.

I have been trying to cancel my membership there because I haven't been able to make use of the club for 8 months. I have been told I have to come in person between 9am and 5pm to cancel a membership. As these are my work hours I have been unable to attend. Interestingly they will sign up a new member in the evening or weekend, just not cancel a membership

This gym is to good to workout. All machines are good. The guy aezaz is very helpful and cooperative.

Worst experience. The management is not friendly or helpful. The sales team presented a totally different picture when I signed up for PT however the reality is very different. They are just there to mint money and not give you proper guidance. Please be wary of joining PT. Not a good gym for that. You’ll lose your money.

Attitude of the staff is very bad. Specially the person responsible for signing up. Rude, interrupting, pushy and disrespectful.

Great gym, lots of equipment. A lot of different choices for recreational activity, Just a busy location

This place is horrible. Staff is incompetent. I've been trying to cancel my membership for 4 weeks once a week with 0 action. I've been into the location originally to cancel. I get different stories everytime and then they take down my information telling me its going to be cancelled. Some person Daniela that seems to never be there or available to talk is supposed to cancel my membership and never gets it done nor do they recall me trying to cancel. WOW
