Went to exchange a product today. The associates were super friwndly and answered all questions with a smile. Turned out I made a mistake but they were still happu to help me and make it right. Thank you so much

I went to Rens pets today after a 12 hour shift. I work in the west end and was hoping I would get there just in time to grab the one day special for 50% off. I just made it by the skin of my teeth! I ran it with a couple minutes to get what I needed. The two girls that were there tonight (didn’t even ask their names which isn’t like me) were so friendly and chatty with me. I was just so happy that I just made it in time. I had a question about the items I picked up and they were very nice and helpful. It was Monday night Nov 20. I wish I would’ve gotten their names but o got caught up in the excitement of barely making it and actually said out loud when I walked in …. Yes! I made it! Lol they were really sweet and I appreciated them being so thoughtful by answering my question and taking up their time when it was closed at this point. Always a pleasure going here as staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. Always willing to help.

I visited your store on oct 21 because my dog was dealing with some really bad food allergy. Hailey immediately went out of her way to help us, asked questions and recommended a well priced dog food that helped a lot. Mollys poops are better and 3 weeks on it she is not scratching at all. Every time I visit Rens Pets store the staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. Especially Jenson. He helped me so much. I had so many questions and he had patience to answer them and give me his opinion. Made my visit that much more of a positive experience. I will be visiting again.

I went inlooking for a coat for one of my dogs and they had a ton of options but sizes weren't the best! They always have sales which is nice!

Great place with a nice variety of food & toys. Always has sample treats so the pup loves going in and extremely helpful-friendly staff.

I've visited this location a few times to get some birdseed. The store is very clean, neat and organized.

Access to the parking lot is a better now that most of the construction for the LRT is complete.

Staff are always ready and willing to help find what you are looking for, and know the products that they carry.

I like going here to get my feathered friends their food. The website can identify stock levels, and is pretty accurate too!

Great store with a large variety of raw food offerings. My only complaint is that the prices are inflated so that they can offer "sales" more often. We've never like that but still a great store to shop

I can always depend on them having what i need for grooming/work supplies; they have more grooming stock than the ren's downtown and the ren's in barrie.staff are also friendly and helpful.

Horrible customer service online. Go in store and save your time and money. They are not accommodating and quick to pawn your concern off onto "the status quo" or the customer themselves.

Remember to check your receipt when you're done paying. The staff was very rude. The staff will scan more of your items and make you spend more money when you're not looking. I store at this store all the time never had such bad staff. If you don't love your job, please change your job and don't screw up the customers！！I hope that staff woman reads my comment and stops this behavior of yours!

Not so good. Website says they have 1 Eukanuba Senior Lamb 13.6 kg in stock. Drive 15 km to find out they don't have it. You could think someone just got there before me but NO they assure me they NEVER carry Eukanuba dry food. So then update your iei27! $& website!

They have a wide variety of pet foods in a wide variety of prices. They also have many other items to accommodate and pamper our pets. The service is very nice.

I could NOT recommend Ren's Pets enough! Every staff member here has always gone above and beyond in assisting me with various items. Whether I was looking for a harness, treats or toys, Ren's Staff always knows what to recommend. One of the male employees (Tall, Blonde hair, maybe glasses?) recommended some salmon oil for my dog's dry skin which significantly improved his itchiness.
Another employee, (a tall lady with really nice red hair), and the store manager, Siobhan, recommended a Kong Teaser Toy where there's a tennis ball in a bigger ball after my dog destroyed a different toy I had just bought. Honestly I must say, asking the employees for advice on what to grab for your dog is absolutely worth it. I have a rambunctious border collie mix who tears through some toys like presents on Christmas morning, however after talking to the staff, I found Jolly Ball and Kong toys do stand up to the toy destroyer.
This store has an amazing selection of natural chews, toys, collars, food, bedding/other necessities and sometimes there's GREAT sales! The items are always high quality and you can shop here with certainty that the staff will help you find the PERFECT item for your pet!
They truly love your dog like their own when you are able to bring your dog in and their curbside pickup is wonderful and efficient. The young man who handled my sale in early May was SO nice and friendly. Overall DEFINITLEY go to Ren's pets! It is SO worth it!

Best pet store in the area in my opinion. Decent prices, good deals when they have sales but above all else the staff are actually helpful. They continually put the time and effort into helping me get the right product at the best price. I'd recommend them to my friends and family any day, without hesitation.

They were closing in 12 minutes and I had to get my cats calming vapor. The plug in type. So I called ahead and told him I'll be there in about 11 minutes. Which I was and they had it ready for me. I was able to pick up the item I needed. I'm very thankful that they were able to do this for me. Thank you.

Ren's Pets Scarborough is the best pet supply and food store in the GTA! Sean and Siobhan are extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to their products and pets in general. My Boston Terrier was suffering from major skin issues / allergies and they helped me through this difficult time with advice and support. Today Munchies is thriving once again, thanks to her holistic vet located in Newmarket and the wonderful staff at Ren's Pets Scarborough!

A great place for quality treats at a good price point. However, the implemented system for curbside pick up is not great. The website is also very slow when navigating pages and making purchases. Luckily, you will get a great customer service from knowledgeable staff that keeps me coming back in light of their deficiencies in the POS, website and curbside pick up systems lol! That's why I gave 4 stars and the staff deserve better business management and support from Rens

This place is great! It's a smaller pet store but does have quality items. It can be a bit pricy for certain items but when they're items go on sale they usually have great deals. The staff are friendly and very helpful. It's nice especially when you are a new pet owner so they can answer any questions. Definitely would recommend this place.

