Had both dogs groomed. They enjoyed the experience. We will continue to groom them at home but occasionally partake of their services.

Friendly helpful staff. Limited selection of small pet supplies, toys. Very disappointed that small animal hotelling is not offered. Very hard to find accommodations for small pets, this would be a valued service. Treats rewards program is great, well appreciated. Haven't seen sale prices on essentials in a while.

Nellie, the dog trainer, is amazing. She understands dogs so well and gives a really good analysis of their behaviours. I see improvements with my two dogs instantly and learn so much every time. I highly recommend classes with her!

Small store, went in for bird stuff and they had none of the items I needed to refresh my bird's set up. The store does seem to have a lot of dog and cat stuff.

Took my cat into the grooming salon. Very nice girls who work there and my boy came home looking great.

4/5 stars because the employee was extremely helpful, kind and patient in explaining how to properly care for a beta fish. A star taken away for the state of the beta fish there. I am planning on rescuing one once the 72 hours have finished of the tank being installed.

Just in your store, its 3: 17pm. Middle aged cashier at the front with a chip on her shoulder needs an attitude adjustment; however you probably already know that. Wont be back

The treatment of reptiles in itself should have this store shut down.
But the main reason for this review is for their god awful dog trainer. The alpha principal has been proven irresponsible and reputable trainers do not use this method. Their dog trainer is crass, rude, assuming people who walk in no nothing while all at the same time proceeding to try and pet my dog after I had stated she was head shy.

The reviews with low stars don't lie.
Unreal to be treated like that and turned away with my sweet little furry boy. I've not once ever had an issue bringing him for grooming and here I was greeted with immediately being told he needs to have a muzzle and that I need to have his rabies paperwork. Turned around and went to a great place in Nepean that loves him called Furry Tails which I highly recommend.

Store is ok. I do prefer other locations for customer service and product. I'm more concerned with how they run the business end of the puppy/dog training. Completely unprofessional. Woman who was to train us, would not return a phone call, on the day of (canceled-her not us) training. When she did call initially, she was quite rude (loud sighs, bit snappy etc.). My husband and I showed up on the evening of the canceled training, to get some answers and to shop, and she turned on me. I directed her to my husband, who was the one who had booked and dealt with everything, and the one there who wanted some questions answered. Ended up asking for a refund as, again, she never returned calls, on the day of a second time. Found a great, professional training service that night. Will just avoid this store.

Great selection and lots of dog customers who doesn't love walking around a bunch of puppies looking for treats

Really great service and care of our 11 month old bernadoodle who came in for a full shave. Staff were friendly and considerate of our pup's needs, and did an amazing job with grooming considering he was a furry bear!
The store has a large selection as well, loads of space to walk around with your dog, and returning/exchanging items was easy and pleasant. Highly recommend this location for grooming and supply needs.
Lots of parking available as well, with super quick access coming on and off the Queensway.

My daughter and I had a great experience purchasing her first fish. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with Matthew. It was a busy day and he was running around, wrangling crickets for one customer, carefully presenting a python to a young boy, keeping everything under control and he still had time to tell us everything we needed to know about owning a Betta. He was very knowledgeable and was focused solely on proper care for the fish over making a quick sale. I felt completely justified going well over what I had originally budgeted specifically based on the options he presented us. This location is not particularly convenient for us but we will continue returning for all of our future fishy needs.

There weren't quite enough staff for how busy the store was but the staff that were there were really great. My puppy enjoyed watching the fish while we waited.

I had my large Australian Shepherd groomed with Jessica R.and it was fantastic. She did a thorough job and my dog was happy (as was I). I will definitely be returning and recommending Jessica at Petsmart as a groomer.

Loads of dead fish in the tanks. Bettas are poorly treated. Employees are not fully educated on different types of fish. Employees are also not very helpful and tend to take the easy way out instead of doing things the right way, some of the employees are very rude. The customer service is overall awful. I wouldn't go to this petstore if I didn't have to but seeing how it's the only petstore in my area with fish I am stuck. Don't go out of your way to come here.

