Riverside Fish Hut

Food was hot and fresh.
November 10,2023. I decided to revisit this place. They did not disappoint. I had 2pc cod with fries. The fish had a light batter, mostly fish not batter. The fries we home cut and very fresh. The mean in general was excellent.

Classic fish 'n chips joint. You've got to give it a shot. Not many places nearby like it

Came to try the white fish and chips today, would 100% recommend. Came during lunch time for the lunch special price, the fish was juicy and tender and the fries were crisp. Can’t wait to try the haddock and halibut during my next visit.
Update: I just ordered the shrimp special and jumbo scallops, both were super tasty and pairs perfectly with the cocktail sauce. Just be careful when you eat the scallops as they burst with juice which can be hot when just served.

OMG it's totally awwwwwsome. I will be going back real soon. The food was excellent. Had the white fish and fries and the batter was nice and thin and again it's totally awwwwwsome. I'm sure you'll love it also

I live out of town and was in Cambridge for only supper. Was suggested I go for fish and chips. Down and this place did not disappoint. Fish was fresh and delicious. Fries did not taste fishy and the fish wasn't too greasy.

Cannot comment on the bathrooms as I did not use the facilities however the restaurant portion was kept very clean and the servers were extremely polite. I don't eat out often but I'm glad I did tonight.

This is a nice and very clean space to enjoy delicious sea food. I will highly recommend this place. The halibut tastes amazing! Fernando

This is the best fish and chips restaurant I’ve been to. The fish is fresh and tasty, and good price with the portion. My children love the crispy chips. We’ll definitely come back.

First time had fish and chips that did not taste good. Fries were not good at all. Got the special plus order of jumbo shrimp. My wife was upset too. Also the lady at the front only gave 2 tartar sauce packets and 1 seafood sauce. Will not go there again.

Great prices, reasonable food however the restaurant owner needs to hire more professional and active staff and and REALLY have to update the outdated 1990's decor and play at least some kind of music.

The best fish and chips I have tried, better than places in the GTA! Great price for the portion, I ordered the haddock and tasted really authentic to fish and chips in the UK. The onion rings were a surprise since I am often disappointed by them at other restaurants, but this place made them so deliciously. Staff and owner are really friendly people and the environment is really welcoming. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others!

Another great restaurant added to my favorite restaurant list. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting my order to be ready on time, as it was Good Friday.but I was proved wrong.

I phoned them for pick up at 3 and the order was ready when I got there which was amazing. Food was great and will definitely come back! 10/10 experience for me.

Had it for first time today and won’t be the last. Had the halibut and it was absolutely delicious. The batter is light and not greasy at all. Best fish and chips I’ve ever had.

Fish is great but they won’t have your order ready at the time you requested. Ordered for 2: 55pm and it’s currently 3: 35pm and we still haven’t received our pick-up order. Not impressed whatsoever. If you can’t accommodate the time then just say no.

Honestly upset when Stoyles closed but these guys are every bit as good. Highest recommendation

Wow really impressed, great prices, great options, great slow. Wouldn't change a single thing. Although with how great the fish and chips were, I wish there was some homemade tarter sauce.
