Lakeport Fish & Chips

The fish and chps from here are delicious. We have had haddock fish and chips from here twice now. Both times the meals were delicious.

Got 2 one piece fish and chip but the fish was raw. They didn't try to alleviate the problem when i called, just said theyd do better. I usally order twice a week from them but I won't order from them again!

Grabbed a couple of pieces of fish in mid afternoon to tie us over until dinner it was excellent didn't catch the gentleman's name who waited on me but the service was good

Yes this is a grumpy review. Always love Lakeport.phoned at 2: 28pm today (good friday) so as to not call when too busy. I asked if I could order for 6: 00pm pickup, lady told me to call in 2 1/2 hours "closer" to 6. So I do exactly as asked and they are not answering their phone. Really? Call one last time and they shewed me off.okay so much for that, shopping for new F&C shop.

Ordered delivery. Got the halibut, usually really good. Ordered extra fish, paid for it. Ordered 2 meals, received 2 pieces of fish per meal. Asked for extra lemon wedges, called back to make sure they heard it, reasured they did, nope just 2. One piece was great, the other really fishy smelling and super musshy. Called, was told i was wrong, thought my chef papers and 30 years of cooking professionaly i might know. My girftiend had a bite to see, shes out getting gravol now, i threw up mine earlier. Coleslaw was good. Worst 70 dollars i ever spent.

Always love stopping here for fish and chips when I'm in the area! Excellent food and great staff!

It's always a good when I come back home to Canada to be able to get some good old fashioned fish and chips. Something we just don't get in Georgia.
So this chip shop your basic chip shop and a strip center nothing fancy it's a very busy because I was there at lunch and there's a high school nearby a lot of them were there for lunch that day. But service was quick fast friendly a good portion for their price that I paid. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit next time I've been home and counted I'll definitely stop by again

A family of 4 we order the Cod fish and chip and the fish was old watered tasteless small like really small and thin child portion fries were over done burned old oil just awful don’t go there your experience will be heartbroken

Their fish and chips are delicious, the service is great, place is clean and price is reasonable.

Use to love ordering from here but not anymore. Constantly missing items. Finally learned my lesson this time.no more benefit of the doubt or taking a loss on items paid for. Waited 45mins this time (for something that was suppose to come in 30) for missing items to be delivered to have them say we didn't know what to do, and hadn't bothered to call delivery service in the first place. Refused refund due to managers not being. Did offer free delivery or 20% off next ordered, even though I will not be ordering from here again. Save your money and try some where else.

Hubs and I came for the Tuesday deal, and Wow! Was not disappointed, the fish and chips were delicious, good sized portions. Karen was awesome, her energy is infectious! We learned the history of the location and pieces of art!

Well fish was good as it was a take out order. But no fork the eat the French fries. So not happy

Ordering via phone was a seamless experience. The person who took the order was good and the pickup experience was great as well.

Arrived within the estimated 15 minutes as I got a text that the order was ready. The food was good and was a large portion for the price compared to other fish and chip places.

Ordered online and paid. They made me wait 20 minutes after it was to be ready. Someone off the street got theirs before me. Ordered same thing. Not going back

Let me start by saying I have ALWAYS hated fish and chips. Couldn’t stand it…. And I would be miserable when my husband wanted to order it (one of his favourite meals). I would be the goofball who would order the burger, or ANYTHING else off the menu in a fish a chip shop because I just couldn’t handle eating soggy, greasy, gross breaded fish. Then we moved to the falls (around the corner from Lakeport Fish &Chips) a couple years ago. EVERYTHING CHANGED! During our unpacking my husband picked up two Halibut dinners from Lakeport so I wouldn’t have to cook. We fought over his choice of dinner…but then… OMG! MIND BLOWN! I had NEVER had anything so good in my life! I’m not exaggerating! The fish was exceptional, fresh, super crispy, and soooooo delicious! It’s now a staple meal in our home 2-3 times a month. I still HATE fish & chips from literally ANYWHERE else, but I CRAVE the Halibut dinner from Lakeport. Seriously outstanding quality and unbelievably delicious. It’s become one of my favourite take out meals and it’s often MY choice for dinner! It’s really saying something when a restaurant can take your most dreaded, disliked meal…and turn it into one of your most LOVED! You seriously have to try the halibut! I know it’s a little pricier, but worth EVERY PENNY! You definitely can’t go wrong getting your fish and chips from Lakeport! Highly, highly recommended! Oh, and their mashed potatoes and gravy are outstanding as well!

After ordering our food, their website said it would be ready by 8: 20pm. Great. Except it wasn't, and they hadn't even begun making it yet.

While we were waiting, a massive line of customers and delivery drivers piled up. The lone employee offered only complaints regarding the owners' sudden vacation leaving them untrained—and unprepared—to manage the restaurant alone.