Sunday I when to get Jaimy, groomed by Jessica, his regular groomer. As always, Jessica has been wonderful with my little pooch. I would recommend to visit this Petsmart in Centrum and ask for Jessica.

Not very professional or accommodating location. I have been getting my dogs groomed at PetSmart for over 10 years and always had wonderful experiences at other locations. The Kanata location is not a great location.

I prefer to shop at Mom and Pop shops, but unfortunately nobody keeps stock levels like PetSmart and they always have what I need and the staff is knowledgeable. One of the only big box stores I tend to support regularly

I like the selection of pets they have available. Haven't bought my hamster from this location, but the Merivale location has a great selection of hamsters. I find it easy to find everything my hamster needs in the store.

Online look up his good, curb side pick up was quick and efficient. I was unable to get the quality of product that I required although I did get a sufficient amount. I have to assume this is attributed to supply chain issues caused by Covid restrictions.

Amazing, Trinity was so gentle and calm with my boy and made his first grooming experience fantastic. He came back so happy and clean!

Ordered an aquarium online and drove to Ottawa from Pembroke to pick up a 50 gallon tank. I had measured the length and width of my car's trunk beforehand. When I arrived to do curbside pickup, and measured the tank I received the wrong aquarium. The dimensions of the fish tank I ordered was 36 in L × 18 in W and 19 in H. What I received was about 6 inches in width, and every other measurement was incorrect. When talking to the manager to try and resolve the issue he assured me if was the correct order even after I showed my receipt and the products dimensions on the website. When he finally admitted that it was incorrect he told me even the gallon size was wrong. I received a 75 gallon aquarium instead of the 50 I ordered. The manager explained that the website dimensions was wrong and they had no other aquariums in stock. I ended up returning it. During this entire time I did not get an apology for the inconvinence or a solution. Ended up driving to the pet store called Big Al's and got outstanding customer service there, an aquarium of the right dimensions and they even helped load the tank into the car. Overall my one-time experience with PetSmart was awful, and I will not be returning.

Not very familiar with this location and since it's a pandemic the store was closed but they did do curbside pick up, got everything we needed for our mini pinscher

Brianna is AMAZING! Her product knowledge and customer service helpfulness made the difference. I was educated on product and was able to make better purchase decisions. I did purchase more than I expected. However, once I was shown the value of each product in relation to my pets needs, I felt justified in the extra dollars spent. Going forward I will ensure to keep purchasing the newer choices. Thank you Brianna! (Best customer service I have experienced to date.)

The curb-side pickup was great. Just had to call the store to let them know I was there, open the trunk, and they loaded everything for me.

Staff is ok. It shows that not all care about their jobs and do it for their bills. Definitely do have some items that I like ordering from here. Sometimes better pricing than Ren's pet due to comparison. Overall, not a bad pet shop to stop by here and there

Older store, a bit crowded but well stocked. Found what I was looking for with a bit of cruising through the aisles. There was puppy training in progress when we were there which was interesting to watch. The staff were quite friendly.

This store was just an amazing atmosphere even during covid they respect if you can not wear a mask.they don't ask don't judge were extremely happy with are service here!

Amazing service & the employees know what they're talking about. Went in to buy a couple of fish & one of the employees (forget his name) helped me out for awhile explaining to me all the right things I need to do to maintain a healthy aquarium, & about all the fish that are compatible with each other. I never had good experiences with any other petsmart in ottawa, but I highly recommend the fish section at the Kanata centrum petsmart.

They are not polite on the phone at all, she even didn't try to find the item that I had item number!

I used the online, curbside pickup tool for the first time and want to thank the lovely staff at the Kanata Petsmart for their ongoing customer care. The item was in stock and prepared for pickup in less than an hour of placing the order. This is such a difficult time for everyone and supporting local business is so important. It is so good that Petsmart has introduced this online tool, keeping people employed and helping to look after our pets. Thank You!

I went in not sure what I was looking for but having a general idea. Staff were friendly and helpful and I got everything that I needed right in one spot.