All Canadian but you pay for what you get. They stock hard to find items and "nicer" things. Good selection of toys, food and treats, but some items are overpriced.

Friendly staff. Great Covid protocols - customer counts in store, sanitization between customers at cash. POS system was slow when I was there but that isnot the staff's gault!

Women at cash was rude. I asked her one question and she answered it. Then she badgered me continuously while I was on the phon with my daughter.

Great selection of food, toys, grooming, treats, leashes and harnesses etc. It is a great alternative to Petsmart and they have alot of selection of more niches products. The staff are very nice and will do their best to help from my experience. Also have alot of sales and specials, so check out their flyer or online.

This is my go to store when I'm running really low on dog food! I usually shop at Global Pet Foods in Markham. If there was a Ren's Pets in Markham, I would definitely shop there! Their sales are great!

I've shopped at this location several times and the staff have been friendly and knowledgeable. This rating is based on my visit yesterday.

There was one clerk sitting at the front of the store. I walked down all the aisles searching for the new brand of dog food we've switched our dog to. Of course it was in the last aisle! When I finally found it, I noticed there were two different packaging. I had to walk to the front of the store and ask the clerk to come to the shelf and show her the packaging. She had NO clue why the packing was different. Another clerk walked by and I asked him as well. He also had NO clue but managed to say that maybe the new one was probably cheaper to make?

They both left me at the shelf to figure it out for myself and offered NO assistance in carrying the 25 lb bag to the cash or to my car! (I am a petite person.)

I don't know where the other staff were, but if this is the service I can expect to receive at Ren's Pets, I'll have to evaluate if I want to shop at this location again!

For pet owners, the choice of let stores is ever growing in Toronto. Stumbled upon this store (I must admit our go to is global pet), however this place is just amazing. So many choices and alternatives to the main stream pet value, global and pet smart. Check them out and perhaps you will find something your pet will love!

Over priced dog and cat food, very little in the way of fish or rodent food
Lack of customer service, due to the fact that they have very little customers
It's hard to find an employee for assistance

Second visit this weekend. Staff are friendly and store seems to be well stocked. Usually some good deals to be found.

Horrible location, staff has no knowledge of anything they sell. What happened to the old staff? White washed the whole store with people who know nothing. Doesn’t reflect the demographics of the area which is transparent tbh. Sad to see that type of business practice in this time of day. I don’t know what’s worse their Ajax location or this one. Will stick with traveling further out to Whitby.

Edit: This companies copy and paste response to all reviews is transparent on how the company treats its customer. Zero care. All reviews that provide feedback about how poorly run a location is should be enough call to action to look into and fix something. Why would I reach out to say exactly what I said in here?

I own a guinea pig, so I use to come to this location very frequently. The staff was so helpful and made me feel so welcomed. But recently it has not been the same. No one was even giving me the time of day. I don't know if it has anything to do with new management, but I was not happy. I was actually very disappointed. I will not be returning to this location.

I order my Aspen Shavings in bulk by phone (their suggestion/product not always available in store/will order). Staff always helpful, efficient and friendly. It's especially nice of them to carry my purchase out to my car (they offer everytime - never had to ask). Thank you. Nice.

Used to love coming to this location. My dogs loved the previous manager and staff. They were all so friendly, helpful and you can always rely on them to take care of you. On my recent visit to the store something shifted. They’re wasn’t anyone I can find to help me out. The new staffs are slower and look unsure of some of the products they sell. I get it. They have a new staff and will take awhile to train them, but Get someone who can actually run the store during hours because all these new trainees are not gonna cut it for me and my dogs. I had to force my dogs to enter the store that day. I knew and my dogs knew this place is no good. I’m sad, my dogs are sad. This whole store is sad. Defiantly recommend global pet foods!

Recommended by a friend to come here but I found it very unwelcoming. There’s better places to go where my money is valued.

I've been debating to write this review. I used to come in here feeling welcomed and treated like family. In recent times it has not been the case. For the past few times I've entered in the store, I was not greeted by anyone and I had to call out for someone to help me. The last time I went, I asked if Maurice was working because he was always my go-to person to talk to about my dog's severe allergies. I was disappointed to hear from an employee with blond hair (sorry I don't know her name) that he was fired. I'm sorry to say I haven't been back since.

Good service, asked if we needed help and was friendly. Options for dog toys was great but I was looking for some shampoos and there weren't that many. Left with a frisbee

This location is actually terrible. They're consistently out of stock of the same items for months at a time (clearly an inventory management issue), none of the associates are knowledgeable about really any products in the store (if you can even find someone) and a couple months back they had a raccoon in a crate that belonged to someone who worked there on a busy Saturday? ! Wild.

Great selection of dog food, had to previously change our dogs food twice since the other shop we went to would never keep the same one in stock. Was able to find his food right away here, and in a HUGE bag too. Super friendly staff and even a reward program. Will definitely be returning

Impressed with the selection of good quality grooming tools and shampoos here. They stock the Millers Forge red handle nail clippers which are the last word in nail trimming

Prices very comparable to global or pet valu. Also saw a bag of food that was for over $120, how are your products even "affordable? "

Drove with my dachs down to the store multiple times within this month now and i’m STILL waiting for the food I ordered, bad service

I have been a valuable customer at rens pet depot for a couple of years now in Scarborough. Recently, I noticed this store had a complete change in staff. The new staff never greet me as I walk in or ask me if I need any assistance. No in is EVER at the cash register and they always make me wait to pay for my purchases. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I miss your old staff, as they genuinely seemed like they cared and gave excellent customer service. I now shop at pet smart.so disappointed. Do not go here
Ps. They also did not carry and food for my pet tarantula. I’m shocked.
