Ren's Pets Brantford

I did buy my dog food here because they always seem to have it, unlike other pet stores in Brantford. HOWEVER BEWARE.on other items they are scamming customers! Example the Esbilac 2nd Step puppy milk is priced at $39.99 can. At Paulmacs it is $20.99 and at Pet Valu it is $23.99 (same EXACT product and size)
I know this because I have always bought the puppy milk at Paulmacs but they had run out so I went to Ren's. Double the price.are you kidding me what B. S. I told the associate that helped me to find it and they were also surprised but said they would price match. That works for someone like me who knows better, but what about anyone else who doesn't know that Ren's is seriously price gouging them. What a joke! I will only be going to Paulmacs (Fairview Dr) or
Pet Valu (King George Rd) for everything, including my dog food from now on. I can't trust Ren's any longer. I could understand a couple dollars difference but NOT DOUBLE.

The store is so clean and easy to find everything. The staff are super helpful and sweet. They always have deals on toys and treats

The staff there was absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of working with Erin. She was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond while assisting myself and another customer.

Staff was great they actually had a product that I could t find anywhere else for tick and flea protection with pesticides and that works! Especially for pregnant and nursing dogs. The girl that helped me even took the time to read the paperwork innthe package and has had repetitive customers buying this product

I love their products and their customer service people are very polite, but I've run into a few issues regarding the knowledge of some of the people that work there. As a dog groomer, I frequent this place often but ALWAYS find the products I need to be out of stock in the conveniently located Brantford location. I usually have to make the drive to another Rens to fulfill my regular orders. I was told I could place an order online and it would be shipped to my door instead of having to drive nearly 2 hours out of my way for parts I need to keep my business running. I tried that but the parts were never delivered and had to fight the shipping company to get a refund. When I called ahead one time, I asked the nice lady on the phone that before I make the extra trip into town, do you have this *specific * part in stock. I repeated the name of the part several times and asked for her to write it down as I spell it out because I've ran into the issue before that they got my part written down wrong. She assured me they had exactly 2 in stock. I asked her to keep them for me, and I'll be packing up my kids as we speak to come get this part that I require to go back to work the following day. I couldn't use my clippers anymore without the blade drive replacement. I said it many times, " AGC 2 speed blade drive REPLACEMENT. " LOL I drove the 35 minutes, and when I arrived, she handed me 2 boxes of the AGC clippers.just the clippers. They were nearly $300 a piece, but I explained over the phone that the part I need is only like $12-$14. I had also previously put in an order for 5 blade drive replacements so I don't keep running into this issue but every time I called for an update, no one had any answers as to where my parts were. Since I needed this $12 part to continue grooming, and they didn't have it in stock after placing an order weeks previous and having driven in to get the part they told me they had but really they didn't, I ended up having to spend $300.00 to buy a whole new set of clippers, simply for the $12 blade drive replacement. I wasn't happy and I was told I couldn't return the clippers if used. That I get but I wouldn't have had to spend the $300 or make the unnecessary trip into town if they kept this part in stock. Every time I'd ask for it, they always say that this is a part they can't keep in stock due to it selling out so quickly. Then why wouldn't they order more? Knowing it's a popular item and they regularly run into this issue? Anyways, besides this, I like them. Shampoos are affordable, lots of selection and the people are very friendly.they just lack the knowledge and organization to be able to service Pet groomers, seems like they aim to service regular pet owners as opposed to professionals. Hopefully this issue gets resolved soon or I will have to find another company to help me. Many of my fellow pet groomers also have the same problem and have begun to use Deboers or American companies to fulfill thier needs.

My dog went with me to get dog food and some sweaters. She meets new friends. She also sniffs everything in sight and then tries to steal cookies from bottom shelves. Gotta watch this one!

I wanted to thank the cashier who served me today. I am at pet owner who is dealing with a super senior who was diagnosed with jaw cancer at the age of 16. The information and general concern and compassion meant the world. Thank you for your kindness and understanding.

Great pet store with lots to offer. Staff are happy and welcoming, this store has good customer service and I would come here regularly.

Fantastic pet store! They have almost every thing you could possibly want/need for your furry and feathered friends! The staff are amazing! So helpful! They very clearly care for your little fuzzy family members! We love this place!

My pup loves this place and the staff. I like the assortment of raw food options I get to pick for my puppy.

Went into the store wasn’t too sure what to buy. Went up to the cashier (who by the way was wonderful). Walked back with me and was very patient while I made a tough choice

Store is large and has a lot of selection but could use some organization. As it tends to be a dog and cat store it should be segregated that way so items are easy to find. Example is the leash and halter lines up by the front cash which are no where near the other leashes.

