Ren's Pets Waterloo

I wanted to give a big thank you to Savannah at the Waterloo Ren's. I had to find a new dog food for my boy with limited ingredients as he has many allergies. She was very knowledgeable and took her time helping us find the right food for him. I really appreciate all of her help as what started out being an overwhelming experience turned out to become where I left with more knowledge on what is in the dog food, to finding the best food option for my dog.

Excellent customer service and nice reward system that provides so many dollars off once a threshold has been met.

There is one cashier was particularly rude in this store. 3 out of 4 visits so far were extremely unpleasant. No complaints to Ren's pet in general, but I will prefer online delivery instead. Never going back again.

Kudos for providing a discount on pet food for those who get dog licenses in the region of Waterloo

Forgot the brand I ordered during lockdown and the friendly employee looked it up and took me right over to where they carry the food I wanted. Great staff, great products. Always have what I need in stock and very knowledgeable staff!

One star for the nice store…. Zero stars for all staff! The most unfriendly, unhelpful staff. Will definitely not shop at this location again. Purchased a WAHL trimmer that had clearly been returned due to faulty product. Item was returned to the locked glass unit to be purchased again! When we returned not one staff apologized for the inconvenience or the error that THEY put it back on the shelf (there was a date hand written on the box when it was returned). So customers need to inspect the box for that info…just in case? Customer service at this location is simply horrible! By all staff We have experienced in the past few months.

A big store with everything I need for my dogs, guinea pigs and gecko. The selection was ideal. The prices were fair. The staff member (I'm sorry that can't remember her name.) was exceptionally kind and patient with me and all my questions. Thank you!

Always a pleasure going to Rens. The staff are super friendly and always available to help. I do find however that they have a lot of items out of stock but if you ask them to call you when an item you need comes in they are always on the ball with that!

Had everything we were looking for. Browsed online before going and website stock was correct. Staff was helpful and super friendly, store was impeccable.

Great store that has enough space to move around in and find what you want. Knowledgeable staff, which some of the other pet stores need to copy.

1st time there. Lots of selections of items from pet food to treats and toys.prices seem reasonable.

I’ve been going to Pet Value and Global for a while but recently went to Rens. They have far more choices than the other stores. Definitely will be going here from now on.

I adore coming here for my kitten! He loves the toys that I bring from here and the staff is always so kind and helpful with everything. They have a great selection of items you need for your furry friends! Such a welcoming atmosphere. They have great sales too!

Helpful and pleasant staff. A good selection of dog toys and food. My doggie loves visiting this store. He gives it a five star.

I walked in the store in the pet store lastnight (jan/5/20 around 4pm and asked an employee name (Layla) if she could help me with some allergy food cuz my dog is allergic to certain food and the employee (Layla) says to me I don’t have time that just buy the same food you’ve been buying and walks away.when I’m clearly telling her I wanna try something new cuz the food I’m giving my dog isn’t working.very very poor customer service.

Tanya was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and energetic. You can tell she loves her job! She helped us pick out our pet supplies and was a pleasure. Hard to find in retail stores these days.

Customer service seems okay, however nothing but inconsistency when it comes free bags of dog food. Shopped here for over two years and last 3 times was told next time free bag and they never follow through. Never received a free bag and all they have to say is "yeah I'm sorry, I hear that often".

I come here to get all my dogs things! It is one of the cleanest pet stores i have ever been to! Great products and amazing staff!

I was looking for a large bag of safflower seed as it is more economical than the small bags Lowe's, Home Depot or Walmart sells. They ordered it in and called me when it arrived. Very accommodating.

I have nothing but great things to say about this Rens. The staff have gone above and beyond every time I have questions. I misjudged the size of my trunk and had to shove a cat tree in. The cashier helped carry it, and didn't laugh at me pathetically trying to convince myself if I try multiple angles it will fit. I love the staff here so much that I do not shop anywhere else, unless I absolutely have to. The sales are decent, and I have found certain items are cheaper at Rens than places down the street.

Normally i love this location but it took 10 minutes for a staff member to clue in that someone was waiting at the till (they were all talking in rooms at the back that I could see from the front. Cashier made no apology from the wait and made me feel as though I was unwelcome. Will likely stuck to the store on Victoria or order through the website

Standard Ren's Pets. The staff are not as warm as other pet shops. The tent sale was ok. Overall they have a good selection.

I don’t usually go to Ren’s but I got a new puppy and my daughter says she loves the one in Ottawa. I went in with my new pup and the staff did greet me. I started looking around at treats and leashes and stuff but noone asked if I wanted help. A few staff members walked by me and didn’t even see if I was doing ok. I actually texted my daughter in Ottawa and asked her what are the best treats I should get! She said the Ottawa store staff are very informative and are eager to help. I would of spent a lot more money if I had help. I will go to Ren’s again but maybe a different location!

Staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable! We always feel like we get our money's worth shopping here. I like the quality of the products they deal with. A litter higher end then some of the other "pet" stores. They also have a 30 day money back on everything. We have never used this policy but good to know we have the option.

With recent news of illnesses possibly related to certain brands of dog foods, I went in looking for some advice with my next purchase. The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable and shared lots of information that helped me make an informed decision.

Usually, it a good experience. Today thought customer service was not up to their best.

Great selection, always clean and greeted when we walk in. Prices are a bit more than other places but there is often great sales.

The Rens at the Boardwalk never has what I'm looking for. The staff is not very customer service oriented either. They seem to go out if their way to avoid helping you.

Anything and everything you need for dogs and cats.
Not so much small animals but you can get bedding for hamsters aswell as food.

9 times out of 10 i have to actively seek out an employee for help here. Not the best customer service but it wont keep me from going back.

They always seem to have what I'm looking for and the staff are always friendly and helpful when I need assistance. Great selection of low ingredient foods and treats at a reasonable price.

Came here today to purchase a dremel and furminator brush for my dog. The staff were very friendly and offered my dog a treat. They were extremely helpful when it came to product knowledge.

The store is really nice. I like Nature's Miracle products, especially litter and they do not carry it. The cat section is very small for the size of the store
