I belong to a different movati so I thought I would do a workout at the brantford movati. Staff very welcoming. The building is older. It's like a maze so I got lost a couple times. There is one pool co ed. The showers could use an uplift like have shampoo conditioner and moisturizer like other movaties. Also replacing the shower curtains with glass doors would give the bathroom an uplift.because I'm used to the newer gym I understand this building is older. All aside thank you to the friendly staff for making me feel welcome

Opens at 5am closes before midnight, that might be Good for office workers but this place needs to be 24hrs like it was years ago. I will be canceling my membership and going to a 24hr Gym.

Clean, friendly staff and lots of equipment but to be honest it is a little pricey. My only reason for 3 stars is that I personally am not comfortable here and it is not due to anything that the staff has done it's just a vibe. I also want to make it clear that I do know people that love being a member here so to each their own.

Horrible experience. Buyer beware of the fine print. When I wanted to cancel my membership. They didn't reply for 6 days after and informed me I must give 30 days written notice or go to the gym in person to cancel. They will automatically renew your policy. Very unprofessional. Go to Profit instead! Excellent service and top notch trainers.

I love it there. There is a steam room that's always clean and inviting and HOT. The swimming pool and hottub are also very clean and fun to swim in. I love and enjoy the hot yoga classes personally, but I find them challenging, hopefully I'll get better over time. Equipment is also versatile and safe.

The staff at the club is excellent. I like the vast space and the opportunity to visit the pool and the gym group classes. However, the gym itself is very outdated. I would say that this is a graveyard of old equipment. Many of them are no longer subject to repair but are still being used. This location is a big shame for the Movati clubs. I will switch to another club as soon as my year pass finishes.

I was somehow locked into a twelvemonth commitment. When I said that it wasn't told to me during the signing process in process I was told that I was informed. I am now unable to end my membership for the next 6 months.

I tried the gyms in town. This gym is the best. Best instructors and just a really nice atmosphere. Classes are great.

Scumbag company. Movati closed their London Ontario locations with 1.5 days "notice". That being said I have still yet to receive any kind of notice advising of my club closing and I was a member for 20+ years. I hope this business fails as they don't deserve success.

The facility is fine. However, they will not let me cancel despite the fact that I am moving 3 hours away from any Movati athletic. I will not be using their services again, and do not recommend them.

This is my last day at Movati.enough said. The one I attended was older (new Movati gyms are more modern) older equipment and over the years many of the younger clientele left due to pricing and competitive newers gyms opening in area. I may be getting older, but when my gym starts making me feel old, gotta change.

Went as a guest of a spin instructor. Was hoping to try the facility and possibly join as a member as I am new to town. I was charged $23 for a day pass, I wasn’t offered a tour, a towel or anything else. $23 for a single spin class. The front desk staff were not helpful. However the class was amazing. Will not be joining as a member if that’s how they treat a guest on their first visit.

Great gym, great staff. Has everything I need (machines, weights). Nice air, not gross like other gyms. I am very comfortable here. Worth the price.

Cancelled my membership because of covid, i received an email saying i could get my old rate if i signed back up a few months ago. I only use the squash courts and nothing else. I signed back up thinking i would have squash available to me. I now pay more than i did before covid somehow without what i actually use the gym for which is squash, they have told me i am not able to play without paying an extra fee which isnt cheap. Good job guys!

Staff are good. However, the equipment is terrible. The benches barley fold, weights are old and in bad shape. Machines don't work properly and are very old. For being the most expensive gym in town I expected a lot more. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Drove all the way to this location just to get notified that i cannot workout here. Company should update the website if they don't want members from other movati location to allow to workout; who are paying a premium to workout at all locations.

My friend hates doing these so she asked me to do it for her. She loves the facility, says it's super clean, the staff is inviting and professional, and when she has a problem, they do anything they can to solve it for her.

By far the best gym I've ever been apart of! Staff is very friendly and since covid they are really on top of their game here making sure they are doing whatever they can to make us members feel safe and comfortable!

The staff at Movavi are always warm and welcoming and jump on anything to help me out. Plus the shakes rule.

They would'nt give me a cup of water after working out. Usually pretty nice here. Some of the staff are snarky. I pay pay 80 a month.considering moving to one of the other 6 gyms in the immediate area.

My 2nd home! Great club. From the staff at the front desk, to the fitness instructors in class, they always make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Such an amazing place to work out and they have the best MEA staff i have ever seen keep up the great work!

No doubt it’s the best place in Brantford to be healthy and committed to your fitness goals.specially during COVID-19 it’s very clean, huge variation of all kind of machines and equipments, great and qualified team of personal trainers and the most friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend it

MOVATI Brantford is a great place to work out. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the club is very clean, especially if one is concerned about Covid spread. There is plenty of room in the gym and pool area and I feel more safe here than many other public places. The counter staff, trainers and cleaning staff all appear to take pride in their work. I would highly recommend MOVATI Club Brantford.

I have been a member of Movati since the YMCA closed the Queen St.facility and left everyone hanging. I am one of the lucky ones that has a locked lifetime rate and I understand some of the negativity surrounding membership prices, but as the old adage says you get what you pay for. I admit I tried one of the lower price gym's and put my Movati membership on hold while I did this. I came to realize very quickly the value of Movati as the other gym was atrocious in the cleanliness department. I did this prior to COVID and I can't imagine what it would be like now at those places, from what I have heard the showers are off limits. Movati is extremely clean and the staff are fantastic. Prior to the gyms reopening, I missed all of them as they truly were part of my morning routine. The other patrons there are for the most part the same caliber and friendships are easily formed as a result. Other places do not have this atmosphere and this is a plus indeed!

