Grooming services have been very professional and polite. They always take good care of my dog every time I take her in.
No complaints from my end.

There are no words. I was called to pick up my dog 1/2 hr after dropping off due to them not being able to handle him. His belly was half shaved, his nose was bleeding, it took him hours to get over this traumatic experience. Would NEVER recommend

I utilize this petsmart store at least 2-3 times a month and we spent probably 1K there for our breeding business. I was a bit disappointed the last two times I did online orders. I do online orders because although I'm young (ish) I cannot lift the bags of kibble due to a few slipped discs in my back.because we have so many animals (dogs, cats, mini pig, bunnies) I just find online orders work best for our needs. The last time I was at the store (before this experience) my order was never filled within 3 or even 7 hours, so I went myself and spoke to staff and they picked it while I was there. Which is totally okay, and I know things get missed with technology. I also used to work for petsmart in another region of ontario as a student so maybe I am also a bit more direct but the most recent experience wasn't the best. There is usually a male manager there who is awesome and always brings out my orders. I don't know if this was a new manager (youngish, blonde) but when two of my items were refunded from my online order. I knew they definitely had stock because it was new items. So i walked around the store before asking for my order, and found the two beds the staff couldn't find. I get it, its busy. So I asked if I could add them back on but I was told I'd have to pay for them separate now. I totally undersand why because of after pay, however, she didn't even apologize or attempt to fix the situation. She basically just spoke to the staff, directed her to recharge me and left. I was a bit dissapointed, I get its busy but we spend SO much money here and I would have raelly appreciated a "oh so sorry we missed this, we would have to recharge your card because of the system" would have gone so far. Again, just a suggestion.

The place to be anyone who has a pet or wants a pet. Me personally, I come here every so often to have my lovable Saint Bernard Alex get groomed and this particular one is by far the best, at least for him. The girls, and guys there do a phenomenal job, are very nice and polite as well as being thorough and efficient. They are lovely with him, and we've been coming here ever since he was a puppy for nearly 7 years.

Came in last week to buy a bark collar and advantix II for my dog. The manager was so helpful in showing me all my options that were not on the floor. Unfortunately I did not get her name. Great experience, me and my dog love it here.

My dog after grooming was so ugly, Master spend 5 hours and made this. Also I have found blood on dog’s leg, after coming at home. Now I need search professional and spend money and time again. I don’t recommend this groomers, waste of time and money.

The Manager decided to call me 20 minutes before my grooming appointment today to tell me the groomer called in sick and she couldn't make an arrangement to book me in at all today or this weekend before Christmas. Today is a Friday. In the car and on my way there at 7: 40 in the morning.

People get their dogs groomed for the holidays. She didn't even try to accomodate another appointment. Extremely unimpressed, horrible customer service.

"Sorry we are booked" NO KIDDING SO WAS I. This was my first appointment at this location and I will never come back.

I would like to thank Alexander working on tuesday evening for changing the birds water when i brought it to his attention! He acted right away and with care. I was there a couple hours earlier and had asked an older gent if he could do it, and i came back later to see if it had been done, it hadn’t.alexander is an outstanding employee who definitely made me feel like someone cares

Not many options for birds and the staff didn’t know much about birds either. I am lowering my review after witnessing a staff selling two birds to a couple with barely any knowledge of birds and a teeny cage in their cart.

Additionally the birds were being kept in a dark cage with toys that pose an impaction risk. Staff and management should be doing better by the animals that they sell.

The grooming department is in desperate need of a receptionist. They can’t leave the dogs on the table unattended so are unable to answer phone, book in/out clients without large wait times and huge disruption to them trying to groom the dogs. I’ve always had nice people who do a good job grooming but I always feel bad for them. I’m not going to go anymore unless they get a receptionist.

Do not shop here. They keep live beta in tiny cups. Betas need a much larger tank and adequate filtration. This is cruel and inhumane. Also, it’s wrong to sell any live animals as pets, but especially wrong to keep them in horribly small containers.

Truly appreciate the spectacular service received from Ren S. He is very patient and warm with customers. Never go Petmart salon located on Elgin mills. That store always have available appointments, you know the reason

Very poor care of bettas, almost all of them were in cups filled with waste and half of them were way to young to be being sold.

I think the management at this store needs to take better care in choosing suppliers and pay more attention to the fish maintenance in store.

I picked up two bettas that were particular bad at a discount, as I had tanks running already and medication at home. One with a spinal deformity and swim bladder.

Bettas usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to care, however these are at the front of your store and it’s the first thing customers see.

I’d recommend the aurora location or big als for betta related purchases

Drove 1hr to get cat litter. On my way home realized something smelt horrid. My bag of litter was covered in urine. It had obviously been sitting in/On it for a bit the bag is stained yellow. Took photos absolutely disgusting that it could have gone so long with no one noticing pee all over it and the shelf.