This had to be one of the m nicest pet stores I've ever been inside! Upon entering, you can even weight your pup to see how their weight is.
There is a huge variety of toys, food and accessories. I was like a kid in a candy store!
The only downside, it is quite costly. I was a bit disappointed how expensive the products were.
Other than that, the staff was really friendly and helpful. It was a nice experience.

Great store, staff are always helpful and will go out if their way for you. Allot of selection and pricing is pretty good, many sales and discounts are always on going.

Their exchange policy is very bad they want you to take the tag with the return Dosent matter if you have bill or proof of purchase in their computer and not very polite we spend every 2 weeks more then $150 at the store and first time ever toke the collar back cause it was attaching lose and not very easy exchange experience pets mart is the best in exchange policy they should really work on their tone and exchange policy.

We went and met Gabby and Erin who were absolutely fantastic! Nicest people I’ve met in customer service skills. They were able to help with my shopping needs, my return, and were very knowledgeable about their products! Even though their registers were not working right and they had to take notes of every item being rung in, they were able to help us with everything with such a positive attitude. I hope their manager sees this because those women were absolutely incredible and we will be coming back again! Thank you Gabby and Erin!

Staff is always super helpful. Variety and stock are always plentiful. I love the rewards points system they have.

They staff is excellent. A favorite item was on backorder. It was due to arrive this past week and as I was out of town they held some for me until today.

Ren's always seems to have what we' re looking for so it has become our preferred source for food and toys for our Labrador Retrievers.

I am NEVER disappointed when I come here. The staff are very knowledgeable and kind. Very professional.
They always have what I need for my pets. I.e. HUGE boxes of Timothy hay for my guinea pig.
Background on my last visit:
After months of dealing with hot spots/seasonal allergy reactions i tried everything I normally did for my dog. Nothing worked. I finally went in, after feeling overwhelmed and stressed and wanting to cry hoping to find something that would help my poor girl. I wish I got the girls name but she was super helpful. I explained what was going on after staring at the different products on the shelf and she immediately showed me a shampoo and then led me over to a spray. I've been using these for about 3 days and the problems have almost disappeared completely. Remembering ive been dealing with this for months.

Why the long story? Simply because I went in for relief from a problem and not only did they sell me amazing product- it was not expensive. That shows me they actually care about the animals and not just profit.

Not to mention they are always stocked, always clean and are taking the pandemic seriously and handling it properly. If you are thinking of coming here, I highly recommend!

Always have our brand of dog food in stock. Good selection of toys and anything else I need for my dogs.

Love this location! The staff are always friendly and helpful with a good variety of treats including a wide selection of Canadian treats for dogs (including a few brands from Ontario) my dog is on a specific Royal Canin food that can be hard to find but they've made sure it is in stock for me! I try to shop here for all my pet needs.

Suzie was amazing!
She went above and beyond for giving service.
When my order was complete Suzie sold me some extra treats for my dog. I know it was an up-sell but it was a great deal.

Tried several times now to place online orders for curb side pickup. Every time our order gets canceled? I don’t understand the product is shown as available online we go through the transaction just fine and get notification of a pick up time then bam next day the order is canceled with no explanation. It’s extremely frustrating to say the least!

Went in to purchase filters for our cats water fountain. I briefly looked for the filters and I did not see them. I approached a store representative to ask if she knew if they had any filters available. She told me "they would be back there if they had them" l then asked her if she knew if the filters would be hanging up on the shelving? To which she replied "l would assume so. " I am not usually the one in our household to buy these filters, so l was not sure what i needed. So with her "l assume so" being no help, I purchased what I needed from another pet store in the next plaza.
We bought the cat fountain from your store, and we have been purchasing our cat food and treats from your store. I guess our original switch from the store in the plaza across from you was a mistake. Thanks for trying, but I will not be made to feel stupid because I don't know where something is in your store.

Literally never have anything in stock which is frustrating because I always have to go all the way to the Kitchener store, and this store is 2km away. Id suggest getting a handle on your raw stock because this is awful.

My daughter had ordered cat food for pickup, and the staff was very helpful and efficient when I went to get it.

Awesome pet store better than the rest and quality items at amazing prices and they are all so friendly and reliable, wow huge selection and if they don't have it they can get it for you right away. I would recommend this store for your dogs I have an American bull dog and he loves their treats and selection I can't really say or think of anything bad.check them out you will be amazed by how friendly they are thanks for being there for my dog.

Cashier or whatever, was rude with a strong attitude. Wearing gloves the whole time without changing them. Kind of pointless if someone thinks thats going to protect them.