The absolute best place to work! Movati cares about their employees, and most importantly, they care about their members! Clean and professional facility with the sweetest members!

Best gym in Brantford, hands down. Always clean, always friendly, always a great selection of classes for everyone! Their customer service far surpasses any other gym I've been to. If you haven't tried Movati, you're missing out!

I love movati! Every time I come in they are very welcoming, and say Hi to every person! My favourite trainer is Meghan McDonnell! She pushes me to my limit! I’m always excited to come in and do my training! She is funny and always makes my day!

They have a great range of classes for everyone's different interests. The place to be to train well and get in shape! Nice location. Will definitely be back here again soon!

I have been a member for the past 4 years and I would never change gyms. Movati is not only a great gym with great staff, its an experience everytime you walk in the doors. Movati makes people feel like they are apart of a club rather than a gym. Whether you want to have towel service, play squash, go for a swim, join a class or just workout, Movati has it all.

Have been going regularly.minus COVID.since September 2019. This is a wonderful place to get fit and improve your health. At 67 I have found that, by working with a personal trainer, I am capable of many things I thought were beyond me.
Tha facility is spotless and is constantly clean. Front desk staff are helpful and upbeat. And, can't say enough positive about the personal trainers.knowledgeable.fun, encouraging and skilled! I am very pleased to be a member.a great fitness club!

I've been a member at this gym on and off since it was the athletic club (left because I moved out of town). I moved again and the nearest location is 2 hours away. I tried cancelling back in December and I just wanted them to not renew my membership after the contract was up. I thought all was fine. I've still been getting billed so I called to cancel and I can't do it over the phone- fine I get my mom to go in and cancel for me since I'm now 8 hours away from Brantford and then they tell her to get me to email the manager. I do that and they inform me I need to hand write a letter and mail it in in order to cancel! That it ridiculous. My contract is up. There is no reason why they shouldn't be able to terminate my membership. Very disappointed with the customer service and will never be spending my money at that facility again.

We enjoyed the pool. And the steam room and hot tub And considered membership. BUT No senior
membership prices. No pool only membership. We also like to pay by the year. But that price was avoided.
Staff was uninformed about prices. $45.oo sign up fee. Unheard of. 800.oo a year for 1 person. We pay that for family membership at BestWestern. I think we will go back to best western. They are Much more accomidating. BUT UR STAFF IS VERY GOOD LOOKING.

Constantly cancelling family swim after calling in to confirm it was on and running. After this happen numerous times over the span of 3 months I contacted Movati I told them I wanted to cancel my membership immediately due to horrible customer service and disappointing my three and two year old week after week. Obviously Movati doesn’t like to get dumped, they wanted me to pay for another 30 days. I refused to pay and they said they wouldn’t continually charge me until I pay. Unethical business practices.

Nice large facility. Love that they have a good bar for protein shakes and pool and proper steam rooms, but the hours are absolutely terrible that they're not open past 8pm on weekends, and the machines are needing replacing. Plus membership doesn't include towel service when I was going there. Overpriced.

Low rating is purely because of the price. For someone who only uses a dozen exercise machines, 3 days a week: $65 per month is way too much. Sorry to leave but there are much cheaper options.

Love this place! Staff are always friendly and the classes are phenomenal. I especially love Carla D, Trudy D, and Laura W as intructors.

I joined before this gym opened, and have no complaints. Staff is always friendly and helpful, it is always being updated and expanded. I have dropped in to many gyms across the area and world, and this place has spoiled me. It is kept very clean, the change room is very big. Could use a couple extra toilets, but some gyms you are lucky to have more than one. The toilets are never out of commission, and because they have a dress code and charge more than other gyms, the members are great too.

Extremely greedy an inconvenient policies for cancelling memberships. They use peoples busy lives to their own advantage to claw a few more payments out of you till you have time to actually go in and give your signature to cancel the policy.

They act like everything is really easy then send you emails telling you really what to do. I asked to put my account on hold while in school and then find out that when the new year starts I have to go back in to put it on hold AGAIN. Not realizing this I let them take money from my account without notice. When I finally noticed I called right away to ask them to put it back on hold since I am 2 hours away. When talking to the girl on the phone, to clarify I asked if everything was taken care of and she said yes, then they send me an email saying I have to send them signatures and all this stuff to ACTUALLY put my account back on hold. If I knew I would have to do all this extra work I would have just cancelled it back in August which I was already doing but the girl told me I could easily just put it on hold instead. I went in person to talk about it and they pretty much just shrugged me off because I got the email saying I need to send a signature so it’s not their issue. I have now officially cancelled my membership there because I can’t afford for this issue to happen again. The people there don’t care about you they just care about the money. The only thing I liked was the yoga classes and the woman’s side. They are always raising the prices when it’s already expensive to begin with.

I've been going to Movati for a few years and I've always had a positive experience. The facility is clean and well maintained, the equipment is in good shape, and there's a huge selection of amenities. If something isn't working it gets fixed within a reasonable amount of time. The staff are always super friendly and polite. It's not the cheapest option, but if you use the gym regularly, it's really quite reasonable.

Best gym in Brantford, hands down! I don't care how many gyms they open in Brantford, nothing compares. Tons of amenities, friendly staff, women's only facility and fruit appreciation day. COMMON, it doesn't get any better.

**UPDATE** - I had a personal training demo with Jesse Spychaj yesterday. OMG, he was incredibly knowledgeable and in only an hour taught me so much. If your looking for a trainer to help you reach your goals, Jesse is your guy.