Ashleigh and Sharon do such an awesome job and make me feel comfortable in leaving my little guy to get groomed.

Great location and helpful staff. It's really cool that you can bring your pet in with you, which is very useful when you are trying to find the right size for an accessory (boots, jackets). The staff have always been great when I had questions, concerns or needed some help with finding something.

I strongly suggest you call before arriving for a grooming appointment to ensure it's a go. I drove 1.5 hours in the morning to drop off for grooming only to find that the groomer let then know the prior day that she wouldn't be in and nobody bothered to call her clients.

The employees wouldn't let me buy any fish! (My tank was too small and the fish would die.)
I understand the employees there value animals a lot, but there are people like me who don't really, as much as they do. I just wanted to buy a few goldfish (to put in my tiny tank) for home staging (BASICALLY JUST FOR LOOKS, I didn't really care if they could live or not).
Soo I was told not to buy any fish because my tank was too small, and they'd die. BUT I DIDN'T CARE IF THEY DIE OR NOT I JUST URGENTLY NEEDED SOME FOR TEMPORARY DECORATION!

I highly recommend this PetSmart for their groomers! I've several dogs, and each one is treated with care and love, and they've had amazing cuts and washes here, and the staff really, really care and are knowledgeable and point out things that I hadn't thought of, which really impressed me.

I spoke to a staff member, Brenda, over the telephone who was very dismissive and did not want to help me at all. I told her that Head Office had referred me to their store number to confirm a birthday treat alternative for my dog given his dietary restrictions, but she did not want to assist and referred me back to Head Office. I said I had already called Head Office an hour earlier and that they said I would be eligible for an alternative birthday gift for my dog and to call the store before driving over. This staff member was rude and unfriendly, and wanted to get off the phone asap. I then had to call Head Office again and they gave me an alternative option given that the store was unwilling to comply or even talk to me for more than 30 seconds.

The store in general is quite nice though, and the staff are usually friendly/helpful. Maybe it was a bad day for her.

Absolutely zero knowledge about grooming, stay far away from this place for your pomeranian pups specially.

Had our maltipoo in for a full groom his groomer Sharon was fantastic made him look so beautiful we've been coming here for years his other groomer was on a leave so he saw Sharon and she real impressed us great work to all the staff in the grooming department don't believe the negative reviews people write we come from up north and pass 2 other petsmarts just to come get Hunter groomed keep up the good work grooming staff and we'll see you soon. Thank you Sharon and hope to see Ashleigh soon.

Don't ever go to this location to buy Goldfishes, the 2 girls I spoke with there were unhelpful and one of them was downright rude and did everything in her powers not to sell me even the tiniest goldfish that they have. They also clearly were low on inventory. My friend went to another PetSmart location and very quickly and easily bought me the goldfishes. Unfortunately, this location left a sour taste in my mouth and I will generally avoid going to PetSmart from now on.

DON'T DO IT! I have never given a place a bad review but here I go. DO NOT BRING YOUR BIG DOG HERE FOR GROOMING. I wish I had read the other reviews first before going. They can't handle it. Totally unprofessional place. They called me while I was at work and told me my dog was in distress. I flew over there from work to find my dog was totally fine. They just didn't realize the hair she has and how long it would take to groom her. Instead of even trying, they decided to give up, one third of the way through, and call me to tell me I have to pick her up from there because she's not seeming right. They told me she was lethargic and uncooperative and seemed in distress. I am so mad. My dog is wet, with half her body combed out and the other looking a mess. READ OTHER REVIEWS THEYRE NOT LYING

I ordered online for curbside pickup. It was ready for pickup in a very short period of time. The app worked great for checking in when I arrived at the store. The wait was very short for the sales associate to bring my purchase out.

I had a worst experience today. I went to petsmart to purchase 2 Goldfishes for my 15 Gallons tank. The person who claim she is the manager of newmarket location said you cannot have 3 goldfishes for 15 Gallons tank she was so Rude and rasist and She said Im not selling any goldfishes to you. I didn’t ask for her opinion at all!
It is very interesting, 10 years ago when I got my tank from petsmart they said it is perfect for gold fishes as i only love goldfishes with 3 tails. Now she said 15 Gallons tank it is not good for goldfishes. And i have to have 30 or 40 Gallons.
I don’t recommend this location to anyone. As they dont know how to treat customer. She broke my heart so bad only because of 2 goldfishes.
I already got 2 beautiful goldfishes from another pet store as I promised my 2 years Old daughter.

Unable to cut our puppy, but a Groomer a few km North had no issues and said our puppy was a pleasure to cut.

Shampoo smelled great.

I hope they spend our wasted money to get their staff training on dealing with puppies. Our dogs boarding trainer also teaches Grooming. Message me if you need their contact info.