An hour past their initial estimate, we finally received our food. Or so we thought, only to drive home and find half of the order missing. The food we did receive was either ice-cold like the mashed potatoes, or burnt in the case of the "complimentary onion rings".

They wouldn't offer us a refund for this sham, instead having us wait longer still to cook the rest. And they forgot the mushy peas AGAIN!

Terrible restaurant, mediocre food. You couldn't pay us to order again.

This was our 1st time eating Lakeport Fish & Chips in the Falls.words cannot express how good it was.the portions were large, the batter was light & flaky, lots of chips, coleslaw was delicious.incredibly good good flavour. We ordered online without issue & they had our order ready within 5 minutes of our requested time, but in fairness, they were crazy busy at 5 p.m. On a Friday afternoon. Oh, and treat yourself to a pineapple crullers for dessert.it's a pineapple ring dipped in batter & deep fried sprinkled with powder sugar.sooo good. Cannot recommend them enough. Thank you Lakeport for a fantastic dinner, our new go to place for fish & chips.

I put a online order in at 5pm for a 6pm pick up.
I showed up at 5: 52 and stood there till 6: 51 while watching people who had orders for 6: 30 pick up and walk out. In the end there was no apology for the losing my ticket.
If you have a problem with the online service then shut it down.
Def will not be back and will spread the word.

This was really great! Not much of a fish fan, my family is and lived it, but I got shrimp and it was great! Totally recommend!

DONT BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. GREAT SERVICE FRIENDLY STAFF. WENT THERE THIS EVENING. CALLED AHEAD ORDERED 3PC POLLOCK AND CHIPS ALSO 2 PC HALIBUT AND ONION RINGS. EVERYTHING WAS COOKED PERFECT VERY FRESH. WAS READY A COUPLE MINS AFTER SHOWING UP. AS I WAS A FEW MINS EARLY. DEFINITELY WILL GO AGAIN AMD RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE

Fish was just good fries are super heavy they also deep fry their seafood in the same grease as the fish and fries, explains why I alway have the worst gut rot and am on the toilet all night. I have a food allergy to scallops. They should let people know they never change their oil. If you want fish and chips I recommend Bettys in Chippawa. Never will go back.

I ordered online thinking I would save time. Order was to be picked up at 5: 55pm. I arrived at 6pm and waited until 6: 25pm. While 7 other customers recieved there orders with 3 of them walk ins. It wasn't a big order just 2 two pieces. Also there was a option for extra crispy fries, I though great but nope very soggy from the fish resting on top. All I could taste was the batter no fish; only oily breading. I used to love it here as a kid. Now the quality of both the food and customer service is very poor. I wish I could say this is the first time but it is not.

Ordered 2pc haddock & fries. Was very satisfying. A good portion of friese n gravyHaddock was white & crispy the way I like it. Also order was on time & friendly service. Only issue I forgot to ask for a fork. All good.

Kids wanted fish n chips! Loved the haddock! Good priced and fast service! Was done before i even got there! Happy kids!

I absolutely love the batter on the fish here, and this is the only place I will eat leftover fries from.
They have an excellent portion for a great price, and all of the staff members are friendly.

Ordered 2 pce halibut and they sent some other very much cheaper fish and was told that I dont know what I'm talking about!

Very friendly service, more than enough for one person with the 2 piece fish and chips. Fast service and very clean. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a great quick meal.

One piece with fries under $5. Add the fact its good and its an easy 5 star. Tuesdays the line is out the door and always worth the wait.

The poutine is good, but the last 2 times we ordered it the fries tasted old, the gravy was cold and the cheese wasn't melted.

First time going. The price was to high. The fish were small. The staff wasn't wearing masks. They were on there cell phones.

Lunch with grandsons was great! Food was hot and fish was tasty! Price is reasonable too. They have daily specials on Mon Tue and Wed.

Very fresh fish and absolute reasonable price. The bread was not too thick, it was just excellent. Want to try their every menu here!

The last 2 visits here was quite disappointing. Once the fish was so small and thin (not cheepie night) it was so crispy wasn't edible. Tonight dinner was cold, soggy, and my fish was not cooked. Fries were cold. I give them 2 stars because they are so nice.

Had take out dad order fish &chip's i had with fries it was good except my mama's battered Mushroom's they were cold and very watery thank goodness for a piece of haddock otherwise food!

Had a very good experience in this place with my friend. The food comes fast and the customer service is just excellent. Prices are convenient.

Awesome service excellent food I had delivery and they forgot the coleslaw, They came back right away and gave me an order of onion rings free.

Since I moved to Niagara falls our go to place for fish
My wife and I have never been disappointed