Team at the store is very helpful, knowledgeable and nice. They are always willing to help and smiling. Most important they have great advices and know what they are doing. Very nice place to go!

Love going to PetSmart, we had ordered for pick up in store. Product was exactly as advertised and my dog always likes everything about the store. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Last week I took my Shih Tzu in to be groomed. I was totally dissatisfied. Her ear hairs were not done as I had specified, her face wasn't done short as specified, her legs don't look like they were done at all, totally uneven over her eyes with one spot almost bald. I asked about the ears & she blamed the dog. Basically, a very expensive bath & nail trim. It was near closing time and I didn't trust asking for a redo.

The livebearing fish here seem to always be sick. Have made a few visits to find healthy fish but haven't been able to find a tank without sick fish.

Can't say enough good things about the customer service. Very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Best prices around too.

The groomers are wonderful with my dogs. They took the time to initially get to know them so that my dogs are not stressed at all with repeat visits. The overall atmosphere of the salon is very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. PetSmart! Pay your employees better. They deserve better working conditions!

Excellent customer service. We rushed in 10 min before closing to buy a betta fish for our daughter. Our previous fish had died and our daughter distraught after we tried to find another fish at another pet store. The saleswoman was helpful, patient and knowledgeable about the fish. We were able to get another fish plus the proper supplies we’d previously missed. We were invited to return if we had any problems. Highly recommend the staff at kanata pet smart!

This is a very poor Pet Smart store for having supplies in stock. I recently moved to Kanata, previously having done my pet shopping at the Pet Smart location on Hunt Club Road in Nepean. Since moving here I've made at least four individual trips to purchase regular stock and brands for my cat but each time this store has either had no stock at all or very little of the product or products I went to purchase. Today, rather than make a wasted trip to the Pet Smart store in Kanata, I placed a phone call to see if they had the popular Fancy Feast flavor of cat wet food in stock and was informed that they were out of stock. Why am I not surprised? My advice to this particular store is to either obtain more in-store stock on a regular basis or hire someone who can order properly to ensure there's enough in-store stock and the correct stock available for the consumer.

Love how they help out if your cat has diabetes, kidney or bladder crystals, and what harness to buy for a cat. Some items are not cheap but can buy as a treat

I have a 10 gallon with 3 cory cat fish which are 4 inches and classified as a fish for a 10 gallon. I wanted to buy a rubber lip placo which gets 4 inches (so as my cory cat fish) but they didn't let me get it

Good selection of animal food and toys, maybe one or two cats and no dogs or puppies can be found here, rescue cats - yes, didn't see any birds

Clean and fairly well stocked. When I went they may have been in the middle of restocking shelves, but there seemed to be some empty shelves.

Travelled over 45 minutes drive to go pick up a fish tank with stand there (nearest place where it was available). The stand was already built, the tank had sparkles in it, so they probably gave me the demo. That's not the problem. The problem is when I got home, I realised that, although the tank was fine, the stand was incomplete. They removed the shelves inside and didn't give them with the kit, and it was also missing one of the hole-covers for the back. Tried to contact Petsmart about it, was told someone would get in touch with me. Haven't heard from them since.

I bought a Fancy bearded dragon & I love my little guy. Anytime I need advice there always willing to help you out.

Brought our two small dogs to the grooming salon to get their nails trimmed and ground. Our first dog got cut and bled on her paw; the staff blamed us despite there being a fresh cut on her paw by her nail. Our second dog's nails were barely trimmed and very messily ground with the nails pointing in awkward directions.

The dog training classes at PetSmart are great. I've done beginner and intermediate and have signed up for the upcoming advanced classes. Nellie is amazing and is so good with the dogs. I highly recommend!

Had a wonderful experience at PetSmart Kanata today and we came home with a beautiful little kitten named Billy (my son decided to name him Fox). Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff from the greeting when we walked in to the minute we Checked out. We had three or four associates around us at all times ensuring that all our questions were answered, explaining the adoption process, helping with the paperwork, and even walking around with us to help us pick out all the right products for our newest family member. This was my son’s first pet and I am grateful for the team to have made it such an awesome experience. Thank you!