I did curbside pickup here recently and it was easy and fast. Everything was safe and the staff was super nice. Petsmart also has a game on their app, so I got to play that while I waited for my items to be dropped off in my car.

Always has what I’m looking for! Best price for getting my dog groomed. Easy online booking for grooming. Great for large dogs.

Have always shopped at this PetSmart and have always been satisfied. I have had no issues with their new Covid-19 protocols.

Never bring your pet here for grooming. Horrible experience. I don’t even know where to start. The staff is incompetent and blame the customer for their staffs incompetence. The manager at the salon was condescending and had it been any other day when I had more time I would have told her she needs a complete attitude makeover and a course in proper communication. The staff calls me to tell me my pet is ready and when I get there they tell me I need to wait until they finish with another pet before they can retrieve mine. They make an error and instead of apologizing which is always a good way to start a conversation to avoid conflict with a customer when they were in the wrong the grooming manager decides to put the blame on me entirely. Not acceptable young lady! Then to go and pay, the cashier at the front clearly needs to retire or change careers because she was rude and just wanted to go home. I’m disappointed in their behaviour and the store manager needs to have all their staff go through communication training or possibly some behavioural therapy. I’ll never return to this store. I’m done with them. Please don’t go there for grooming. The only reason I’m posting to help others. If the store chooses to respond to me, I welcome it and I suggest you choose your words wisely. I’d much more rather have a conversation in person to rectify the issue.

Thank you for the speedy curb side pick up. Its been fast every time. Minutes after I order, I am notified its ready for pick up. My daughters hamster from Petsmart is 5 years old, healthy and tame.

How can this staff think this is acceptable?
The first thing they do is being lazy. Based on their laziness they choose to disgrace your pet. Instead of brushing your dog to eliminate the knots, the just shave your dog. ITS WINTER TIME! Doing this to your pet is animal cruelty.
If I had a chance to put zero stars I would.
I have brushed my dog before and I have eliminated these knots and I’m not a profesional ad they declare themselves. Totally a disgrace!

We went to the pet smart grooming service for a puppy cleaning to introduce our 12 week old goldendoodle to grooming. They did not seem to know how to handle a puppy. It was like they felt that an excited puppy is not acceptable and did not know what to do with her. They did a terrible job grooming her and at the end they were so rude. I will not go back.

Convenient and handy. Love the curbside pickup. Its awesome. Only downside it takes a bit for them to answer the phone. Still better than waiting in line to go inside. Hope they keep curbside after the pandemic is done.

Curbside pick up using the petsmart "im here" notification does not work or takes way too long! Had to call the store to get my order. Next time I'll just go in.

OK. I find them pricey. Also had huge lineup with only two cashiers open and one of them having a problem. And why do customers bring their non- housebroken dogs inside. Don't they have any sense. Everybody had to navigate around the puddles.

Two weeks to process an online order for crickets.why can't I just order them and pick them up at the store right then and there?
Why can't I just buy stuff at the front door I understand we have the whole lockdown situation with covid-19 but every other store has made a combinations to sell stuff to people at the door the only place that refuses to is PetSmart.thanks for starving my lizard I'll be going other places and making sure other people are too

Kudos to Heather from PetSmart Grooming Services. She did an amazing job on our Golden Doodle. She was very tentative, professional, and very caring. Our dog is super happy and we're super happy. Thank you Heather for spending the time carefully taking out all those nasty mats. You can tell how happy she is now. Will definitely recommend you to everyone!

Bought a reptile from this store. The staff was very helpful to help me pick out exactly what I was looking for. They also walked me through the isles to ensure I had all the proper equipment for the terrarium as well as the proper food. Everything was easy to find and accessible. Would recommend this store!

The associates were very knowledgeable and spent the necessary time with me to help me select the appropriate dog food for my 12 year old pitbull/boxer. He’s having some weight and digestive issues, however I needed an alternative to the absurdly priced vet prescribed food. They were great at helping me out with this.
The store carries a vast selection of dog food and I was assured that if the product selected doesn’t work out, I can return the unused portion for a refund or try a different product. Huge plus+

This Pet Smart has VERY helpful staff, EXCEPT FOR on of their employees who is a large.gentleman (being respectful, for lack of a BETTER term?) with a bunch of tattoos on one arm, who seemed to go ABOVE AND BEYOND, to be QUITE A BIT NASTY, and DIDN'T want to help me, not some other customers, for, ONLY HE, and GOD knows what reason! Didn't matter to me, as I PREFER to be helped by the ladies at this PetSmart, who are ALWAYS, VERY happy to assist customers! AVOID HIM! I helped a bunch of OTHER customers with a pleasant, informative conversation, regarding African Cichlids, because I have, successfully had, and maintained, a 60 gallon tank for well over 30 years. I advised them of some of the varieties of OTHER fish that cichlids will accept, and guided them to some they weren't sure about, and notified them that some time foil Barb's in one of the tank were Albino's, which they then added to their selection of fish. We waited for the ladies to serve us, who did, VERY HAPPILY, and the ladies ALSO, asked me a few questions about cichlids, which I was MORE THAN HAPPY to answer, as they were NOT aware on how to differentiate the males, from the females. I waited my turn to be served by the ladies, got my fish, and cashed out. The nasty employee seemed to disappear.

