A Waterloo classic - the breakfast is satisfying and the service is a-mel-zing! The milkshake is also not too sweet and a nice touch to any visit

Excellent food! We had crispy edged cinnamon pancakes with cinnamon frosting and crispy "chicken-waffle eggs-benedict"- delicious! Many types of fresh milk milkshakes- we had coffee flavour. And the service was awesome: efficient, quick and friendly (Kyle) and he checked on our coffee refills and that we had everything we needed. The best diner breakfast experience we've had. Thank you:)

Dirty and unclean place, the hostess been really rude to us. I would not suggest go this location for brunch experience. The food was dry and unpleasant.

She was very warm and welcoming:) my friend and I ordered the Mac n cheese grilled cheese with a side of sweet potato fries, buttermilk pancakes and bacon which were all phenomenal! Will definitely be back to tackle the godfather challenge with some friends!

Fun atmosphere, but think i should have gotten breakfast. Fries are really good but the "ultimate grilled cheese" was far from ultimate. The chicken and waffles were a big hit though.

Nice atmosphere, burger is trash. Literally no flavour lmao. What a ripoff.

French toast is pleasant

I went to Mel’s a few months ago in July for some brunch with friends. If i remember correctly our server’s name was Grant and he was an absolute gem! I’d come back just for his service and the hashbrowns. Great service + great food what more could you ask for?

Breakfast foods were great. The burger was un-seasoned. Completely tasteless. Friendly staff.

The food was reasonable but the raspberry shake was delicious, the staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was that of a Mel's Diner.

Ordered the breakfast burrito and although it was delicious, I could only eat half. No complaints! Generous portion sizes. Tasty food and great service. Wait staff stop by frequently & offer helpful suggestions for ordering.

I grew up going to diners so they have a special place in my heart. Great vibe, good sandwich, friendly service. That’s what a diner is and that’s what I got!

Waitstaff Joyce is excellent.
Food.meh! Toast was not toasted. And the bacon was tasteless and dry. Baked beans rocked!

One of the best spots for a dine-in at the UWaterloo plaza. The place is set in a vintage style with great ambience.

In terms of food, there are plenty of options for an all day breakfast/brunch/lunch to choose. The service is reasonably fast, however you may expect a 10-15 min wait time to find a table (peak times) as it can get busy.
