We went in for cat grass for Christmas and walked out with a bed, treats, toys over and above the cat grass. Employee that cashed us out told us how to care for the grass going forward. Great deals as well as great service today and I will definitely be going back in the future.

My first EVER visit to PetSmart. Wanted to purchase a couple of Parakeets (BUDGIES) for my 3 year old niece.

Not enough employees to assist the 10-12 people in the store. After waiting for 15 mins I approached a worker at the front desk while she was on the phone texting. I got her attention and she approached the Birds aisle and I was told that I needed to purchase a Bird Cage with bigger dimensions than stated on the price tag of the Parakeets. MADE ZERO SENSE. Was very rude just based off her body language it seemed as if she didn’t want me in the store nor wanted to help or answer my questions.

I then told her that it says 18x24 inch on the price tag as the minimum cage dimensions. She replies saying no i cannot sell you the birds if you purchase the minimum dimensions as shown on the tag.

Just pathetic customer service and limited knowledge of the products being sold.

Never will I visit this store EVER again!

If you are going to the self serve pet bath forget it. I have had two bad experiences here. After the last one (area was dirty, aprons were worn out, too long to pay and get a towel), I thought it was an anomaly however on this visit I can see it is the norm. I arrived to give our Golden Retriever a bath and upon arriving the young man behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me and was more interested in a walk-in for grooming. I understand she was there prior to me however to not acknowledge and state he'd be with me shortly was rude. I felt totally unimportant to him. Finally after 5 minutes of being totally ignored I told him I just needed to pay for a self bath and he said just a moment. He finally went behind the counter and processed my payment. He then went back to the other customer to inspect the dogs nails etc. I asked him where my towel, that they provide, was. He said someone will be with you in a minute - I thought WHO.you didn't advise anyone to get me a towel. I am now waiting over 15 minutes to just bathe my dog. I mentioned the towel again and he said one moment and he proceeded to go into the back grooming area and work on the other dog. I waited another 5 minutes and then rang the buzzer. He looked out the window and held up his hand to indicate just a minute. I waited another 5 minutes and nothing happened so I rang the buzzer again and he looked out and I was animated in indicating I'm growing very impatient. He then picked up a phone and called someone. He then raised his hand jestering 1 minute. Finally after another 5 minutes or so someone came from the front with my towel. My wait totalled at least 25 minutes just for a SELF BATH. I asked the young lady who brought my towel immediately for my money back since this was a total horrible customer experience. I was also going to shop for a months worth of dog and cat food however left the store totally frustrated and with a loss of confidence in PetSmart to take care of my pet needs. I went to a nearby PetValu to bath my dog and it was less then a minute to pay and get my towel. PetValu bath area is much cleaner and better equipped with soaps and conditioners. It is obvious that PetSmart has no interest in serving self bath customers and thereby show no interest in customers period. There are many options for pet supplies and food in our area - I I am now using PetValu & Ren's and find them far better. Goodbye PetSmart. I'm gone.

The customer service is amazing! I highly recommend this place. I forgot the workers name but she was super helpful and nice!

Just recently adopted a kitten. Great place if your looking to adopt. Very clean store. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable and helpful. They truly care for all animals.

Sara groomed our two year old medium Goldendoodle on Sunday and we were very impressed. This is the first time he has been groomed without being completely shaved down. With tight curls we are always told he is matted and needs to be shaved. Not this time. He looks and feels like a teddy bear. Thanks Sara and well done PetSmart

I've had 3 appointments cancelled in the last 12 months as the groomer called in sick. What was more frustrating is that I was either on my way from Uxbridge or I had already arrived only to find out I had to turn around and go back home.

Young lady that we were dealing with for fish was great told me and my daughter what we needed how to care for it maintenance dogs and don'ts. Clean store friendly staff and helpful.

I absolutely love this petsmart it's in a amazing location, staff is wonderful! Wide variety of product. All around its a great store.

Horrendous customer service at this location, no one answers phones for grooming. Constantly overbooked, as it will help push their "express service". Poor management overall, can't book express service (only one without a kennel) online, and their phone lines are never attended to. Groomers are friendly.

Horrible service from groomers, my dog was refused because we couldnt provide her rabies paprers for the expiry date even tho the expiry date is on her tags, when we asked if we could go get the papers and return in less than 10 minutes we were told we couldnt and now have to rebook for next month. We have now lost out on a Paid cleaning that we cant use

The experience was great. I actually took longer to look at the better selection and fuller stock for my sweet little Guinea pigs. I was honestly starting to get flustered with myself cuz I had so many new toys treats etc.that I wanted to get them but I had to tell myself Mommy can try different stuff next time

The cashiers provide excellent customer service. Grooming section is a nightmare. They over book and cancel appointments often. Twice in 2 weeks for us. Last time the groomer injured the dog. The store did pay for the vet bill but definitely not worth the hassle of being cancelled 3 times for groomers that can't even keep the dog safe.