I’m a busy person. Ordered on line & picked up in Newmarket store. Checked in at cash register & order was in my truck within minutes.

I find this location has a larger selection of inventory (dog food and treats) than the Aurora location. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Product was missing parts when we brought it back the employee said okay so. We had to ask for another and then find it no apologies no customer service.

If a customer would like to ask a representative a question staying in a cat aisle, it is not a great option for representative to answer-"i am not a cat guy, so do not ask me questions about cat food".
Excuse me, are freaking kidding me?
This is should not be the respond a customer should experience in any store!

Hate today's experience

Went in to buy some items.needed assistance with obtaining the products. Forced to hunt around the store to find an employee to assist me. When it came to check out, again had to hunt around to find someone to cash me out. Other than that the prices I paid were great!

Had a wonderful experience with an associate last visit. We were looking at cat foods. She was very knowledgable about the different manufacturers and the needs of cats in their food. Sometimes the lines to checkout are long and only one till is open, but the treat points in savings are worth it as they add up.

It's a big box store. Lots of selection for products and generic animal. Missing any form of personal touch and you will likely never find and exotic bird, reptile or fish here but good for food, toys and standard supplies.

Marley loves her nails. The young lady who did them, did a fabulous job. I'm always impressed with the knowledgeable staff. Her reflective collar is awesome. She loves her new toys too.

Waited a long time to book a grooming appointment. They didnt seem too enthusiastic when I got there, left him, got a call 10 mins later saying they cant groom him and I need to pick him up because he was scared of being sprayed with water. Not sure what the pressure is like, something happened that scared him. Not even a second chance was given to him they just didnt want to deal with doing their job.

BEWARE do not bring your dog here for grooming! It will save you lots of time and stress! Not only are they rude but don't want to do their job. They dont know how to handle big furry dogs and accuse your dog of being aggressive just to get out of doing it. They even mentioned that he wasnt cooperating and they didn't have time as they were going to get really busy! Basically he takes alot of time has alot of fur and they rather do smaller dogs! They dont even deserve one star!

Staff are very friendly and generous with their time; they help when ever possible. I have a high energy young black Lab and have always felt welcomed, despite his rambunctious behaviour. The classes at Pet Smart are run by a people friendly educator who does her job well and has taught me great lessons that will serve my puppy well for years to come.

Jane from PetSmart Newmarket was SO kind and helpful, she was so knowledgable, and really helped us and informed us on the best food options for our energetic pup. She took her time explaining in great detail the benefits of different foods, and geared us into the RIGHT direction.

IF I COULD RATE IT 0 I WOULD KELLY THE "MANAGER" I DONT KNOW HOW SHES A MANAGER. AND SAM! THE SALES PERSON THEY ARE RUDE AND JUGMENTAL AND DONT KNOW HOW TO TREAT CLINTS. I RECOMEND A NEW MANAGER AND A SALES PERSON BECUSE THESE 2 BLOCKHEADS MAKES BUYING ANYTHING FROM PETSMART A NIGHTMARE.

I love this location! Everyone makes my dog feel so welcome and treats him like he’s the cutest thing they’ve ever seen. The cashier with long brown hair named Dawn is super friendly and always makes us feel welcome. I go to her cash whenever she’s there. If she doesn’t know something she always finds out for me and her suggestions are always perfect! Kudos to the customer service here that most places are lacking. It truly is a lost art.

A lot of products, not inexpensive but they won't break the bank either. The store is always clean and tidy with good room between the isles. Pets are welcome and if you are lucky you get to run into a puppy on occasion. Our dog likes the treats and toy isle and enjoys shopping along those isles the best. Most of their items cater to cats and dogs, a couple of isles dedicated to fish products, and some items for small rodents and birds. There is a small selection of fish for sale and the odd bird or rodent and sometimes a bunny.

When getting reptile feeders such as.well anytime of worm really, be sure to open and check to see if they are still alive before you pay and leave the store. 75 percent of the time when I buy them the majority are dead.not good. I would suggest the lost world reptile store for any reptiles or feeders.

Honestly the only thing anyone should buy from PetSmart are supplies and animals adopted out by Ospca. All other animals like fish, rodents, birds and reptiles do not get the proper care they need here and are being sold to people without proper taming.
