Needs more squat racks, row machines (especially the pulley row), and more chest fly options. Gets crowded after work hours and it becomes difficult to find the above options available

I recently gave LA Fitness a shot, and it left a positive impression. The place was cleaner than I expected for a gym, which was a pleasant surprise. The equipment was well-kept, and they offer quite a range. What really stood out was the friendly and welcoming staff. It made my first visit feel comfortable. All in all, LA Fitness seems like a good fit for my workout routine.

If you're looking for visible positive impact on your body, make sure to book Ehsan as your trainer. Ehsan is super knowledgable, cares about your progress, and exactly customizes the routines to your specific characteristics. Highly recommend him!

Good location, not 24hours so that's the only downside. Pool, sauna, women's section, showers, free classes with membership like yoga, cycling and Zumba. The staff are always nice and it's quick to tap your QR code for your membership and get started. There are lots of different trainers and so many different equipment that you can work every muscle possible.

Samir and Minda are great help wonderful people. Great gym atmosphere and friendly environment.

Love this gym, been here often. Courts, plenty of machines, never too busy. Highly reccomend.

I came to rejoin and paid $126.00 on the 14th of Dec.which was supposed to be taken on the 16th. Then the 2nd of January l was supposed to pay another annual fee and then another $55.00 again on the 15th l am extremelydisappointedas l was so looking forward to being a member after the pandemic. January

One of the worst LA fitness locations in North America.

Something seems to be broken/inoperational all the time. The men’s sauna needs to be fixed and it’s been such for over 4 months now.

The jacuzzi is not operational for almost a month now. Devices are pretty old and outdated and the shower rooms are filthy and broken.

The staff who are working there seem to not care at all.

We came to LA fitness and Minda helped us. He was super friendly and welcome and had a smile on his face. I will definitely be recommending minda, definitely an asset to la fitness.

Minda was really great! He was super welcoming! Coming from planet fitness and so happy to find a new workout place! The gym was nice and clean!

I had the chance to visit la fitness Cambridge today and had the best experience the employee were very polite and greeted me at the door the facility is beautiful and the equipment is everything I need to get my workouts done plus they have a basketball court and a pool which makes me 10x happier when I’m done my workout 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a new gym

This club offers many amenities such as a pool, hot tub, dry sauna, basketball court and much more. But it is not often that all these amenities are in working order at the same time. For the month of December alone the pool was closed for 2 weeks, the sauna was closed for longer than that. There was a flood on the basketball court which was fixed but then the court was closed once again to do a wax on the hardwood. It’s evident that this club went cheap on the wax due to the volume of people complaining about how slippery and dusty the court is… The showers are often dirty and nasty to say the least. The sole highlight of this gym is the friendly staff who always greet you with a warm welcome and a friendly goodbye when leaving the gym. Nevertheless it’s pointless to advertise all the amenities this gym has to offer if they are rarley in working order at the same time. I personally don’t think it is worth paying $50 a month when I get half of the gyms utilities.

Ehsan is the best trainer in Cambridge, He holds me accountable through my workouts, and the progress I’ve seen so far is unbelievable. Special thanks to Minda who helped me get started! Ogi, Aubrey, Alyssa & Khalil are absolutely amazing! Also special thanks to Sharon for always being so warm and friendly to me and my family.

I joined LA about 2 years ago now and I’ve been to a couple gyms in the area prior to that. I can say without a doubt that this is my forever gym! The employees are so welcoming and encouraging, they make me want to get up and go everyday! Everything is always kept super clean and tidy, I never have to wait on equipment.

I also recommended Alyssa to a friend and he has a nothing but amazing things to say, like he never could have imagined being where he is without her help and motivation.
And last but not least I want to mention Khaleel, he was super welcoming, encouraging, and gave me some tips along way that have helped tremendously!

LA Fitness Cambridge has some amazing Personal Trainers specially my trainer @Alyssa Filipovic is just awesome, she motivates me in the best way possible, is always very supportive and positive. "Last set best set" is her slogan ;)

I recently decided to switch gyms and try out Cambridge LA fitness. I was immediately impressed by the warm welcome and facility tour by Khaleel, the membership options available and the gym itself. I bought a membership and have absolutely loved working out there for the last few months. The gym is massive with plenty of equipment and machines, free weights and workout space. There’s also a basketball court and pool. And the entire team at Cambridge LA is always so nice and friendly! They really make the whole experience and the gym even better.

Worst customer service. Cancelled in March. They keep taking payments. Billing is always an issue (cards not working on their end etc.). Do not recommend ANY La fitness.