We had the best customer relation experience with this location today, so much so that I wanted to come on here and rave about them. Shout out to the kind gentlemen who answered our phone call earlier and the young women, with fabulous pink nails, who assisted us with looking at their guinea pigs. She was knowledgeable, was very sweet, and we would return for their quality service and expertise any day. In a world where service matters, we would not recommend the Pickering location at all, as they were the total opposite of the professionalism we received this afternoon at the Whitby North location. Kudos for this team for going above and beyond, thank you for the time, attention to detail, and customer appreciation! A+

This location is always clean and organized. The associates are friendly. I receive great customer service every time.

This review is for the grooming service. I have been here twice to groom my puppy. Once when he was 5 months and then a couple months after. The first time would have been 5 stars - I did the puppy bath and brush and added the top paw. He was clean, his nails (which were the biggest thing for me) were trimmed short, and he seemed in a good mood, the only thing they missed was the cologne he was supposed to get but whatever didn't bother me too much. The second groom was probably 3 stars, he did seem clean but his nails looked the same. Weren't any shorter, especially his dew claws. I wished I took pictures before and after to compare. Anyway, the 1 star I'm giving is because I want other pet owners to know that Amy probably traumatised my puppy. She had him for two hours, in that time I don't believe she took the caring, patience and compassion it is you need with puppies because now he completely looses it when I touch his paws - something he didn't have a problem with as a younger puppy because I trained him to be good when people touch his paws, ears, teeth etc. Now I have to slowly work on what she undid. Please don't bring your dog to see Amy.

So unprofessional seems like this location is going down hill fast. Tried to book an appointment last week for both of my dogs, had a hard time doing it on the website so I decided to call in. Spoke to a staff member, won’t mention any names, she managed to book my one dog in but had a hard time booking my other dog in to the system, so she was going to get a manager to see how to fix the situation, then somehow we got disconnected. She never called me back or got the manager or fixed the situation for that matter. So as I waited a week for my appointment I called two days before to verify it was for both in my dogs only to find out they didn’t book my other dog in and now had to book another appointment which was now another week later.
Now comes the day of my first dogs appointment and I get a call that the hair cutter is not feeling well, so we have to reschedule, now this appointment will be an additional two weeks later and instead of saying let’s squeeze you in as fast as possible they offer some premium add on like better conditioner? Really?
So I booked both my dogs into another groomer on the same day, 4 days from now.
Good hair cuts when you can get them done, but overall customer service is lacking for 2021.

Very helpful staff, my pomeranians love to visit, reasonable pricing on all items. Great end of season prices on toys.

So very unpleasant experience with grooming at this location. I took my shiatzu for a full grooming there and the groomer could NOT finished the service on the day scheduled (made me pay full + additional services that I bought) and reschedule to a week ahead to complete the grooming service. But guess what? She COULDNT finish the grooming again saying that my 10 years old shiatzu was biting and she could not handle it. That's how I took my dog home. Never EVER coming back to this location. Also, paid for a teeth cleaning that was NOT done and no money was returned! I never felt so stolen.

Kinda small but their Grooming services are amazing. What they can do is put of this world and their employees are really nice to the animals and customers.

Took our puppy Milo at 5 months for a bath, nail trim & ear clean. I was nervous how he would be but Lauren was so excellent with me and him! Highly recommend her for her customer service and was very genuine and patient.
Can’t wait to go back next month!

Never ever buy an animal from this place. I have 2 from petsmart and the 1 has an infection in its tail. And they both started refusing to eat anything after the 1 week return period. And have not eaten in weeks. This is because of neglect and they are not socialized enough to sell to people.

I've always had great service from the staff here. Prices are fair compared to other pet stores, and stock levels always seem good.

The animals have excellent caregivers, the store has an excellent selection of pet supplies, and the staff are always friendly!

So Knowledgeable, Clean&Bright and Great products! Convenient on-line ordering with good discounts. Love the points system too!

I usually drive a friend to the PetSmart on Taunton in Oshawa but they never seem to have stock of the aquarium filters and they usually only have the small sized boxes in stock so this time I suggested that I take her to the one located on Taunton in Whitby, they usually are well stocked. Sure enough we weren't disappointed they not only had stock but the larger boxes were available and the service and parking is always great!

As far as pet smarts go, this is one of the best ones I've seen. Clean, cleaner than most pet stores, even the fish tanks everything. Good stock, and friendly staff.