Great gym, horrible staff. I went in as a guest of one of my friends on June 31st, and was asked if I wanted a membership by one of the staff (Omar, I believe his name was). Upon hearing that I had been debating it for some time, he sat me down and showed me the prices of the club on a sheet of paper, which I took a picture of. Then, Omar made the claim that the prices were going up massively “tomorrow”, and pressured me to sign up today to get the “better and lower prices”. When I tried to take a photo of the new prices, Omar said I wasn’t able to do that (?). Sensing this was a horribly designed sales trap, I immediately stopped being interested in his pitch and went for my workout. A few days later, I went online to LA fitnesses site to check and see if prices had indeed gone up as per Omar’s claim (they had not). Essentially, they pressure people to sign up under duress of an impending massive price increase which never happens, thereby forcing people into a spontaneous purchase. The fact Omar did not allow me to take a photo of the new prices gave away his position right away; I would sign up with this gym, but that Omar guy deserves to be fired for trying to scam people.

Drew, my personal trainer always pushes me to my full potential with a smile on his face! Every time I come in the staff is always so welcoming and goes above and beyond with their clients. Staff are great and are always nice whenever I come in to workout. I left my basketball shoes and basketball in the mens changeroom one day and then saved them for me to pick them up next time I come. All around great gym with amazing staff that are always there to help.

Minda was so helpful with the sign up process! He was polite and i can already see the change in the gym from when I came before… ITS WAY BETTER! Keep doing your thing

Worst gym ever. Cannot even cancel your membership online or over the phone. They make you have to print off and mail in something from their website to cancel membership.

This is the best gym ever. Very clean, best machines that you do not need to wait for any of them. Also, my trainer Ehsan Ashrafizade is one of the expert that trains you in exact exercise based on your need. I recommend this gym for anybody who really is looking for. I am living in London, but of course it is worth to drive to Cambridge for this LA Fitness and practice. Just try one time then you will love it. Don't forget to be in touch with Ehsan Ashrafizade.

One of the better LA fitness locations around. Much more modern Compared to the kitchener location.

I'm quite new to Cambridge and have been looking for a Gyming center, friends recommended here to me and I'm looking forward to be part of the big family soon. And I'm very happy as the respect the Covid-19 guidelines.

Deceitful people, and I do not advise anyone to register in this center, they take people's money under the pretext of covid-19. The method of reservation first opens one minute and there is no reservation.

LA Fitness Cambridge is a great club with lots of different amenities. The staff is very friendly, helpful and they genuinely care about their client's goals. I had the pleasure of taking personal training sessions from both Alyssa and Chris and I could not be happier with my experience with the both of them. They both got to know my fitness goals and made sure they did everything they could to help me reach them. If you're looking to sign up for a gym, LA Cambridge is a great place to go and if you're looking for some personal training they have a great team of personal trainers.

I signed up at LA last November and immediately got training with Alyssa. I've always struggled with being consistent and and maintaining a gym schedule but Alyssa and the rest of the LA family have helped me along the way. Not only have seen amazing results I also gained confidence to go by myself. I will continue to recommend LA to all my friends and family.

I was never a fan of the gym but the last few months my perspective has changed thanks to LA Fitness and Alyssa especially. I was pretty hesitant at first as I was a bit overwhelmed with the exercises and machines, but Alyssa helped me move beyond those worries. With each PT session, she continually made me feel comfortable and motivated. She has a charismatic persona and takes time to explain fitness terms and the like to her clients. She has made going to the gym far easier and now it is a part of my regular routine. I highly recommend this location and Alyssa - she is the best!

When I was looking for a gym to join, I visited few fitness centres in Cambridge. I was pleasantly surprised by LA Fitness representative named Harminder Singh, who was extremely professional, convincing and friendly at the same time. I decide join LA Fitness and never regretted my decision. Harminder and other staff members are always there to help and do their best to make my every visit to the gym a highlight of the day.

I have been going to LA Fitness for almost a year now, and I love it! I am so glad I chose this gym to help me with my fitness goals. Alyssa, the assistant personal trainer director is beyond amazing! She will help me with anything I need, and I know I can count on her for anything. My personal trainer Chris is also incredible. Chris has helped me so much since I started with him back in March. If you are looking for a great, supportive, and fun personal trainer, Chris is your guy! All the staff are awesome though, from the minute you walk in to the time you leave. They all want to know each of their members, and are always welcoming when your first walk into the gym, and throughout your time at the gym. The gym is a very comfortable environment, I know for me personally, one of the reasons, I didn't go to the gym, was my comfort level, but I can say 100%, I am super comfortable working out at, whether I am with my pt Chris or working out myself. There is zero judgement, and all the staff are more than happy to assist with anything you need! I could not be happier with the relationships I have built and my experience so far at LA Fitness!

Alyssa signed me up for personal training a year ago and she’s been by my side as my coach ever since. Her workouts are like no other, even the one in my initial assessment killed me but it was the intensity I was lacking in my own and the intensity that’s gotten me the results I have now.
My initial contract ended after 6 months but I’ve still be getting personal training since then. If you’re looking for a trainer and some more help with diet especially go see Alyssa at LA! I’d recommend that gym to anyone

I’ve been coming to this location on and off since they’ve opened and just now felt compelled to leave a review.

Whether there is Covid or not, this it the cleanest LA location I’ve been to. You will never even find a paper towel on the ground. Part of the reason is due to Ismail who does maintenance there. Not only does he keep the club super clean, but this is also the happiest, most polite, most positive person I’ve met. Always greets me with a huge smile, has words of encouragement, and no matter what’s going in the day, Ismail’s positivity is simply contagious. Hard to truly describe it, he’s just one of those characters you have to meet in real life to truly appreciate and understand what I’m speaking of.

Rest of the staff is pretty amazing also. Sherian and Brandi that work the front desk, always greet me by name (makes me feel like a real member, not just a number amongst thousands), Stacy who I believe is the operations manager has helped me several times with administrative issues and made me feel like I as a customer always come first. Minda is a great guy always willing to help.

Never had issues with any of the staff and have to give them all credit, I just don’t know everyone’s name. But the staff at this location, is cheerful, customer service oriented, and always looking after our concerns. I’ve been at other gyms where it’s the total opposite, so this is an amazing change (hence why I’m taking the time to actually write a review). I’ve been so impressed with the crew there lately, and thought to myself that people usually only take the time to air out their complaints, why not actually take the time to talk about positive experiences, and give recognition where it’s due.

Now if I actually had to complain about something, it would be about the Matrix line of equipment. But this is more of a corporate thing and nothing to do with the club (maybe some corporate buyers will read this). As far as cardio equipment no issues with the Matrix brand, but I’m not a big fan of the weight lifting line. I much preferred it when LA used to use the Hammer Strength brand. Ultimately, the Matrix line does it’s job, and I’m sure 99% of the people wouldn’t even know the difference or complain, so I guess it’s just a personal preference. Still had many great workouts there.

I’ve been to many LA Fitness locations in Ontario (probably most of them) and in my opinion, this is by far the best one. Keep up the great work!

I signed up for personal training with Alyssa F last year and I have loved it. Coming from a background of competitive gymnastics I had never really done weight training before and was nervous about re-hurting past injuries. Alyssa was really adaptive to my needs and in my first few sessions we worked on form and she taught me a lot about the proper techniques of weight lifting. I had told her I wanted to get more lean and she has helped me to do exactly that. She's knowledgeable when I have questions and I also feel like every session with her is challenging and efficient. She even gives me tips I can work on away from the gym (such as with nutrition). This has helped me tremendously and I feel myself getting stronger each day. I am loving the progress and can't wait to continue and see my full potential. I recommend Alyssa if you want someone who cares and pushes you to reach your goals.:) Thanks Alyssa!

When I signed up at La fitness, I had my initial fitness assessment with Alyssa. I was hesitant going into my appointment since it was my first time booking something like this, but Alyssa truly made the experience. She was incredibly informative throughout the entire session, and always made sure I knew why I was doing what I was doing. Even when she talked to me she seemed like she genuinely cared about me and my needs and her workout and tips reflected that. I’ve had PT with LA for the last 6 months and I’ve been so pleased with the results and am thankful that I have a coach like Alyssa to help me through not only the workouts but holding me accountable in my diet as well! She has really helped me with my fitness journey in many aspects and it's been awesome working with her.

I have to reduce my rating due to lack of covid safety precautions in place. No effort to social distance or barriers between equipment and no masks are worn past the front desk.

Just called to get information about the membership and the lady on the phone was short and didn’t want to even bother answering my questions. She said she was not going to provide information on the phone and if I wanted to know anything to come in. Then I replied that I just wanted pricing and she replied “I told you I’m not providing information” she hung up on me. Nope ill stay at current gym.much nicer employees!

This club is amazing, all around, but the reason for this review is the custodian. The east asian gentleman responsible for cleaning the club is an absolute treasure and goes above and beyond his duties, daily. He is the most warm, kind, and genuine person, who will approach most members during a workout and offer motivation, props, and kind words. He has NEVER had an off day and is always so happy to be here. He is such an important part of what makes this club great and if there is some award for excellence within the company, I nominate him and vote for him 100 times.

Horrible experience at this location. They make it extremely difficult to cancel a membership.no other gym requires you to come in or mail in a form. Stacey was especially rude and unpleasant to communicate with about the termination of my membership, while on the phone she did not have me on hold and continued to talk poorly about me to her co-workers “she’s an outright right liar. She is lying” Due to her own miscommunication. She was later able to terminate my membership via email, clearly this policy is in place only to make it Inconvenient for members cancel. There was no issue putting my membership on a freeze via phone call but they make it impossible to cancel a membership over the phone, sounds like a money scam to me. Defiantly will not be referring anyone to a club who has a manager who speaks to customers this way.

Very dirty hot tub, dirty pool, dirty basketball floors. Slippery basketball floors. Basketball nets missing safety padding on backboard.