Just went in on a Saturday and looked around for someone to help with rabbit bedding that was on sale and out of reach and no help anywhere. Finally went to ask the cashier and she called someone and I waited and no one ever came. Ended up leaving. Hopefully better luck at another location.

Our 12 week old Boston Terrier had her first visit at the Pet Smart spa today! Lindsay and her coworker were amazing with our little pup Molly and asked if they could keep her!

Nails done, ears done and all shampooed and she left there smelling like sweet cookies! The gals at the spa were exceptional and we found this throughout the store, everyone was pleasant and helpful. Best part was having our pup all tired out from her fun day out!

Thanks to Lindsay and her coworker at the spa and to all of the staff at Pet Smart Whitby for the amazing customer service.

Prices are as great as the service.

I don't know what they did to my dog during a simple nail trim last time, but my dog who has always been fine with it will now freak out every time I wipe his paws. I don't think that should be happening

Everything you need for you pet is there, and all anmails are in good care but one. The fish arent taken care properly as I personally suggest you dont buy one there as my friend did and it died the next day. When looking at the fish you can tell they arent being taking care of because, there are died fish in the tank that haven't been cleaned out. I went there one week and told an employee, I went there the next week and they still did nothing. If you would like to buy a plant there for your fish tank, I suggest not as they packed the plants wrong and get destroyed
. Overall just dont buy plants or fish here I suggest going to Big Al's for that.

We just got our dog groomed there for the 4th time and we are beyond pleased. Emily R has groomed our dog for the past year and she is amazing!

Staff is very helpful here, whether you know what you're looking for or not. It's expensive here, but if you're looking for specialty products, this is a good place to start.

Friendly, helpful staff helped me find exactly what I was looking for! I have a dog who is a huge chewer and the bones reccomend have been great. My dog normally destroys toys that are supposed to be chew proof. Like the first hose toys, they don't last long in my house. My furniture is finally safe as long as he has something to chew on all the time lol.

Convenient location. I was welcomed by the cashier. They have everything you need for any type of pet. Cats are available for adoption. Prices are pretty good too. Self serve dog washing station available. I'm sure they have dog training classes as well.

Kelly and others are great help and always have a smile and kind word. The fish and reptile ladies are top notch!

This place has almost anything you would ever need. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I mostly go there for fish and fish supplies. They have a wide variety and plenty of tanks to choose from.

Pretty much same thing at all pet smarts. Customer service is terrible and they know absolutely nothing. But this location is exceptionally brutal. Need fish? Go to big Al's, need dog or cat stuff? Go to rens. Petsmart doesn't need your money.

Today is the third time PetSmart has called to tell me they can't take the dog in for a scheduled groom. Doesn't even try to offer compensation. We were told by the manager to keep up with the groom's every month and a half so our dog doesn't get to matted. How are we supposed to do that when you reschedule all the time?

Staff are usually helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are a little above average, but sales are frequent - be sure to sign up for their perk system, as that's how you get many of their discounts.

First time in this location. I like this location. Has more options to purchase. Adoption etc. Store is nicer. Clean. Friendly staff

I bought the expensive coconut spaw package for my dog along with grooming. For total of $145 my dog got average shave. The shave was uneven in the tummy, her ears were not cleaned, her tail was not trimmed and her nails were also not cut in all the paws. All this was supposed to be included in the package I bought. She came back with uneven trim along her chest aswell. Waste of my money. I am not sure they even did everything you quote on your add on package as it mentioned coconut balm massage for her paws and nose and her paw pads were rough and dry when I picked her up. Never bringing my dogs here again.

Great selection. Staff are helpful and friendly. I always come here to purchase dry food for my cats.

Very clean and spacious, not many pet selections, only some fish, birds and hamsters. Has pet grooming and training service.

Carm is the best cashier there, shes always so sweet and brightens your day, and she seems to know everything! Love going in and seeing her smile when she greets me!

Yvonne is the worst customer service rep at this location. She is full of lies and has very poor customer service skills. Do not let her groom your dog.

I was looking forward to our training class at the new store. Walking in, the store looked big and clean. As I arrived at the training station, I could not believe how ridiculously small it was. I thought it would be an improvement from the old store. I was very disappointed. I am signed up for the next training classes but I might reconsider cancelling. My only reason to stay is because Caitlin is an amazing trainer.

Great place to shop. Great prices and deals. They have pets for adoption and sale and they have a groomer in the store. I bought a beautiful cat tower and it was a deal compared to pet valu and it is solid and will last along time my cats love it. Pet values towers we're paper thin and more expensive then Pet smart. I go with PetSmart over any pet place.
